Outstanding Physical Therapy Experience at Fitness Quest After undergoing meniscus surgery, I needed physical therapy but found that all of my surgeon's recommendations were too far away. Having little prior experience with PT, I wasn't sure what to look for. I'll admit, at first, I was underwhelmed by the photos of Fitness Quest--I expected to see lots of high-tech equipment. However, the convenient location made me give it a chance, and I'm so glad I did! I quickly learned that effective physical therapy isn't about fancy machines--it's about skilled, experienced therapists who know how to assess your condition and develop the right treatment plan. The team at Fitness Quest has just the right combination of expertise and 'bedside manner' to build confidence and help you understand how your body truly works (hint: not always the way you think!). In my case, I realized that my work-from-home lifestyle had contributed to muscle imbalances and weakness in key stabilizing muscles, despite feeling strong in other areas. Sherry, one of their incredible therapists, helped me better understand my leg mechanics, strengthen the muscles that needed it most, and drastically improve my range of motion and stability. The work was challenging, but I genuinely didn't think I'd get past the post-surgery pain--and yet, I HAVE! These people have made a huge difference to me. They are friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. On my first visit, I had to work to take 10-12 steps without sitting down and was hunched over with the pain. I could not do normal activities and was unable to attend most events normal in my life. They have worked with me in a consistently caring manner with lots of humor as well as professional tips. I am now upright and able to function in my life with the pain gone or under control. I can walk well and am back to attending my activities. The best thing is that that they have equipped me with an armful of exercises and measures should I suffer any relapse. I would also feel comfortable should I need to go to them again due to a relapse. I feel like I've gained a group of friends who can help me live the life I want to have. I have been going to Fitness Quest Physical Therapy in Ellenton since Covid began. Usually 3 times per week for an IT Band issue and low back issue. They have been wonderful. I have learned how to care for myself as well as know that if I need further care all I have to do is call. Such a friendly bunch of people. It has been my "escape" from home since Covid. I was in a bad accident where I broke my back and both my legs. At Fitness Quest, I regained my strength, balance, and endurance for my back and legs to be able to walk properly again. The positive encouragement and caring support from my therapist, Charlie, was a crucial part of my recovery. Each week, he would listen to my details of activities at home to adjust my exercises for improving my condition throughout my therapy process. Also, it was such a relief that the office staff took care of all my insurance questions and was able to schedule my appointments conveniently for me. I am very pleased with the attention and physical therapy I have been a part of. This is my third place to have experienced PT. Brian and Charlie have done a fantastic job building my muscle strength following A reverse shoulder replacement in 2017, and now in 2018 I had to have a restraint placed in the shoulder, as I had dislocated it three times. I rairily have to wait to start my exercises. Marina, The receptionist, is Always pleasant, andis very helpful in getting my appointments set up for the time I need. Great staff at this facility. I highly recommend them. I ruptured my Achilles and needed extensive PT to get my life moving towards normal again. I worked primarily with Charlie and Alana during my 3 months of PT. It was always clear how well educated they are. But, what sets them apart is their ability to combine education, pushing you to get better, setting you up for success along with just being good people and easy to talk to. I lucked out when I found this place. The therapists are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Recovery from Achilles tendon surgery is a long, sometimes painful process. They took me through the many phases of rehab. with care and encouragement. All of the staff have a great sense of humor making our sessions fun and productive. I believe I will miss my sessions and their company. I am close to full recovery and I don't think I could have progressed as well as I did without them. I found Fitness Quest to the the place I wanted to be for my rehab. All the staff is welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I was encouraged and challenged throughout my rehab, but never pushed to the impossible. In the age of Coronavirus, the staff followed strict CDC guidelines in keeping the shared equipment and rehab tables clean and sanitized. I never had to worry. Everyone was friendly and professional. They did their best to get me rehabbed from a broken left foot and at age 69, that's no easy "feet"...I never had to wait for my appointments.
