I am 78 years old, have been attending her classes 2-3 X/week for about 8 months, and I feel better physically, am able to do things I wasn't able to do before due to increased strength and endurance. I also feel better mentally because I feel better about myself as a result. She is a wonderful trainer who truly cares about us and makes it fun at the same time. Thank you, Jacky! My second time with the trainer he had me do thirty squats. I had difficulty walking out I was in so much pain. I called to cancel and was told I had to go in when the person was there that signed me up. I now know it was part of the runaround to prolong things. I could go in the following day by 9a.m. or M-W by noon. I was there Monday morning at 8:30. I was then told I needed a doctor's note. When I went in with the note it was faxed to corporate, I disputed the charge with my credit card company. YOUFIT said it was nonrefundable. I was not told that when I signed up. You can't speak to anyone at corporate. When I called the local gym this morning, I was told my dispute was after the billing date. Well, of course it was due to the run around I was given. I would never recommend this place to anyone. My next step will either an attorney or the local news.

A review to this school because it brought me so much nostalgia!! (The Otrantos)…read moreMy kids went to this YMCA exactly 21 & 19 yrs ago. It's still the old building, and they went from 2 all the way to Pre-K and moved to Kindergarten w no issues. And they BOTH could read and do math appropriate for their age in kindergarten, all because this school truly teaches kids. So yes, the YMCA wasn't just for show, they actually worked with their young students, and the loving and caring from EVERY SINGLE TEACHER AND 2 Directors at the time? PRICELESS! They're amazing! We've moved out of Fla 12 yrs ago, when they're on 5th and 2nd grade, and we've heard there's a brand new YMCA school building, and we're happy to hear they continue to provide amazing care and great Teachers still. Lucky are the parents that are able to still send their kids there! And we noticed on a bunch of reviews that the pre-school remains the same: great learning curriculum, caring and knowledgeable Teachers (my son is Asperger and ADHD) and they knew, they worked w him appropriately, and per our request, NEVER treated him like he's different from other kids. He didn't even know he's Autistic until we told him around his 10th BDay. THAT is how great the Teachers and school staff treated him. It's important to us that he's in a normal environment and didn't get special treatment. He never did. And he did amazing there, and so did our younger daughter. I remember their prices were the same as the other "truly crappy" Pre Schools in the area. Now, at the time they offered a discount if you had a Family Membership of YMCA, which we had it (and used extensively all they offered) plus by having 2 kids going? We got a little extra discount. (We're not sure if those discounts still exists, since now Govt. pays 1/2 day for pre school? At the time we didn't have that help from the Govt.) plus at the time, swimming lessons were included if they're 2 yrs. plus and those were so important living near beaches, and having a pool. (According to other reviewers, yes, they still include swimming lessons) They also used to include on tuition, ballet dance classes for our 2 yr girl, and it's was also a huge PLUS. She went on to dance her whole young life, and graduated on dancing at 18 from a top ballet pre professional School, and was invited to professionally dance in top Ballet Schools & Theaters in NY and all over the country.. and it all started at the YMCA!! So yes, even after all this time? Reading others here brought great memories.. because my grown kids? They now REMEMBER how great and fun the school was for them.. lots of good, fun childhood memories from the Y!! I can tell you by experience, and it's something I learned from their Pediatrics at the time: "Mom, you'll KNOW your kid were happy and had fun while learning, when you pick them up. If they're smiling, tired but happy to see you (no tears!!) and dirty?? It means they TRULY had a great day in pre-school". LOL He's so right! This YMCA pre-school was, IS amazing and I would resend my "kids" again if I could.. lol.. plus if I lived there still? One day My grandchildren would eventually go to this same amazing, fun school. Good to know their Loving and caring staff hasn't changed in over 21+ yrs. I hope more people will value how great and special this school is. They're humble, but they're amazing!! They didn't treat anyone different; there were no snobs, no kid was treated better than others, and they loved our kids like their own. That's what mattered as working parents for us. We'd give 10 stars if we could!

They will be there until I got off work and actually they didn't even wanna leave because they had so much fun they helping with their homework and by the time I picked them up they were so tired that they just got home. Pleasantly surprised!! I put off trying this place for a long time because of the bad reviews but…read morethose reviews are garbage. My wife and I tried them out yesterday, Sunday around 2pm. Late at the front desk was happy and fun. The gym is full of good pieces for every body part, the lighting is dimmed so It keeps you in the zone, the decor is crazy but it gives you something to look at all the time. Dumbbells go to 125lbs which is decent. Clean, clean, clean. The bathrooms are great AND smell great, these are the first public restrooms I have been to that actual smelled nice. Cold plunge and sauna area seemed clean, we just peeked in for a look. I was almost hesitate to write this since it's not a busy place and wouldn't want it to get busy The $150 per month membership is great since it keeps the kids and riff raff out. WE LOVED IT and making it our new gym home.

