Rich the owner is so kind and tentative and should be proud of the space he's cultivated. Vincent is also super kind and was great in welcoming me to this new gym getting over my first timer nerves very quickly. If you are looking for a space where you can go in and out quickly this is a spot for you. I've never had to wait for a machine. They have all of the essentials for lifting cardio machines and sometimes there's a cute puppy or two. Lots of well seasoned lifters here as well as newbies. Great vibe and place!

New location windows completely covered with brown paper and a sign out front saying "this location is permanently closed." There was a door slightly ajar and what looked like people and possibly equipment inside, though I did not get a good look. I pulled the door partially open to go inside and had to let go because of a phone call. It looked like some people saw me. Took a few minutes to end the call, and during that time, I heard someone come up from the inside and close and lock the door. I called their phone number and no answer. Closed business? Moving? Just unfriendly? No idea, but it seems not to be a place to go. Save yourself some time and go elsewhere.

Out of every gym I've ever been to, this has honestly been my favorite gym in the world. The…read moreequipment is top-tier and always maintained so well, the atmosphere is amazing, and it somehow never feels overcrowded even during busy hours. The men's locker room and showers are always spotless, which says a lot about how much care the owner/staff put into the gym. Even the music and overall vibe are perfect, it's one of the only gyms where I don't even feel the need to wear earbuds because the environment itself motivates me to train harder. You can really tell this gym was built with passion and pride, and that's rare nowadays. It became part of my routine and honestly one of my favorite places to decompress after long work days. I've recommended it to friends and always spoke highly of it because it truly stands out from the typical commercial gyms.

After this experience, I will never join a gym again…read more I went to the gym in person to cancel my membership, as instructed. After completing the cancellation form, I asked for a copy. The staff member assured me he would email it to me. He also informed me that because I had missed the cancellation deadline, I would have to pay for one additional month. I wasn't thrilled, but I figured, "What's one more month?" Little did I know, this would turn into a six-month nightmare. The month after what I thought would be my final payment, I noticed another charge on my account. I called the gym, explained the mistake, and was told someone would call me back. They never did. A couple of weeks later, I called again. A woman answered and eventually called me back, explaining that she couldn't find the footage or the cancellation document I had signed. She assured me that my membership had been cancelled and that I shouldn't expect any further charges. When I described the employee who had helped me as a younger, blonde guy with a smaller frame, she said that would explain why she couldn't find the form. Another month passed, and I was charged AGAIN. I called, explained the situation, and was once again told someone would look into it and call me back. Sometimes nobody called. Other times, staff assured me the membership had been cancelled and that I had nothing to worry about. Yet the charges continued. Today, I called again, beyond frustrated that this has been going on for SIX MONTHS. Throughout this ordeal, staff members have repeatedly promised to help, but the issue remains unresolved. When I finally spoke with the manager, he told me that "this never happens," despite multiple online reviews describing similar experiences. He then suggested that I was partly to blame for allowing this to continue for six months without speaking up, claiming he had never been made aware of the issue. I explained that I HAD spoken up. I had called repeatedly, explained the situation to multiple employees, and followed their instructions. Each time, I was assured that my membership had been cancelled and the issue would be resolved. The manager then told me he couldn't simply refund six months of charges. Apparently, I could cancel my membership now, but I would have to pay for yet another month. Let that sink in. After repeatedly attempting to cancel my membership, being assured it was cancelled, and continuing to get charged because the gym apparently couldn't locate my cancellation paperwork, I was told I would have to pay AGAIN to end this. Essentially, I'm being asked to pay more money because the gym's staff failed to properly process my cancellation and resolve the issue, despite my repeated attempts to address it. If you plan on cancelling your membership here, I strongly recommend taking precautions: 1. Document everything. Photograph every document you sign and note the name or description of the employee assisting you. 2. Keep written records. Record the date and time of your cancellation, save all emails and messages, and insist on written confirmation before leaving. 3. Follow up in writing. Don't rely on verbal promises. Get confirmation that your membership has been cancelled and keep a copy. 4. Monitor your bank statements. Watch for charges after cancellation and contact your bank if you need to dispute them. After reading other reviews, I've noticed what appears to be a recurring pattern of complaints: 1. You're required to cancel in person, and staff promise to email you a copy of the paperwork. 2. You're told you must pay for an additional month. 3. When you're charged again, the gym claims it can't find your signed cancellation form or footage of you entering the building. 4. You call to ask what happened, and staff promise to investigate and call you back. 5. They either never call back or claim the membership has been cancelled and they'll discuss a refund with the manager. 6. No refund comes, the charges continue, and the cycle repeats. Six months. Multiple phone calls. Multiple promises. No resolution. The most frustrating part isn't just the money; it's the complete lack of accountability. I followed the cancellation procedure, repeatedly contacted staff when charges continued, and trusted their assurances that the issue had been resolved. Instead of taking responsibility, management blamed me for a problem I had been actively trying to resolve. Cancelling a gym membership should not be this difficult. Based on my experience, I strongly advise anyone considering this gym to think twice. If you already have a membership and plan to cancel, document absolutely everything and get written confirmation. Don't make the mistake of relying on their word alone.

