I pay almost…read more150 every month and have always enjoyed my interactions, both at my home studios and while traveling. I was in town for the holiday and was waitlisted for two classes. We decided to head out of town the day before these classes, and we'll over 12 hours before their scheduled start times, while I was still waitlisted, I cancelled. The next day, as I am two hours away from this particular orangetheory, I start receiving emails telling me I've been charged for the classes. I called to figure out what was going on; they weren't on my schedule. The front desk attendant took down my information and said that her manager would call me... they never did. I left a message. No one called me back. I finally spoke w someone again, who said I had to take it up with the app developer and she wouldn't be refunding my money. As someone who has spent literally thousands of dollars for this franchise, I'm am appalled by the lack of customer service or focus on retention. A simple, "I'm so sorry here's your twelve dollars back" would suffice, especially when I borrowed a heart rate monitor during my other visits there which was generating them more revenue. While I love orangetheory, the managers at this place need to figure out how to run a business.

Every time I walk in to Planet Fitness, I am greeted by several staff members. Employees are friendly and work hard to make everyone feel welcome. I love the wide variety of equipment and the fact that it is always clean and in working order. This place is huge and there are tons of machines, so you rarely ever have to wait for one. In addition, there are lots of TV's and motivating music to keep you entertained during your workout, as well as large fans to keep you cool. A basic membership is only $10 a month, which is super affordable compared to most gyms. I would highly recommend the Boardman Planet Fitness. After looking around more most of the lighting in the building doesn't even work and there were elderly members working out in darkness. I was only there for 10 minutes and requested a refund and to cancel my membership, which I was told a manager will contact me because the worker couldn't figure out how. How is the membership $70/month and what is that money even going towards?!
