Do you body a favor and take a Pilates class, then take several more!…read more I was recommend Pilates by my physical therapist after a knee injury and surgery which made it difficult to be as active as I used to be. I had also been experiencing back and shoulder aches and spent 8 months with a chiropractor with no resolution. I took an intro class, they are free and a great introduction of you've never worked with a reformer, I had not. You will also need socks with grips on the soles. The instructor was incredibly helpful and talked out each move and breathing techniques. They have also taken the time to come over and adjust you if your form is wrong (COVID has changed things). All of this is to say that after 3 months of starting Pilates, the pain my shoulder and back are nearly gone, my posture is better (I sit in front of a computer all day), and I have seen a huge difference in what my knee is able to do now compared to my first Pilates class (I had a lot of modifications). Membership: There are several different types of memberships based on number of classes you'd like to attend monthly or weekly. The passport for example is an unlimited membership that allows you to go to any Club Pilates nationwide and costs $259/monthly. Classes: An abundance of experienced instructors and classes. You can book using the app and the login is site specific. This is my only issue with Club Pilates; the old app worked well for me but the 2.0 version does not.

I was worried about not knowing what to do (truly didn't know what to expect in the class) but the instructors kept checking in and I never felt that I was lost. I took the Signature 45 class and the Cardio 45 class. Signature 45 was low impact, high reps, and cardio was a high-ish impact, high movement calorie burner.

I came to a class with a friend of mine for free almost one year ago, and little did I know, that one class changed my life. Ever since last October, I've gotten the "barre3 bug", and have proven to myself that I can stick with a workout regimen between 3 to 5 days a week for almost a full year now, and not get sick of it. The instructors are friendly, extremely knowledgeable and diverse, which allows a full range of people to attend any class that is offered and feel as though they are successful upon leaving. It doesn't matter if you're a life long athlete or never been physically active, these classes offer many variations of the same movements to accommodate anyone. I've lost almost 17 pounds since beginning bar classes almost one year ago, and truly appreciate the value these classes have brought into my life. The owner, Jess, is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming, so even if you've never taken any sort of barre class, you won't feel out of place or uncomfortable, no matter what class you decide to take... Well, you may be uncomfortable, but that's just because the workout is so good! They even offer childcare for those who need it and options to stream classes from home, which I take advantage of most of the time. When I've gone into the studio, the instructors are so friendly and nice and act like I'm coming back to see an old friend. For someone who has a tendency to be self conscious OR for the most confident person ever, you can rest assured that when you visit the Ft. Thomas Barre3 studio, you'll have a positive and challenging experience, which allows you to leave the studio feeling better for having come in. I promise! (Even if you feel like you can't walk the next day bc you're so sore!)

I've been taking classes here for a year all of the instructors are friendly. Jen the manager is great, very detailed explaining everything during class The Center & Balance is my favorite where you have a variety of stretches while increasing your balance, the class is great on Monday evening after a stressful day with Abby or to start your day with Stephanie on Friday mornings. Cassidy is also great on Tues & Thursday mornings & all of Jen's classes are great. The one thing is this place is busy & at times can be hard to get into classes especially if you only have a class pass not unlimited because you can only sign up for classes on the monthly date of your pass renewal, for example mine is on the 5th of the month so I can't sign up for new classes until it hits the 5th of the month so I then I'm waitlisted for the classes I want to take

It doesn't roll over.

Sometimes I hate giving 5 stars to a local gem because I fear it will lose it's edge when more and…read moremore people go. But seeing on how I relay on Yelp to make some of my decisions, I am doing this for the team!. Pendleton Pilates is an amazing place to get a full body workout with no pressure, or physique credentials!! There is a full spectrum of body sizes, athletic ability, and body versatility and everyone is comfortable! You workout at your own pace and making sure that you use the correct form and pay attention to your body. The classes are small 4-8 people, which means that you get a pseudo individualized training. I guess that is why it's so damn expensive, but recently i had a realization that your health comes first, and then your money - once the healthy goes, the money won't make you happy. However, I still struggle shelling out $255/mo for an unlimited month package; which is much better than 10 Group Sessions: $230, 20 Group Sessions: $420, or especially 30 Group Sessions: $540!! Yikes!! So in order to sleep at night, I get the unlimited month package, which motivates me to go to as many classes as I can, so I can pay less per class. And that really works!! Sometimes I'm tired or just too darn lazy, but paying less is definitely an incentive to get in there and get my workout/money's worth! So if your not big into working out or don't like the big gym feel, I recommend Pilates Reformer.. It helps with every nook and cranny of your body - you will notice the difference with just a few classes and there is no pressure. #GettingFit

Each has a unique style, but all have been welcoming and patient, so I recommend trying as many as possible to find the ones that mesh with your needs. The studio is just ok. In the summer it can get a bit stifling (in the mat area- I don't do reformer) but it is well worth it and doesn't detract from the overall experience. Highly recommend.

