I hadn't done any form of exercise in years and was in BAD shape. I was nervous to even go in let alone actually work out. That first class was with Coach Daniel and there was only 1 other guy there. It was an incredibly challenging workout... I almost puked. But Daniel was cool to me and made me feel welcome and I've always liked boxing as a sport so I signed up. As I continued to show up, I got to know all the coaches and some of the members and I started to feel a sense of community there. That was important to hold me accountable and keep me from quitting. Years later, I've fought in one of their Member Fight Nights, I look, feel, and carry myself completely different, and I'm still showing up. The whole team there is great, but extra shoutout to coach bam who has been my trainer for the past year and has helped me so much. In summary, this is a great well-maintained gym with beautiful equipment, accommodating class schedules, and knowledgeable coaching. But what stands out is how welcoming/approachable it is for people of all fitness levels, and the awesome community they've built!

From the start, the trainer (I believe her name was Christina) made me feel uneasy as it being my first time to a new studio in the area. During the class, I felt left out and singled out at the same time. I was met with snarky remarks about my stamina and how much I need to improve on what I have been doing thus far on my wellness journey. I left the class feeling unmotivated and quite insecure. To my women looking for a female trainer, maybe there is somebody else more suitable to encourage health and wellness both physically and mentally.
