I have always considered Dillards to be on the same level as a Macy's, yet they try to price themselves to be something they are not. Except, for today. I went into the store and saw that the one salesperson was helping another customer so I walked around to the lipstick side and begin looking at the colors. I fully expected a salesperson with all smiles to come over, offer to let me try some colors on, make recommendations, and try to sell other product. Instead I got: Salesperson "Uh, did you need something?" Me: "Yeah I was looking for some lipstick" Salesperson "Do you know what you want or are you still looking or....?" *Throws up hands in expasarated gesture* Me: I want this one. And I'd also like to look at some lip glosses. Salesperson: Well lipgloss doesn't go with that lipstick. Me: Ok.....I'll just take the lipstick then. She proceeds to stomp over to the counter and tell me my total. I ask about the price of some other product and she told me, but didn't ask if I wanted it. I briefly considered flouncing off ala Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman yelling about comission, but instead I took my lipstick and left. Will I buy Clinique again? Yes. From this particular salesperson? No. If you're charging higher prices, I should get some iota of customer service.

That lets you know they have good workers here too. Some products are sold here that you can't find anywhere else. Their bedding is the most comfortable too. And there's a barber shop inside and the people in the barber shop were really nice. There is a small variety of fast fashion stores inside. My guess is the people local to this area stop and grab what they need and go. But the exterior and the way people are parked in front and the mall at the curb... security (I think they were security) just casually and unprofessionally hanging out. This mall is not somewhere you want to stop unless you're going to a specific store to get a specific thing. You wouldn't want to just stop here to browse at all.

Good stuff they had when I went today: The deluxe Crock-Pot with digital timer for less than $30. Ink Cartridges for my printer, 3 for $25. 6 jumbo rolls of TP for $3.50. I take these and other purchases to the register, and ask the cashier, "So how long have you guys been here?" He says 4 years. Really? I had no idea. I've driven past it countless times. Based on the merchandise in stock today, I would assume at least 75% comes from Costco. Don't expect to find anything in particular- Enjoy the unexpected. I'll be back soon.

This is a Tanger Mall, and although there are lots of deals to be found, you can find additional deals and discounts with the app. After a weekend in Memphis, I went to Southaven to find great deals. I stocked up on Columbia, PUMA, Nike, and Under Armour and even with the USD to CAD exchange rates, I still saved quite a bit of money. There are many stores to choose from, as well as coffee and food options, so that you can recharge and get more shopping done.
