Don't know why I've not reviewed this place yet, you'd think that after 150 check-ins it would have…read moreoccurred to me. So let me fix that right now. I'm an early morning gym person. I mean early. My prior gym closed and after 10 years of going there at 4:30 AM every morning, I was desperate to find another place that could accommodate my peculiar taste in workout time. I needed it to be close to home and was lucky that the Training Centre had opened less than a year prior. The owners here, Sharon and Michael, are the greatest people ever. Sharon was formerly the co-owner of my previous gym and is absolutely fantastic. She is super knowledgable and very committed to making sure everyone has a good experience. She recognized the need for us early morning people and opens at 5:00AM which still works for me. The place is spotless! So clean!!! The machines are all new, they're modern and well kept, and while the space is more limited than what I'm used to and the congestion is more a function of the equipment being close together rather than by tons of people, it works! There's pretty much a full complement of Matrix equipment and free weights as well as treadmills and elliipticals. Sure, there are some pieces of equipment I wish we're there but I understand and have adjusted. I don't avail myself of the TRX classes or any of the yoga, Pilates, or aerobics but note that the room in which there held is incredibly small and limiting making registering for any of the classes an absolute necessity. It's a great gym and it works for me! Stop by and see the crew tomorrow at 5:00AM! We'll be looking for you!!

No one ever contacted us for any additional information. I called multiple times, left messages. No one ever called me back. I spoke with a girl that was at the front desk the day of the party she took all my information for us to get there and nothing was set up and she was the only working that day. & they still made us pay full price. After promising us an extra hour of party time we did not get because the facility closes at 6 and the party was supposed to be 4-6. We originally asked for 1-3 they told us no because there was another party taking place, then we find out there was never a party from 1-3. The party planner never showed up, I talked to her on the phone and she was not empathetic to our situation at all. If it wasnt for the front desk girl Arianna there would have been no party for my daughter. If you like unprofessionalism and unorganized events have the party but for your own sanity DO NOT BOOK A PARTY AT NEW BRIGHTON YMCA!! ZEROOOOO STARS!!!!!

I watched him 'coach' an elderly woman, put her into the hack squat machine and played on his phone as other gym members rushed over to save her when she failed the lift and not the coach. I have never seen him wipe any equipment after use. The gym itself is expensive, about triple that of a pfit, but you get a dongle and can go off hours. Never pay for coaching, in fact avoid going during staffed hours unless you want hit with flying dumbells. Always wipe the equipment down BEFORE you use it. Bring your own scale, there is none.

The equipment is a little old, but if anything breaks just inform the staff and they'll get it fixed ASAP. They say that if there's anything they can do to make your workout better they'll do it, and they mean it. I even asked for a standing floor bag (gym was equipped with a hanging one) for my martial arts exercises and they got one! There are plenty of weights and a few weight and cardio machines, along with an open floor room that's available as long as a class isn't running. Staff cleans regularly, prices are reasonable, and it's open 24 hours with a key tag.

The gym has state of the art machines and equipment and is very very clean. The staff is very friendly too! I only wish I lived closer coz I'd go there for personal training in a heartbeat. I live in Butler, PA and its in Grove City which is a drive plus the gas etc. is so high!
