Hello. My experience with Fitness Connection has been superb. I've belonged to many gyms over my years. Fitness Connection has checked all the boxes and then some. Super clean facility! Wonderful enteritic, friendly and educated staff! I'm greeted by my name upon arrival. How refreshing after a long day at work! I use two of the locations which are Jones Road and Champion Forest! Hands down it's the best gym ever! It well deserving of much more than five stars rating. Check it out! You'll love it! You'll make new friends with staff and members alike. I'm so impressed with the professionalism, and I certainly don't feel embarrassed to ask question(s) when I'm not sure about a piece of equipment. I encourage anyone looking for a new gym to call home...check out Fitness Connections. Current member! My forever gym! read more

The music is out of control. It's so loud you have to yell to your workout partner. And wearing earphones like the Apple earbuds give you a warning saying your volume is too loud and can damage your hearing. The sound system sucks too so everything sounds mumbled. Only $10 a month. No hidden fees. I joined when there is no promotions but I saw currently the fitness connection is doing 10 bucks for sign up fee. I haven't been to the gym for the last 6 months. Finally I got my butt up to the gym today and I was so happy. My gym at the fitness connection was so nice and clean. Made me to appreciate to go again. I am from California where the dirty gym ( in shape https://www.inshape.com) was over price and dirty. I must spent 50 bucks a months plus annual fee and initiation fee was over $200. I am so thankful I found fitness connections. I love going to the Zumba class on Saturday and fun peaking out at the woman only cardio room for the movie. It's only 5 mins from my house but there are so many fitness connections in Texas!!!! read more

The Gym is fantastic. It is however the Elevate fitness coaching where I ran into EXTREME issues. I ended up in a year long contract for 1 session a week. After 4 months of payments not once did the trainers reach out to schedule my first session, even despite me reaching out they refused to schedule anything. Their support staff is piss poor as well, they take weeks to get back to you and refuse to even acknowledge offering a refund despite having all facts and receipts showing they are in the wrong. TO BE CLEAR I DIDN'T EVEN GET MY FIRST SESSION!!!!!!! This was a horrible experience and I hope and pray nobody else has to go through this. I am extremely disappointed and would tell everyone else to go to a cheaper trainer elsewhere or to use ChatGPT over what they call "business" when it is very clearly a scam. read more

Elevate Fitness Coaching BEWARE OF THEIR CONTRACT, RUN AWAY!! I started with Watauga Fitness connection in 2023 and seemed needing some personal fitness training. "Elevate Fitness Coaching" works in this location and I was directed to a guy called Matthew. He signed me up on the personal training and I attended 2 or 3 sessions and found it was not much useful and then told the Fitness connection staff that I do not want to continue and cancel my personal training. I thought that the cancellation was done, but not..... After 1.5 years, in April 2025, I got a call from Elevate Fitness Coaching saying that I owe some money towards their personal training contract. The caller said that I signed up for a 1-year contract. That is when I realize that the fitness training was offered by a 3rd party called Elevate Fitness Coaching. I told them to cancel the personal training account. At the time of sign up I was never told about the 3rd party contract and I thought the personal training was offered by Fitness Connection. I did not get any paperwork. Absolutely no transparency and total non-communication. Long story short, they sent me for collections for $1100 and collection agency started bothering me for the last few months now and I am trying to get out of collection attempts. Fitness connection washed their hands saying they cannot help, although they host this evil Elevate Fitness Coaching in their facility. Beware of Elevate Fitness Coaching and their paperwork NEVER SIGN UP FOR A CONTRACT with them. These sharks will trap you with contract and later squeeze your money by extortion sending to collections. I was trapped, hope this review will save someone else's pockets and credit history. Elevate Fitness Coaching function in the same building of Fitness connection Watauga like a parasite sucking your money. read more

I had membership at this location, but had to cancel because I no longer live in Texas. My husband called this location prior to our trip home and was told we would be given a 5 day pass--free of charge. We were excited to go workout, but when we got there, Juan at the front desk stated that the 5 day pass we received was to workout for one day but we would need to pay for the rest of the week. We asked to speak with the manager, he (Caleb) was with another client. Juan told us Caleb would be with us after assisting that client which was fine. We waited 30 minutes, but then waited another 30 minutes for him to finish whatever it was he was doing. We had to flag Juan down again to have him remind Caleb that we were still waiting. When Juan came back, he relayed a message from Caleb that we could workout for free that day but we would have to pay. Caleb did not have the courtesy to come out of his office until we told Juan that we were upset with this whole situation. When Caleb finally decided to come talk to us, there was no apology for making us wait or even a thank you for our patience. The upsetting part of all this is Caleb's lack of consideration for people's time and his representation of the club. We were told one thing over the phone but told another thing in person. This is not the club I remember. read more