Pendleton Pilates is awesome! While walking through Hyde Park Square in July, I peeked into their…read morenew location and saw these interesting contraptions - a reformer machine. I had been wanting to start a new fitness regimen and pilates seemed like a great idea. After going home and googling "pilates reformer", I decided to give it a try! If you have never taken a reformer class, you are required to complete an initial consultation series. Essentially, you get four hour long private lessons to teach you the basic movements on the reformer. How neat! Many movements feel extremely awkward at first...one word: leg straps. Ha! After practice the movements start to feel more natural. I was so thankful for my consultation series. I felt like I knew all the movements, and was ready for my first group reformer class. While I was nervous, the instructor made an effort to pay special attention to me and to remind me of all the moves. This was easy for her, because each class has a maximum of seven students, limited by the number of reformers available. While the first class was difficult, (I totally got schooled by a woman probably 30 yrs older than me...embarrassing!!) I feel like I've gotten much better with every class. I feel stronger already! The instructors have been nothing but nice, and I've enjoyed every class I've taken so far. Each instructor teaches the class differently, which I enjoy. Reformer classes are great for people of all ages and abilities, and especially for those with injuries. The instructors always make sure to ask before class if anyone has injuries and make sure to remind students of the modified moves they can do. Pendleton has four locations- Hyde Park, Loveland, Downtown, and West Chester. Each studio offers a variety of classes including mat classes, ball classes, and a new jump board class. They offer classes at many different times making it easy to find time to attend a class. Pendleton also offers a teaching certification program through Balanced Body- the maker of the Pilates reformer machines they use. It is one of the most comprehensive in the area. Is teaching in the future for me? Perhaps... although I'm still trying to get used to those leg straps! Ha! I love Pendleton and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in pilates!

I went to five Saturday morning mat classes, which I really enjoyed. The instructor was different each week (I think I ended up experiencing three different ones) which I didn't mind, but I'd think some people might. Each instructor ran class a little differently - again, I liked this but you might not. Each one was also very effective at giving instruction and helping the participants work through the bizarre exercises you do in Pilates. Aside from the mat classes that my Groupon was good for, they also have "Reformer" classes - not that I'm sure what that means exactly. I think the Reformer is some Pilates apparatus, but I got the impression that the clients who take those classes do like them. In fact, there's a lot of positive energy at Pendleton Pilates in general ... always a good thing when you've dragged your butt out of bed to work out on a Saturday morning! One other thing I really like is their web site. They provide plenty of useful information about Pilates and all of their locations, and they even have a WebScheduler. I really appreciate this feature - you can see when the classes will be held and who will be teaching them, reserve a space in a class, and look up your class history and appointments all in one place. Very handy! The only downside is that now that I've used up my Groupon, I won't be able to afford to go every week. A 10-session pass for the mat class is $100 (individual passes are $12), which I believe you can split into two payments. I intend to go back, just not every week unfortunately. If you're looking for a Pilates studio in the Madisonville/Oakley area, I do recommend Pendleton :)

I was fortunate enough to try the classes with their 8 classes for $99 deal. The bathrooms were clean, the facility was clean, and the staff was kind. Some people got codes to the door so they could enter for their classes, but I didn't get that luxury. The pricing for membership is decent (might be steep for others depending on your budget), but I wish they offered more medium/low income friendly options. Or at least extended the amount of classes you get access to. The scheduling is online which is great, but the availability was scarce for what I wanted to try. I'm recovering from an injury so the instructors were mindful and offered variations I could try instead that would've cause me pain. Still, I think gentle Pilates Reformer would've worked better for me and I didn't get to try that because it was only offered during the day and never after 5pm.
