Great Follow Through…read more They do what they say they are going to do. No surprises. Just honest hard work and no games. They built our composite deck and it was beautiful. Our sales rep worked really hard with us for months to get the design and materials just right. He brought over samples and drew and re-drew many designs. We felt really comfortable once the project began and it turned out more beautiful than we had even imagined. Ever time I called the office someone answered the phone and got me answers or got me to the right person. Every time I emailed someone they got back to me within 1 business day. The crew was polite and hard working. Just a really good experience all around for a major project. I highly recommend them for gutters also.

I reached out for service to my chimney, in Minneapolis. I can't actually speak poorly about the…read moreconstruction work this company provides, because I didn't get that far. I had some odd interactions with the reception staff. I called to schedule an estimate, and as we were setting up a time, she asked me about whether my "husband" would be there. It was really startling (I'm an out lesbian). I chose to handle it with humor, so I laughed and answered, "Hon, I don't have a husband." I got the impression she disliked that. I thought about just canceling the estimate, as I wouldn't want to work with a company that might be unfriendly to LGBTQ customers. But I figured it was just an estimate, and I could see if I got a good vibe from the person who actually arrived. The estimate was scheduled yesterday at 11:30am. I'm not a morning person, and will generally sleep till 10am or later. But my phone rang before 8:30am, which was not ideal! It turned out to be a receptionist from Lindus construction. I said something about the time (and to be fair, probably sounded pretty grumpy), and she basically began arguing, saying that they were open (so I guess I should be on the same timetable?), and that she hadn't specifically been told not to call me before 9am. The reason she was calling was that they wanted to reschedule due to weather, which was fine, but I figured, you know -- this company might be kind of right-wing/ not queer-friendly, and certainly doesn't seem to be sleep friendly, and those are two things I cherish (LGBTQ people, and sleep). So I just canceled. Adding an additional note in response to the reply from Bridget C. First, thanks for reading and for the rapid response! Second, your note did indicate that I had "misconstrued" your receptionist's statement about my imagined "husband". I actually stated facts, and then recognized the possibility that those facts could potentially indicate a lack of LGBTQ friendly consciousness at Lindus Construction. It might be fair to say that I misconstrued something if I had gone from just a mere possibility to a vehement declaration (e.g. saying something like "Clearly, this company hates all LGBTQ people!"). But under the circumstances, my critical feedback seems pretty mild, quite plausible, and doesn't seem to mistake or "misconstrue" what actually occurred. Sorry if it seems like I'm nitpicking, but I think that accuracy in this instance matters. With that said, thanks for talking to your staff about this issue! Third, I agree wholeheartedly that Minnesota culture reflects our experiences of winter! But that's not quite the issue here. The storm you reference happened between Saturday night and Sunday. It was pretty predictable that there would be snow on the roof on the Tuesday after, and snow was also forecast for Tuesday since the weekend. So it certainly would have been fine and possible, if your staff wanted to reschedule a Tuesday 11:30am appointment to just call anytime Monday afternoon, or to call Tuesday morning, but not quite so early (i.e. at 10am or later). The call yesterday morning, before 8:30am, wasn't actually dictated by the weather. One value we do have in Minnesota is that compared to many states, we sometimes put a lot more value on caring for people, for neighbors, for community members. So take my critical feedback in that spirit? Minnesota includes many elders and people with disabilities, and a lot of us need more time in the morning to rest and to take care of our health, our hearts, our sore limbs, our digestive systems, our over-taxed adrenal systems, and to just to allow us to rise gently. So if you were open to changing your business culture (because it is corporate culture, not Minnesota culture that generates the norm that incorrectly assumes everyone should be up at 8am) -- it would be pretty simple, when having your reception staff do intake with new customers, to just ask, "If we need to call you, what hours are you generally available?", and then to take note of and honor the response. Doing so would be a great way to attract more loyalty from some of the many Minnesotans who are aging and disabled, and again, there are plenty of us. Thanks again for the reply, and take care!