I wish I had read about the experiences of cancelling a gym membership before signing up for this gym. I cancelled the gym membership and attempted to cancel the Elevate Fitness program with the gym trainer all on January 13th. The policy of paying another month before it actually cancels shouldn't be in place as I'm cancelling it and don't want it anymore the day I do it. However, my problem is not necessarily about this policy. So, you have to email Elevate Fitness to cancel your membership and while I wait for a response, they continue billing me every week until the final balance of today at $505. I've only attended one session and sent an email to cancel after this session, so I haven't attended any more since. Today is when I get a response from Elevate Fitness and damn well was bullshitting about an outage and a revamp because everything is exactly the same. They actually attempted to make me actually pay the $505 for their own fault or pay almost $1000 for a "fee to clear any outstanding balances". I've never signed a single agreement or statement from them, so I didn't have to pay a thing. The catch is, that the resolution resulted in them clearing all outstanding balances and I also went to another great gym that doesn't bullshit you for your time and money. What I can say is, despite the gym being very high quality, which I won't stain any credit I at least will give to the gym itself, I'd advise to never come here unless you don't mind manipulative staff waiting to squeeze any money they can. read more

This gym really deserves a 5 star rating but there are a few things that really would need to change for that to be the case The main issue the HOURS! They close at 7pm Sat/Sun and 8pm on Friday :( As someone who works out on the weekends and schedule usually only allows for nights it really sucks to not be able to get my workout in and throws off my consistency big time. Second thing is the cardio/dance room stays locked when classes are not in session which is really unfortunate because at my old gym that's where I would go to do my stretching (that doesn't feel comfortable to do around masses of people). I also wish they had more yoga class times available and I wish it was less crowded but they are not deal breakers for me because it's $10 a month and I think considering the value I'll take that loss. The positives are it's a great selection of workout equipment. During peak hours you do have to wait to get popular machines like the leg press or row machine etc. Also all the common dumbbells and barbells will likely be taken so you have to wait for your turn. But the selection is quite good! Again for $10 a month. They have a sauna! Love having a sauna. They also have a small workout area just for women which is great. They have a cardio room with bikes, treadmills, and ellipticals with a big movie screen so you can just focus on that and I love that too! The staff will always greet you hello and goodbye and that feels nice. It's nowhere near the level of personal I got with the staff at my smaller gym in california but a smiling hello/goodbye is enough to keep me feeling appreciated as a customer. Cleanliness is great imo. There is always cleaning staff around and if you mention anything they will take care of it asap. They really do care. There are only a couple broken or stiff machines that could use some attention but not too many. Overall with the price being $10 a month I am thoroughly satisfied with my money being well spent. My main concern is the hours I just really hope that changes because it has me considering switching gyms just so I can be consistent! read more

Great gym with plenty of equipment But the manager of the gym Anique is great. I asked to watch the Rangers game from the treadmills and as difficult as it was she got it done with a smile. It's rare to have gym managers who truly care for their patrons but she does. I highly recommend. read more

Put the hours back. This place closes way too early every day of the week, especially fri-sun. If you're an evening lifter don't even bother, it's either too packed to get anything done since they absorbed tx family fitness, or they close too early for the crowd to thin. There's not enough clips for all the barbells, half the power racks are too narrow and knock the plates when you unrack, and there's only one free motion cable machine. The clocks haven't worked in years and most of the water fountains don't work. Literally the only good thing about this gym is the price, but even as cheap as it is it's too much money for too little value. Complete ass read more

