They do not handle service related issues with any sort of tact. I wish you luck in dealing with them if you have any issues.

Stephanie Fowler Shaklee will gladly share with you her weight struggles in the past and how she has shifted her mentality and approach to fitness as a result! She even has a blog you can follow if interested (iamcoachfowler.com). The gym provides regular bootcamps, 6 days a week, that last about 45 minutes. Their program is designed to use body weight exercises, explosive cardio, and metabolic resistance training to help enhance your fitness. You're guaranteed to leave there with a good arse-kicking! You can sign up for the classes individually or enroll in a monthly membership. Since I don't live in Oklahoma, I just pay the drop-in fee of $10 each time and it's totally worth it! All you need to bring with you is a set of weights (most folks start with 5lbs), your water bottle, and a towel to wipe off if you "glisten" like I do! :) If you're interested in joining a gym where you actually feel like family, this is the one. I promise you'll want to come back after your first visit for the bootcamp and the folks who will make you feel like you're a team on this fitness journey!

It was a tough class but you could modify everything we did. I had to do less pushups then we were supposed to do. Not a big deal. Everyone in the class was very nice and I really enjoyed it. If you don't want to do a class, they have all the equipment of other gyms. They also offer childcare. I highly recommend this gym if you are looking for a great place to get in top shape.

Then the free weight/machine areas are divided into an upper body area and a lower body area. There's a studio area for fitness classes and an open area in the back for their boot camp classes. The staff is friendly and they offer a good selection of post-workout smoothies. My only complaint was some of the clients throwing and dropping their weights, like they were working out with Arnold. I've never been a fan of those "gym" people that insist everyone see how loud and intense they are. I don't care- and I'd like to see the staff admonish anyone who slams and drops their weights. You're tearing up the floor and the equipment and you're annoying me. They have a great app, and they are on MindBody as well. Prices are reasonable and they offer a groupon for their boot camp classes...and they offer one for beginners as well, which is great for anyone starting a fitness program. The restrooms are nice, clean and offer showers and lockers.

I've been training for a new job, have failed at the fitness exam twice thus far and was recommended to The Edge by those I am applying with. I was skeptical, I already have a gym, a structured work out and have even hired a personal trainer. BUT as I have come to find out over the past few months, Denny is NOT a personal trainer. He's a coach, a cheer leader (he'll appreciate that) a friend. He pushes you harder and farther than you've think you have in you. His history with college sports (and country music) is what makes him the perfect addition to your workout regimen. His exercises and drills are based off of the science of physiology. His encouragement and coaching ability are built on years of experience and an overall awesome, personable demeanor. His coaches, Brooke, Griffin, Brandi, are awesome!!! They've only complimented the experience I have already had with him. He will get you to where you WANT to be in terms of health, strength and in a roundabout way mental security. It's quite the stress relief when you workout with him. Come on out and try the various programs he has! You will NOT regret a second of it!

I recently transferred to the Yukon location due to proximity to my home. I was gladly commuting to the Edmond location, 30+ minutes, prior to the Yukon location's opening. I have learned & grown so much as an athlete, Mom, Spouse & now Grandparent since joining Prevail. I came to Prevail in search of strength training and an alternative to previous boot camp style training that was causing me pain. I started with the ability to only deadlift 25-30 lbs due to pain. Now I move pain free and can deadlift 225 lbs!! Pain free lifting and strength that carries to my everyday life is priceless! I am forever grateful for what Sean & Dani have built at Prevail. I can remember the WOD like it was yesterday, we had Wall Ball Shots and box jumps. It is safe to say that I almost passed out. Fast forward I have been with KODA DC about 3 months now and I have lost 20lbs already. The coaches are absolutely amazing and give you several scaled options if you can't complete a movement. The best thing about KODA is the other athletes. Everyone at KODA is helpful and encouraging, the camaraderie is unmatched. Bottom line is, if you want to shred lbs and throw some weight around and compete then come to KODA, you won't regret it.

I thought I would walk in to a place that sold yoga pants and pushed ideology like "Get your Pilates Body!!!" and "this one's a good cellulite killer". But to my complete shock, this was mainly all about movement education. Now, let me clear about that: It can be a VERY hard workout. It can also be about prepping your muscles and unwinding stupid patterns I've gotten myself into so that I can do what used to come easily for me. Let me give you my best example out of MANY: I started having MAJOR lower back pain. Out of the blue. It went on for several weeks. And so I went in and told my instructor and she did a deliberately slow and thoughtful analysis of my movement, when things irritated me, when movement soothed me. And she finally said, "There's basically nothing wrong with your back. But your hips are SUPER tight." And I was like, "What's that got to do with my back?" (I didn't vocalize this) And so she gave me a bunch homework and movement I was required to do at home. Let me pause here to say, I'm a 32 year old dude, with no injuries or weight problems or limitations in my mobility. IF you saw me, you would think I was healthy and in shape. Now, after a week of this homework for my hips, my back started to feel less strain. Then after two to three weeks, I only felt the pain in the mornings. Then after a month, it was completely gone. Then I stopped doing the homework . . . and guess what . . . it all came back. So, take that for what it's worth. I've lost 10 lbs and I'm also constantly realizing how much more fluidly I live my life. Bending down to pick up a shoe used to be a stretch for me. Not anymore. Neck and shoulder pain plagued me in my early 20's when I sat at a computer desk all day. That's been gone for over a year now. I feel younger and more agile than I did 10 years ago. And I can see it in other people that they are not taking any time to maintain and repattern their movements as they get into their 30's --- so I expect to see a lot of my friends getting surgery when they honestly just need to be moving with the gifted instructors at this studio.