The girl said it was all set and would be taken care of 6 weeks later i get collection calls from the Staff and Mgt at the gym telling me i owed a month of membership and late fees and that my account was not frozen anymore. Mind you i never checked in the gym because my arm is still in a sling and i haven't even started physical therapy as of yet. The mgr explained to me that my account was only frozen for 30 days and it was responsible to pay. I argued with her that i told the girl at the front desk that i needed it frozen until i was fit enough to come back which i assumed they would just start billing me once i came back. She told me that is not how the freeze works and that i should have told them how long i wanted it frozen for (which i didn't even know the recovery timeline at that point). I told her i would be happy to get them a doctors note from my surgeon if thats what they need and also to see my check in history that i have not been back to the gym one time since i froze my account. I asked her to refreeze my account and she informed me i would have to pay over $130 in dues and fees for time that i was under the impression was frozen and i had not used their facilities. She refused to bend on her policy's or waive my fees and refreeze my account due to her staff not properly explaining their freeze policy when i froze it in the first place. I think this kind of Customer service is exactly why they have 2.5 star rating on Yelp already. I will not be returning as a member unless they make this right with me Period. Its a terrible way to treat your injured loyal members and Lose their business and membership in the future.

Just a heads up, I am a CrossFitter of 4 years at this point, instructor for over 2 and travel…read morequite a bit. This is about the 25th CrossFit box I have worked out in around the world. Head Trainer has lost over 150 pounds so he can work with everybody of every shape!! The ONLY CrossFit box I've worked out in Florida that is enclosed and has air conditioning, talk about a NICE surprise!!! These guys also believe in going heavy with Kettlebells, RX for men/women here is 70lbs and 55 lbs. He has about 12qty 70 pounders so you get the feeling you should be working with these. I don't mind since our box has 40 & 44kg ones so I am used to even heavier BUT we only have one of each of those big boys. We started with a simple dynamic warmup and stretching then followed it by a strength progression of increasing weight of hang cleans and push jerks with a 1 minute rest between each set. Then the workout was a simple but destructive 8 minute AMRAP of 10 burpees and 10 KBS. The music isn't going to be cranked up CRAZY loud here since the audio bounces off the walls quite a bit and the trainer wants to be heard when coaching his athletes. I'm pretty sure rower workouts don't happen often since their are only 2 rowers in this facility. He also had a nice Olympic Lifting room to the side with the necessary equipment to work on progressions for your OLY lifts. The kids room was in great shape with a big window for everyone to see in and out easily. I would highly recommend!! They also offer a first class free if you want to just check out the vibe here!!

I've had a mixed experience at this Crunch location. The staff is genuinely friendly, and the…read morerecent remodel looks beautiful -- bright, clean, and definitely more inviting than before. The equipment layout feels more open, and the whole place has a fresh vibe. The only downside is that some of the juvenile clients can make the environment a little annoying at times, especially during peak hours. It doesn't ruin the gym, but it does take away from the overall experience. Overall, it's a solid gym with great staff and a gorgeous update -- just be prepared for the occasional immature crowd. --- Cute Copy‑and‑Paste Icons for Yelp (These all display cleanly on Yelp) ‍ ‍

I went in and was signed up by Daniel. First red flag "oh we only withdraw straight from a bank account so no debit or credit cards. We need your routing and account number". Then he has me sign a few places and it was supposed to be 9.99 monthly. I get a copy of the contract via email and it says the amount with tax added, ok that's fine but then another 2 dollar fee after that each month. Next I see on the contract that you can use a credit or debit card. Long story short, I go back in the next day to cancel because I have a "3 day right to cancel". Good ol Daniel is back at the desk. I tell him I want to cancel. I don't even get into why because it won't change his scummy practices. He says it's cancelled and I will receive an email within 20 minutes. No email after 2 hours. I go back, this time I get Nir, he tells me "it shows cancelled in my computer look you can see right now" I say "I want an email or print out, I don't trust you all". He sends me an email, said I should get it shortly. I get the email that shows my account frozen until December but not cancelled!!! At this point I'm pissed off because if I didn't push it, I would be stuck in a contract because the 3 day would be up. I show it to him he says "it was a mistake, I am the general manager, I assumed he (Daniel) did it right. He then sends me another email that finally shows it as cancelled. They did everything they could to lock me into a contract and I'm sure they do this all the time!!! I don't care if I never find another sauna, Crunch Will NEVER get my business again.