When I signed up at this facility, I signed up to use the available exercise classes such as spin, yoga, and senior fit. Since my time as a member of this facility, the classes have become no longer available, but my membership fees continue to increase. My initial monthly membership fee was $10, that was in 2021 It is now up to $18. Still no Senior fit , spin or yoga exercises classes are being offered. I come in and use the exercise equipment since I had signed the FC contract, and I had been informed numerous times by FC staff and surveys that senior fit exercises, yoga classes Will be brought back as soon as an instructor has been found. It has been four years now, no classes, but membership fees continue to increase. Without notice to me , until billed. Although I do receive Fit Connection survey notifications. I was also informed that in order for me to get the current $15 a month membership fee I would need to change my credit card from the type of credit card that I initially used at my first sign up on the FC contract in 2021. I am disappointed and I feel misled by this organization, I cannot and will not refer anyone to this facility or organization. Watauga read more

Overall, my experience with the particular gym was not awful. The biggest downside for the location was that the amenities were not always functional, the gym equipment inside the women's workout area seemed to always be missing, the parking situation is obnoxious, classes that I actually can make it to always seem to be cancelled, and cardio machines have seen better days. As for my rating I give the company Fitness Connection a 1 star since zero isn't an option. Before signing up I read a lot of reviews that discounted the gym and that should have been a red flag to me. I made a poor choice in signing up for the gym and not heeding the warnings. I called to cancel today as I had been waiting for my 12-month commitment to expire, and I noticed the annual fee come out of my checking account. So, I called and after a lovely 20 min wait time, I had the pleasure with speaking with Josh Ybarra. I asked him to cancel my membership and requested a refund on the yearly fee as I would not be a member anymore. Without missing a heartbeat, he let me know he could cancel my membership but that I was not getting any of my money back because the membership was in effect at the time of the charge. I argued back stating an annual membership fee implies I would be there annually and that it should at least be prorated. He denied this request and when I asked to speak with someone who could actually be of help, he suggested I call back so I could be told no by another person. Now I know being a call center customer service rep can be hard because I have done this myself, but this guy was just useless. What this tells me is that FC has been doing this for some time, and they can and will do anything to get a penny. I would not suggest this company. Pay the extra 15/dollars a month and go down the road to one of the other available gyms. read more

So facility is good, snd so is the equipment. It is kept pretty clean, but I do not like the new manager. He interrupted our workout to pitch his classes, and did not listen when told that we were not interested. Instead, he was a smart ass, and that just pissed us off. Don't like a smart ass, that you don't even know. Locked in for a year, or we would look for another gym. read more

I'm going to start with what I don't like first, just to get it out of the way. I wish the gym was 24 hours, like what was promised would happen three or four months after it opened (that was back in November). But, I guess it is what it is. Also, I'm not a fan of their billing company. Anytime there is an issue, it takes FOREVER to correct it, and it's kind of a hassle to deal with their customer service (the billing company, not the gym). Now, that's out of the way. All in all, it's a great gym. Good variety of equipment, and lots of it, so there's not a lot of having to wait around for someone to get done with their set, take their selfie, and post on social media before you can use a machine. Everything is ALWAYS super clean, which is great. The sweet lady that cleans all the machines is a hard worker, and she does a fantastic job. I guess my biggest issue with the layout is the dumbbell area. It's a little cramped, but it's something that can be worked around when necessary. Also, I wish they had a hex bar and a safety squat bar in the squat areas, but what they have is efficient. The cardio equipment is plentiful, and again always clean. There are a multitude of machines, so you can always get your sweat on pretty much anytime. The lockers rooms are huge, too. Again, always clean. You do need to bring your own lock for them, but I prefer that. Lots of showers, and private changing areas, if you're shy. The staff is always friendly, and greet you with a "hello" and "have a good workout." They call me by name since I'm in there all the time. I really don't know anything about the trainers as I've never used my consultation, so I'm no help in that department. I've never taken a class, either, but I do know they come with the membership. Kids club does as well, but my boys are too old for it. If you're looking for a good, clean gym for a good price, this is it. For the price point, you really can't beat it. read more

Well, it is 12/19/22 and I haven't heard form anyone at this gym regarding the buyout of memberships from Texas Family Fitness in North Fort Worth that closed 12/15/22. TFF decided to close that location and sell their membership to anyone they could peddle them too which was FC. Who does that? And how low is that to do so without the member's consent. So what is the game plan? No one can tell me. No one can talk about cancellations. No one can say at FC what a TCC membership is equal too. Do they really not see the issue here? With FC, one would think that an email blast would be warranted to at least say welcome, here is what your membership is equal to and here is how to cancel. Instead all I get is how sorry they are. Let's be candid. FC is NOT sorry. This was just a business transaction between FC and TFF with zero regard for members---You know those folks that keep your business running and without you would not have a business? Keep in mind that forcing people into your business is never a wise thing to do. I looked at FC before joining TFF. It was further from my home and it just didn't meet my needs. What makes this even worse if I HAD cancelled and TFF continued and continues to charge me. This does not bode well with me. Cancelling should be easy. You allow folks to join ONLINE but you dont' allow someone to cancel online? There isn't even a place I can go to update my billing info, per them. Who does that in 2022??!! NEVER again will I get involved with any company that does business like this. This is some old school back in the day nonsense. read more

