Nothing too special. Kinda reminds me of a dollar tree. Everything is 5 dollars or below. Mostly toys and junk. Yeah, mostly junk.

I found the perfect Easter dress at this location. I went to try it on. I nanny a boy with special…read moreneeds. The boy is NOT shy and doesn't care if he knows you or not, he will carry a conversation with anyone. Because he's very social, he has to be under close watch so he doesn't wander around to talk with every other customer and get lost. When I went to try on this perfect dress, he of course went with me. The old lady at the dressing room ARGUED WITH ME and had an attitude because "she didn't know why he needed to go back with me," despite me explaining that he has needs that are different from other boys!! She just "couldn't understand why he needed to go back there with me," so I finally told her he didn't have to if she was willing to watch him for me while I tried on the dress (which I would NOT have let that happen, but she -of course- IMMEDIATELY DECLINED--imagine that). I was disgusted and hung up the dress in her face and walked out of the store with my boy. This particular employee was gross and rude towards someone with needs that are different from others and dared to ARGUE about it! I will not be back because of how rude and nasty this old lady was to SOMEONE WHO HAS NEEDS that might NOT BE what -SHE- WANTED them to be!! Yucky.

This store has your basic items of clothes, shoes, socks, home and kitchen stuff and some decor…read more They just don't have an over abundance of stuff which is fine with me because they don't over crowd their store. It's easy to find or look for items because of that. The store stays cleaner and neater when it's not over stocked. They usually have a good price on the honey we like and some unique dish towels which make great house warming gifts. I like coming here for the socks. They have some interesting ones and at a good price. The staff is available if needed which I like and they don't disturb you while shopping. Senior discount is given on certain day of week just ask and be prepared with ID. Check out the jewelry section they have some nice pieces that are not expensive but good quality.

I believe as the world changes and the concept of how we do retail shopping expand more and more…read moreinto online purchases, department stores are going to have to figure out a way to survive this new trend. I believe that Dillard's seems to be shoving their head in the sand and hoping that the inevitable will not happen. I applaud companies like Macy's who are becoming very aggressive with pricing and continuous discounting, yet Dillards stands steadfast to not offering big sales. I have always considered Dillards to be on the same level as a Macy's, yet they try to price themselves to be something they are not. They try to believe they are more upscale because they want to be, nit because of the atmosphere, quality of goods or even quality of service. Go check them out. If you find skmething, great.

This is specifically for the Clinique makeup counter. Every once in awhile I decided to splurge on…read moreClinique makeup. I always get in and get out quickly and the staff is very friendly. Except, for today. I went into the store and saw that the one salesperson was helping another customer so I walked around to the lipstick side and begin looking at the colors. I fully expected a salesperson with all smiles to come over, offer to let me try some colors on, make recommendations, and try to sell other product. Instead I got: Salesperson "Uh, did you need something?" Me: "Yeah I was looking for some lipstick" Salesperson "Do you know what you want or are you still looking or....?" *Throws up hands in expasarated gesture* Me: I want this one. And I'd also like to look at some lip glosses. Salesperson: Well lipgloss doesn't go with that lipstick. Me: Ok.....I'll just take the lipstick then. She proceeds to stomp over to the counter and tell me my total. I ask about the price of some other product and she told me, but didn't ask if I wanted it. I briefly considered flouncing off ala Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman yelling about comission, but instead I took my lipstick and left. Will I buy Clinique again? Yes. From this particular salesperson? No. If you're charging higher prices, I should get some iota of customer service.

Deals, Deals, Deals !!…read more If you're in the Memphis area, then you have to check out the Southaven Outlets. This is a Tanger Mall, and although there are lots of deals to be found, you can find additional deals and discounts with the app. After a weekend in Memphis, I went to Southaven to find great deals. I stocked up on Columbia, PUMA, Nike, and Under Armour and even with the USD to CAD exchange rates, I still saved quite a bit of money. There are many stores to choose from, as well as coffee and food options, so that you can recharge and get more shopping done.

The moment I got there, I was hit with that familiar "Do I really need this?" battle in my brain as I eyed everything from Nike sneakers to Kate Spade handbags. The layout is open and bright, making it easy to wander from one store to the next without feeling like a lost tourist on a mall safari. Parking was plenty, so no awkward circling while pretending to look for a spot--always a win. Food options? Let's just say if you go expecting a five-course meal, you might want to pack a snack (or seven). Auntie Anne's Pretzels and Krispy Kreme do their best to keep spirits up, but I found myself dreaming of a food court throne to rest my weary feet and carb-load. By the time I left, my shopping bags were heavier than my willpower, and my wallet was a little lighter (thanks, good sales). Tanger Outlets is basically a retail therapy session disguised as a sunny day out--and honestly, I'd book an appointment again. Five stars for the deals, minus one star for the snack selection (I'm still salty about that).
