They charged it right away after my 1st session. The requirement to put your card on file to "book your free sessions" was a red flag right away. 2. They said it would be $160 a month for unlimited work out sessions but I would get the 2nd month for free and there are no hidden fees. It actually ended up being $170. They said I had to sign the paper work right away to get this deal. 3. They require you purchase a heart monitor to take their classes. I thought that the heart monitor was just part of the class because the membership itself is expensive. No. They require you buy it. And it's $140. Or you can set up a payment plan and it's an extra $40 a month. This was not mentioned to me at all. The additional fees just keep building. I was going to cancel but I feel like I can't even use up my time left there because I'm not going to go buy a heart monitor or sign up for a monthly fee to pay for said heart monitor. Besides these factors, the coaches are wonderful. You work in small groups and they work hands on with you. It's a clean, friendly environment. Additionally, I love the idea of a heart monitor but charging $140 for one just to take the class truly is a hidden fee. When I asked gym staff how much it cost you could tell that she was hesitant to tell me the cost! Coaches are amazing- Gym staff seems to actually be full of sales representatives.

From my personal experiences, there is something for everyone here. If you go enough (easy to do, hard to miss) it is well worth the monthly fee. I haven't ran since I was 20. Now I run 3-4 times a week a couple of miles here. Clean facility, mix of ages and genders, pretty cool.

I have done all the clubs and gyms. They are all good in their own ways but I've never loved them…read more I LOVE MGFXB. I have been with Farrells for 4.5 years - here's why... I felt welcomed into the group. There was good energy and I could feel the passion and intensity of the group. I saw diversity I hadn't really seen before - people 20 years younger and 20 years older than me all kicking ass on the bags and lifting heavy weight.‍ I love the enthusiasm for the program. Workouts are ever changing and building - they grow me in ways I haven't encountered before. I never get bored. I am always sore - knowing my muscles are being fully worked. I'd rather be sore from working my body than sore from not. And, I've never been fitter or stronger. I love the competition. After completing the 10 week program you become a FIT member which is even more fun. You now have the option to challenge yourself above and beyond the program - challenges are gamified with partners or teams for cash prizes. And now, Dale and Chanell have brought even more to enhance our experience - Advanced Kickboxing / MMA style, Yoga Sculpt, HIIT Kettlebell workouts and soon a Barbell Club ‍ We often do fun outings for bonding events as well and that has been very fun. I love that I am surrounded by friends with a variety of goals too - whether that's gaining muscle, losing fat, toning up, gaining more flexibility, training for marathons, or healing from all that life throws us. I love that I see all bodies and ages working hard to live a healthier life. I love that for 45 minutes I can focus on getting stronger and releasing stress. And, it has been a great space to meet some really good friends in and outside the gym.

St Louis Park Fit Body Boot Camp - 6 Week Challenge Results

This review is based on a one week free pass where I attended three different classes. I will say…read morethe instructors go out of their way to be super friendly and learn your name right away. Then while you were working out they will say things like "nice job Corey!" Also the other people attending class were very peppy and :-). The classes are 30 minutes which I didn't think was long enough. Part of the way they saved time was having you warm up while they showed you how to do the moves. That was way too much for my brain to handle, trying to learn 10 exercises while doing leg lifts. It was typically some sort of circuit format. One day it was do 10 reps of all 10 exercises the first time, eight reps the second time around and so on. Another day the exercise was timed for 40 seconds. Some of the exercises were very basic, do a Burpee, but others were more complicated and it was hard to remember exactly how to do. I will say, every time I asked for help, they were right over there. But this was a noon class with eight students, I can imagine it would be more difficult to get individual attention with 25 students. Also I noticed some of the people were doing the exercise wrong and they weren't being corrected. I was told they won't correct you if you're doing the exercise wrong but it still getting you a good exercise. This place seems to be targeted to people who are not in very good shape vs people who are already in shape. There are plenty of before and after pictures on the wall to attest to this. They do a before and after picture for their 21 day challenge. But I must say some of my friends who are going here (who are in shape) enjoy it very much. I went to another place where they had videos of the exercises and it was nice to be able to look up and see how to do the exercise. This place is $167 a month. You can try it out free for three days, they had a special try it out for a week for free, they also have $100 off your first month promo right now.

Additionally, there is always a 3-free day trial which I will take advantage of when time permits. The format is a group fitness class where everyone does a warm up together, the teacher demos each station, the stations happen and then a group finisher with light stretching closes the format out. Blaine's Burn Boot Camp is located within a small strip mall making parking easy. In addition, there is child care onsite for members which personally, I think is a huge draw. For a newbie, there were plenty of sales pitches and call outs during class advertising my first one. Make sure to check out the website as there's a few locations in the Twin Cities including Woodbury. I know that in today's world, media is king. It was fun (and also a tad bit intimidating) to have all the social media videos going around when you're just trying to get your bearings but it is what it is! I will always be a fan of the post workout photo vs action shots. In terms of the workout, it's all stationary based rotating via different movements two times on a floating floor (which is a floor with a slight bounce similar to a gymnastics floor) making it easier on the joints. The format is very cardio driven with lots of opportunities to modify. Some movements included toe tap floor bounces, jump ropes, squats and I enjoyed that it was only 45-minutes. The environment is very welcoming and teamwork driven. There were tons of high fives, check-points and claps throughout. Sending gratitude for Burn Boot! Thank you for welcoming me so warmly and allowing me to try something new.