He has completely transformed the way I think about heath and fitness, something I have been passionate about most of my life but something fundamental has always been missing for me that has made consistency extremely hard and nearly impossible. Finally, I am now holding the correct practices, mindset and building the correct momentum to drive me to this being a life long journey and not a passing event, summer or moment. It's been 16 weeks and I have lost 26lbs and counting. Thrilled to continue.

What really impressed me is how intentional they are about matching you with the right coach -- not just someone with credentials, but someone who fits your goals, your energy, and how you like to be coached. I didn't realize how much that would matter until now, but the difference is huge. Every session feels like it's actually building toward something, not just burning time. If you're feeling stuck in your fitness routine or you want something way more personalized than the usual gym setup, I highly recommend checking this place out. It's focused, professional, and honestly one of the best decisions I've made for my health in a long time.

I am posting this review because I was unable to find a working email address or effective channel…read moreto report a serious concern directly to Planet Fitness management. During a recent incident, a white woman with red hair wearing a long dress entered the women's locker room and was reportedly startled to encounter a man inside. Whatever one's views on locker room policies, it was clear that she was upset and seeking reassurance regarding her safety and privacy concerns. Rather than the situation being calmly addressed, it reportedly escalated. A Hispanic man covered in tattoos allegedly confronted the woman and told her to "suck his cock." The exchange became heated, front-desk staff appeared unable to effectively restore order or provide the woman with a sense of security, and the situation ultimately escalated to the point that police were called. What concerned me most was not simply the disagreement itself, but the apparent inability of staff to de-escalate the conflict and ensure that a member who felt frightened or vulnerable was supported. Regardless of anyone's position on policy issues, no customer should leave a gym feeling threatened, intimidated, or abandoned during a dispute. I would strongly encourage Planet Fitness corporate leadership to review this incident, reach out to the woman involved, and evaluate whether additional staff training, security procedures, and member-support protocols are needed. Members should have confidence that safety concerns will be taken seriously and handled professionally. I would also encourage Planet Fitness to consider offering at least some women-only facilities, women-only workout areas, or designated women-only locations among its many gyms. Providing additional options could help accommodate members with differing comfort levels and reduce the likelihood of similar conflicts in the future. I am posting this publicly because I could not locate a working email address or clear reporting channel to bring these concerns directly to company leadership. I hope Planet Fitness will provide more accessible ways for members and community members to report serious safety concerns and receive a meaningful response.

I've stayed with Planet Fitness for the last six month because I really like it! No gym is perfect, but here's my take on it. The Good: 1. The team that runs it is fabulous! They're a polite, helpful, positive group. 2. The facilities are clean and well taken care off. All the equipment looks new. I haven't seen a single piece of broken equipment. The team is constantly cleaning, and it shows. 3. It's a nice vibe. People always wipe down equipment after they're done. I didn't see that much when I was at 24 Hour Fitness or the Bay Club. 4. The dues are dirt cheap. $30 a month includes the Black Card amenities like massage beds. That said, here's the Bad: 1. No pool or sauna - That's fine for me, but if you like those then this gym isn't for you. 2. No group classes - Not my thing, so I didn't care. 3. No lounge - The place is optimized to get you in, get a workout, and leave. There's no area to socialize or get work done like the Bay Club has. I do miss that. 4. It's small - It's really, really small. Sometimes I do have to wait a couple of minutes for a stair climber (they only have four), and the area around the free weights is pretty packed most of the time. If you're ok with those four things, this is a great gym--nice people, new equipment, clean facilities, and a great price. I highly recommend.

The members and staff are incredibly welcoming and treat each other with love and respect. If you need a spot, help learning an exercise or just have questions about fitness in general, there is usually someone there with the knowledge and willingness to help. You will never have to wait for equipment like at a commercial gym. The gym is open 24/7. The equipment is constantly being updated and there are always new toys to play with. It is clear that the owners care about the gym and constantly invest in it. I've been in the powerlifting community for over a decade and can say with absolute certainty that if you're looking for a gym to join, I would absolutely 100% recommend this one!

Lemme just start by saying that if you're looking for a gym in the bay, steer clear. I checked this…read morespot out based on the reviews and some recs, but I legit had to do a double take because what I heard and what I saw were completely different. Equipment: If stuff isn't broken or bent, it just isn't there. I've seen gyms with half the space have more kilos and power bars available. Not to mention they have an entire area dedicated to machines that look like they only get used when the cleaners dust them off. I heard the owners have been promising more stuff, but nothing's come except a small ah set of plates. Facilities: Bathroom was straight up vile with a busted toilet seat. Floors are legit slimy, and I saw maybe two people tops wipe off their equipment. I asked some of the other members if the gym ever brings in a maintenance crew to clean the place down, but they told me the cleaning is done by like a family and kids LMAO Management: Day-to-day is run by this dude named Jostin (Justin?), but outside of my first visit I barely saw the man. Bro is either not at the gym or locked up in the back office. Only time I remember seeing him was when his doordash arrived. The other owners are barely in too, and I heard the main dude isn't even in state anymore??? Cost: Game time. Based on what I've said, guess how much they ask for a month. Two-fn-hundred without a contract, 150 for a 6 month. Place thinks is premium-premium but is giving vibes that make 24 look like Equinox. The members must love burning cash because they could do so much better for much less
