I called on Saturday and spoke with Diane and apprised her of the situation. I told her that my husband and I would not be able to come in until Sunday and if they would hold the plants for us. Diane took my name and phone number and said that she would speak to Dennis and if there was a problem, she would call me back. Since I didn't hear from her, I thought that the plants were held and put aside. On Sunday, in 93 degree heat and high humidity, we looked near the barn to pick up our plants. Then I went in the store and asked the man behind the counter if they had plants held with my name. He had no clue! I asked to see Dennis or Diane and was told that both are off on Sunday. I was livid! Here I was told that they had the specific plants that I had been seeking, and then we couldn't locate them. We checked every greenhouse and table and could not find either of them! I called today and asked to speak with Dennis or Diane. Of course neither of them are working today! Then I asked if either of them was the owner and was told no. Then I asked who is the owner and who is in charge? The woman said that no one was in charge at the moment. This gave me no recourse, but to write a review of the situation in order to prevent this from happening to anyone else! Their prices are inflated and they don't tell the truth, but just want to get you in the garden center and hope that you'll spend a lot of money! I will never go there again!

They refused to make any adjustments and I received nothing but a sorry excuse that the "caller" referenced a Telaflora item number and that Teleflora set the price. They ignored the fact that call was made directly to Harker's and not via Telaflora and they laid the blame on Telaflora. Of course Harker's had no problem accepting $110 for a $19.95 product. They took advantage of a person in grief - SHAME ON HARKER'S I guess that Harkers never expected the purchaser from Brooklyn to see the flowers in person. Highway Robbery…read more Walked in for Roses. The florists brought me to the cooler which displayed a variety of Roses and informed the Rose price is $3.50 each. I asked for 5 roses. I then asked for white flowers to go with it. The florist suggested baby's breath. The baby's breath had 3-5 stems spreading off the main stem. I told the florist to cut one and use to add a slight touch to the 5 Roses. The florist asked if I'd like them wrapped I declined and said I have a wedding and I am just placing them inside the car so my passengers can grab them if they'd like. The florist asked to bunch together again. She confirmed they would be separate. I agreed $3.50 per rose I'm ready to hand $25 in cash At the register the florist said $43!! (This is for 5 roses, and ( 1) baby's breath stem) "Breakdown" $3.50 each Rose, instead of cutting a baby's breath (as mentioned) they used a bunch of stems for each rose and charged $2.50 each baby's breath. Roses and baby's breath ($30) they had the audacity to add a 35%!!! service charge!!! This is a florist. Service fee?? Be honest about the price and don't jump it up at the register! However, this particular occasion was simply a "just because" floral delivery to my girlfriend...and, happily, I think I got myself a "Get Out of a Mess Free" card. My initial order was via their website. It was easy to navigate, the selection was impressive, and I found the price of the flowers generally reasonable for the area. I was able to upgrade my order (I like to think ahead) and personalize a card to surprise my fempanion on a busy day. While there wasn't any time frame provided when I initially ordered, there was an option for quicker delivery (for an additional charge). As the day progressed, I was able to call the store directly and get a general idea of when the flowers would arrive. Fortunately, they made it there before the end of the work day. My fempanion sent this picture. It is definitely different than the picture, for which I was grateful as I had paid for an upgrade. The flowers were fresh, the delivery was courteous and professional, and my card was a hit. I am so grateful for this experience and would enthusiastically recommend them in the future.
