I did so immediately on 1/4/2026 since my email, and I have yet to receive any response. This lack of follow-up exacerbates the initial issue and indicates that the public response may have just been for appearances. My review: I'm a heavier thicker 166lb woman , I live in Texas so it gets VERY hot here. I wanted to make everyone aware of an incident that happened to me 1/2/2026 at planet fitness in Bastrop, Texas. I was minding my own business, working out with my friend when the manager went up to me in front of my friend and IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE GYM and told me that I needed to cover up or leave. I left the gym and bursted outcrying in my car. See what management did not know is that I was severely anorexic for a lot of my life, and I had barely gain weight and I was starting to feel more confident with my physique and wanted to be able to wear shorts and sports bras like everyone else. What they did to me not only embarrassing, but it was unethical! I want to emphasize that there was other members at the gym right at the same time I was there wearing the same type of outfits I was wearing. (Sports bra and shorts it was a hot day in Texas mid 80's) I personally feel like I was singled out because I'm thicker than the other thin members that were wearing the same outfits. I find this highly unethical and judgmental. Part of the reason why I went to planet fitness was to be a judgment free zone and not to feel body conscious about being bigger.

Doctor and PT laid it out for me: - being a "Legs" man is not good - I need to also work on my core and upper body. It is the reason for my back injuries which also lead to my knee injuries. My wife and I sign up for this new CrossFit gym in Bastrop that just opened up, CrossFit Strive. The impact is immediate. For those who don't know this style, I tell people it is like the Biggest Loser type workouts, but it really is more than that. The coaches are extremely motivational in a positive way. The group dynamic also pushes you, with everyone cheering you on. My fear is loss of form, because of my back injuries. The coaches constantly emphasize and teach proper form. The coaches come by and ask you to make corrections on each movement to make sure your form remains. The coaches also let me modify the workouts to fit my PT's request. This extremely flexible and all around workout is making a difference. In the past, returns to soccer from injuries started me at a lower level than where I left before the injury. This is my first flip where I am returning to soccer in a better position.

I believe there's also a workspace, a hairdresser, a school, sauna, cold plunge and a physical therapist. This place is absolutely amazing and has become a second home to my family. If they have an event, I'm planning my other things around it so that I can attend. The group of people that make up each part of the multitude of companies within Bastrop fitness project are such a unique and caring group of people. They are amazing and each one of them only want to make Bastrop better. Highly recommend any business within this building.

It's a constant building upon skills and different techniques. I'm already seeing my son learn different Abilities as well as learning how to respect and listen to his instructor. Besides regular classes this school offers after school care, where the children can do their homework and learn TKD! How great is that?! Also, ask about Woman's Self Defense classes, I know she offers those on occasion. Master O'Connor is patient and thorough, and teaches students courtesy, integrity, self control, perseverance and indomitable spirit in addition to Tae Kwon Do. Basically, to be the best person you can be. Dues are very reasonable in comparison to other schools and this school does NOT make you sign a contract, like some of the other martial arts schools in the area. This school deserves more than 5 stars, they have been a part of the community for many years and have served the community well. Its not too expensive, and definitely has a more authentic feel than taking TKD at your local YMCA or community center.