They came in midway in terms of cost from the three different contractors we talked with. The overall estimate was approximately nine weeks, and they came in on time and on budget. My wife worked closely with them to keep track of things, correct issues that came up, and the like. We appreciated that when anything went wrong, they were always willing to step up and make it right. The final result was a bathroom that is stunning and is something that would cause a prospective buyer to "have to have this house." But having said that, we're going nowhere. :) Also, the financing was excellent and made the project very doable. I would recommend working with PDR again.

And yet, somehow our project manager, Cole Vagovich, could only be bothered to do 3 sites visits for the entire duration of the project. Maybe not an issue for a project that's coming along seamlessly, but ours was certainly not. He didn't even care to do a final walk-through. Professionalism is severely lacking with PDR. Cole Vagovich especially seemed to enjoy firing off peppery texts, pages-long emails of character assassinations and threats of filing liens if we didn't pay our invoice...even though we had yet to receive the invoice. Dealing with him was bizarre. The quality of work was often poor. Things had to be done over, sometimes multiple times. Installing stair skirt 2-3 inches above the steps multiple times is not what we asked for, It's hard to imagine there are people out there asking for "floating stair skirts" and trim that is 6 inches higher around a corner, or patching a floor with flexible roofing OSB, for example. Or maybe it was the window install that we discovered hadn't even been fastened to anything. Or the brand-new tile backsplash that started off poorly and then crumbled off after 8 weeks. It's really just like we hired some people to show up at random times, doing pieces of work that no one from PDR cares about or checks on. It also takes them so long to get anything scheduled or done. I cannot wait to completely wash my hands of them.

That said I still went ahead with the contract. The fascia was done in a timely manner, and looks nice. No complaints, other than the price hike. The windows were a different story. They came and measured and it took them 8 weeks to finally schedule my appointment. I guess they don't really care about the "smaller" jobs. When they came, they informed me that they had mis measured the larger window and couldn't install it. They re-measured it and assured me they would put a "rush" on it. They installed the other window but didn't have time to wrap it. Fast forward another 6 weeks and I get a call telling me they need to measure the window again. Hello? Didn't you do that 6 weeks ago? Regardless it still wasn't ordered! They had to come and measure again (3rd time now). I'm not a contractor, but you think that if you are you would know how to do that right the first time. Fast forward another 2 months to finally get them to install it. Total time to get two windows installed was 6 months. Unacceptable. Paid them half up front, half upon finished. Paid in cash. Get final paperwork and find they put a lien on all projects. Beware of this company.

Due to a recent hailstorm, we needed to have our roof replaced. After interviewing several roofing…read morecontractors, we chose eRoof to perform the work. Their representative, Garret H., presented a thorough plan for completing the work, assured us that he would coordinate with our insurance company as much as we required, and had a plan that would get the work done in just a few weeks. The eRoof bid was also in-line with other bids we had received to do the work. At the same time, we decided to upgrade our gutter system, which was the original one from 1959. The new system we chose included a cover to eliminate the need for gutter cleaning. We also needed to fix our chimney cap, which was falling apart in large chunks. eRoof also gave us competitive pricing for both projects and integrated that work into the overall work plan. The chimney cap replacement was completed first. That work began on a Monday and was finished the next day. The roof replacement happened on Friday, and the gutter system was hung the following Monday. All of the work was completed in an 8-day span. Throughout the process, Garret H. worked closely with our insurance adjuster to ensure that the new roof system met the current code requirements, with the insurance company agreeing to pay for the additional underlayment called for in the code regulations. The work crews were professional, courteous, and respectful of our property. The cleanup left the grounds in good condition. In conclusion, we are very pleased with the results in all three cases - the roof, the gutter system, and the chimney cap. We both recommend eRoof as a solid choice to handle your roofing (and other) needs. Kathie and Larry P. Roseville, MN

He and the team at eRoof were very supportive throughout the entire project, thoroughly explaining everything and efficiently getting the project completed.
