We were forced to pair up with strangers in a 5-some, and even noticed several 6-somes on the course. The Legacy Courses, once a fun and challenging experience, seem to have lost their charm post-renovation. Unfortunately, the redesign feels like a missed opportunity. The courses now lack excitement, pose safety risks (with fences needed to protect against stray balls), and have awkward layouts, such as a lengthy 2-minute cart ride through a barren neighborhood just to reach the next hole. On top of that, Lehman's 9th hole is inconveniently distant from the clubhouse, leaving you with only a basic campground-style bathroom and a food truck offering little more than hotdogs, chips, and drinks. If you're looking for a better golf experience, consider checking out The Pines at Grandview, Madden's Classic, Madden's East, or Whitebirch in Breezy Point.

Our son has grown so much thanks to MHC. He has really developed as a player and as a person. He has met players from all across the world (and country) and we see them at tournaments occasionally... so nice to see the kids meeting and making new friendships! They have not only great hockey instruction but they also help the kids understand the importance of doing their best in everything they do. (I love that they not only offer ice time but classroom discussion about teams and leadership!) Great family environment, with great coaches and caring owners! Would definitely recommend! Thanks MHC! We WILL see you guys again! As a great side note some of the counselors and coaches have even kept in touch with us to follow his hockey year. They have sent him encouragement and cheered on his success! I mean wow! Just awesome!

* hyper-efficient 30-minute workout * total body blast w/ a…read morequick pace * still feel it 3 days later (what a great feeling!) * genuine, personalized, research-based coaching from Emily and Tom How challenging could a 30-minute workout possibly be? This was my thought when my brother asked me to join him for a workout at Strength Studio when I was in Brainerd over Christmas week. I am writing this review on Monday, my workout was Friday, and I'm still feeling it in my arms and legs. Strength Studio has me hooked - and I'm definitely going back whenever I'm in town. The format of the workout is 1 set of each exercise, performed to exhaustion. This means you go until you can no longer perform a repetition with perfect form. At the point of exhaustion, Emily would typically assist me to perform one final rep, and I had to hold that position for 10 seconds. It's tough, but you feel a real sense of accomplishment when you're finished with each exercise. The exercises are I come from the traditional "3 sets of 10" world of lifting, so this was a new concept for me; I really enjoyed being pushed beyond my comfort zone for each exercise. Emily was my 1-on-1 trainer and proved to be a great teacher and motivator - you really need someone in your ear to push yourself to exhaustion in an exercise. But afterwards, its like you can feel yourself getting stronger. Because you're performing each only one set of each exercise and then moving on to a new body part, the workout flies by, and when it's complete you feel like you had an excellent total body workout, even though it only took 30 minutes. My home gym is a corporate gym in Las Vegas. And while that gym has similar equipment and machines to Strength Studio, I find it too easy to make excuses and not give 100% to each exercise: - "There's someone already on the machine. I guess I'll skip it" - "I feel too tired right now to finish this exercise" - "Is this the correct form for this lift?" Inevitably I leave for home unfulfilled despite spending an hour at the gym plus the commute. The 1-on-1 training with only 1 set for each exercise was a refreshing switch for me - and it left me craving for more workouts in this fast-paced style. If you're looking to make real changes to your body, I highly recommend checking out Strength Studio.
