The owner, Dan Owens, instructs these classes often and will absolutely crush your upper and lower body in the best possible way. He is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to making sure every person in the room knows what to do and helps with form if necessary and welcomed. Another great perk is access to the locker rooms and saunas. I feel the entire facility is kept clean and organized. I love the big windows everywhere which allow for a ton of natural light to come inside. I also enjoy using the indoor/outdoor green space on the bottom floor which has a garage door that can open and close depending on the weather. Very nice during Spring, Summer and early Fall. I never feel like I have to wait for equipment to free up, and they do offer complimentary towels at the front desk upon check-in. This athletic club is on ClassPass and I typically just purchase gym time using a couple credits or I sign up for the circuit or conditioning classes.

This is the solution if you're looking to add lean muscle mass, enjoy getting to know other gym members and like the daily involvement of a knowledgeable, fun, and dedicated owner. And for women who are intimidated by lifting and strength training, this is your breakthrough solution because many of the women members are seasoned competitive lifters of all ages. To be clear, you're not going to find a room full of cardio machines or a schedule of yoga classes. Roswell Barbell is focused on building strength and has all the equipment you need to accomplish this goal. Despite its small size, there's plenty of equipment to use. I've been going for six months, starting as a white collar novice lifter who had never used a barbell in his life and didn't understand how chalk was used. The team here has supported my training, taught me the skills, and made it fun, healthy, and respectful. Now, I spend 3-4 days a week lifting heavy things, challenging my body to get stronger, and learning from some of the best athletes. I leave chalky and exhausted, and motivated to come back again. Strength training is one component of health and gyms like Roswell Barbell are exactly what people need, not the terrible big box gyms full of corporate salespeople and terribly unhealthy messaging.

My wife and I have been loyal members of LA Fitness for over 15 years in Louisville, KY. After recently moving to Atlanta, we attempted to access this club using our SilverSneakers membership, which clearly provides access to all LA Fitness locations--including this one. Yet, for reasons no one seems capable of explaining, we have been denied access due to what staff repeatedly describe as a "computer glitch." What's truly unacceptable is how this situation has been handled. Instead of taking responsibility, the club manager actually suggested that WE should call corporate tech support ourselves to resolve the issue. That is astonishing. Isn't that part of his job? Only after pushing back did he reluctantly agree to "do us a favor" and contact them himself. Eight days later, we are still without access. Every single morning, we have made the effort to go to the club, only to hear the same rehearsed response: "They still haven't called me back." No updates. No escalation. No accountability. Are we really expected to believe that a manager cannot contact a supervisor or escalate a basic membership issue over the course of more than a week? At 73 and 68 years old, respectively, it is not easy for us to make these repeated trips, only to be dismissed day after day. This is not just poor customer service--it is a textbook example of negligence and severe mismanagement. The complete lack of urgency and care is deeply disappointing. We have earned our access to these facilities over many years, and being treated as an afterthought--especially as seniors--is unacceptable. This experience has left us feeling ignored, disrespected, and completely let down by a company we trusted for over a decade. Do better.

Im not interested in anything free if the end goal is to get more money from me by "upgrading my membership." Also, what part of "social anxiety" do you not understand? When I signed up I was adamant about how I was not interested in that, but you followed up with me about it regardless. On top of that, when I finally decided to cancel this god forsaken membership the grunt who was working, Troy, could not give a flying fuck about me. I lost my job recently and I hardly had enough to afford this months membership charge THAT CAME OUT THAT MORNING but still I had to pay the next month to cancel. Troy made sure to take as much time as he needed to cancel me, and had no interest even being present with me or any other customers during the 10 minute "interaction". He saw I was upset with this joke of a company and made it worse by getting distracted and thankfully keeping me there long enough to write this review. Thanks to him I can no longer afford groceries this week! Fuck Troy. Fuck Crunch. Just do push ups instead. If I could give you less than 1 star I would.

There are also classes focused on strength training and cardio. I started small and was encouraged by another gym goer, Stephanie, to come with her to a few. Now, in addition to training, I attend step, boot camp, boxing, glute camp and even trampoline! I am grateful to her and countless others for their encouragement. The location is very convenient for me (eliminating excuses) and they have everything on hand from towels and showers to 360 body scans. I lost my way for a few years even though I knew what to do (certified personal trainer, past figure bodybuilder).