The most ridiculous, cumbersome cancelation policy possible. Phone calls, emails and in-person cancellation not allowed. Mail a letter. No... not that letter... you didn't include the magic phrase... so it didn't count... you're welcome to try again while we continue to charge you. This is the worst business model and customer service possible. There are plenty of other clubs to choose from. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more

Customer service is extremely sub- par. Front desk isn't the friendliest. It's pretty much always packed and the hours of operation absolutely suck. Emphasis on the PACKED!!! It feels claustrophobic at the peak hours. Every other review you'll see about calling and never reaching anyone or jumping hoops to cancel your membership is also very true. I previously had a membership and cancelled due to everything I've said above. read more

Updating my review! I love this place however it's way packed at normal gym hours (which is good for business) not so much when you have to wait in line for a machine or to use the weights. Also the hours kind of suck we have to change gyms and start going to planet fitness (which isn't that great) but the hours are 24 hours and we have to go at 4 now because our schedules changed. We do go here in the weekend bright and early before the crowds start to arrive. read more

I love this gym. The perks the equipment and the price is all worth it. What I don't appreciate is the workers going around making small talk while I'm in the middle of my workout. This is the 2nd time I've been interrupted during my cardio session on the treadmill. It's not a simple "hey hope you're doing okay." It's a worker making it a point to stop in front of my treadmill, ask me how long I've been working out here at the gym and making small talk. I appreciate it if they were checking up on us to make sure that the machines were working okay. But please don't interrupt my session. Not sure if this is a regular thing or if anyone else has dealt with this but I would like to keep it from happening a 3rd time. Not everyone is the same, but I prefer to not be interrupted during my workout. read more

Does the job, but filled with typical big-gym financial tricks. You have probably seen the billboards with the $10 a month offer. Its true if you select that option, but there are two twists they do not tell you about: - There is still a $100+ opening account fee - Unless you pick the $22 a month package, You will be charged $30ish every 6 months under the $10 a month package. The cherry on top is the cancellation process that requires you to mail a letter to corporate to cancel your membership. They hand you a small piece of paper with instructions to cancel and where to mail the letter. Pretty easy to forget about this. ALSO they will charge your card one more time AFTER they get your letter as part of the "30 day notice agreement." Save yourself some trouble and go to a smaller gym or a warehouse gym. You will get results faster and be pushed harder. And you can cancel your memberships with a call. Quads gym down the road has been excellent. $35 a month with no gimmicks. read more

I have became a member here after switching from LA Fitness down the street. It only took one visit to convince me to switch gyms. The facility is clean and massive. Enough machines to go around even at peak times. It's a new location so all of the equipment is pristine. Huge locker rooms with private dressing rooms, secluded shower stalls, and a separate very large toilet area, as well as a dry sauna and digital scale. You have to open a door to get from the toilets to the sinks to wash your hands and not everyone is washing their hands from what my eyeballs have witnessed. That door may be the dirtiest in the building for that reason. However I always see a janitor making sure everything is clean and presentable. Trashcans are never over flowing and there are never stray paper towels littering the floor. The women's area is a major plus. The theater is dark and I enjoy working out in there, but my knees certainly wish they would throw in a few ellipticals. Right now there are stair masters, treadmills, and bikes. And the theater seems to prefer to show Adam Sandler movies on heavy rotation for some reason. read more

I really enjoy this gym. It has so much equipment and is pretty big. It has something for everyone including a bball court and woman's workout area. Even though I am not likely to die or get serious symptoms I know I can spread it to other people if I got it and spread it without knowing. The only draw back about the gym is all the teens and very young adult. It is very busy. Even now during COVID-19. Yes, I get it the gym is cheap but these kids like to hang out in clicks at the gym and take up so much room!
