The gym sits on the 36th floor and has a gorgeous view of Lake Ontario and the CN Tower and the Dome! Lots of equipments, Exercise bikes, Elliptical machines, Tread Mills and various other Weight Machines and assorted Bar Bells and Dumbbells. The Change room could be a little crowded during preCovid peak times. Now days quite empty as most members have not yet returned to downtown. It also has a Yoga Studio, Group Exercise classes and a full size swimming pool on the top floor. Steam room and Whirl pool in both Men and Women's Change rooms. Although I have never been in the Women's Change Room. It also has a Health Clinic staffed with many Physiotherapist, Registered Massage Therapist, Chiropractors , Athletic Specialists and Personal Trainers! It has a 5 star restaurant attached with a gorgeous view of the lake and the city. You don't have to be a member to eat at the restaurant or visit the Health Clinic for Treatments. Membership is expensive though, I pay $200 a month for use of the gym and assigned a tiny cube to store my Running Shoes and some gym clothes. The bigger lockers are for day use only . You can request a tour of the facility to get a better understanding of the facilities. If you mention my name, you might get some freebies... I usually go there 3 days a week in early mornings and it's almost like my own Private Gym. 10 minutes walk from my office, so there is no excuse for me not to go and get Fit!

Change rooms are fantastic and fully equipped with WHATEVER your heart desires - even personalized lockers! Run or gobble at their restaurant with a view. If you want to work out at a place that has nearly everything you need then this is that place but at a steep price point. They have a swimming pool and doesn't seem to ever get too crowded. I tried out the yoga lesson bright and early which was great as it felt more like a one one one. I liked this instructor as she wasn't too pushy or too pretentious (as is my issue with Yoga and I never really gave it a genuine go before for this reason). I felt great after and would probably even sign up for a membership if I worked in the area.

Here's the scene-- i'm in town with a friend and looked for a box that i can go for the week. We buy the unlimited week package. We get there-- and are greeted by Crossfit 416's only redeeming quality-- the front desk guy, Gus. He was super helpful, while Rachel was not on the phone, and found us a cheaper option for the week. We check in, and head to the back. We are greeted by no one, and there were three coaches back there, Luke, Rachel, and Daniele. I had to introduce myself to Luke, and ask "Hi, are you the coach? My friend and I are visiting for a class." He said "yes." That's it. No question of my fitness ability or Crossfit experience. Then, as we were doing the strength portion of the class, the only "coaching" we received from Luke was negative. It was clear to me that during his L1, he learned that the only way to coach is provide negative feedback, and ZERO positive feedback. As two experienced Crossfit athletes, i'm certain there was SOME aspect during our one-hour session that he could have praised. Instead, it was all negative. At one point, he told us "don't be afraid to bend into the swing" while we were doing double KB Russian swings. WHAT? No where have i ever been told to bend into a KB swing. Why Luke was so critical, yet had zero questions about our experience confuses me. But, it was clear that he didn't care about safety. The shitiness of this gym didn't end at the coaching though-- when the next class came in, there was a guy, Ramzi, warming up with kettlebells. One girl thought he was getting too close to the group, and ACTUALLY PUSHED HIM while he was swinging 70lbs of weight. They got into a verbal altercation, and Ramsey told the girl passionately that he "wished she would die", and made some very strange comment about the fact that "God does not exist". 1.) Who pushes someone swinging heavy weight? 2.) What the hell, Ramzi? 3.) Where are the coaches managing this altercation? My friend and I decided not to return to Crossfit 416 and just work out in the hotel gym. Oh wait, i lied-- other than Gus, the other redeeming quality of Crossfit 416 is the soft shirts. Yeah, we bought one to commemorate that time we went to the worst caricature of a box ever.

After trying out these gyms, I came to the conclusion that Adelaide Club is the best bang for your buck and also the most conveniently location. I personally like CrossFit style workout and Adelaide's StregthLab program is exactly what I need: a CrossFit style program inside a gym, allowing me to do some Strenth and Conditioning workout, while enjoying the other perks in the club (yoga, cycling, squash, towel services, steam room, etc.) Note that the StregthLab program and squash are not included on the basic membership. Having said that, it's still cheaper than any other CrossFit gyms. Also, another benefits at the Adelaide's StrengthLab program is that the workout are tailored to office athletes; heavy lifts and complex gymnastic movements are not part of the workout (muscle-ups, overhead squat, etc). Another perk of the club is that members get to enjoy reciprocal access to other exclusive clubs across Canada and abroad (private golf clubs, tennis club, other high end gyms in Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary)

The fitness boutique's first location is located in Etobicoke. The majority of their yoga and Pilates classes are in a heated room where the reformers are in a different room (grip socks are required to use the reformers). I was able to experience a class at Solis Movement recently. Was excited to check out this space as I had seen so much of it on Instagram. Upon entering the third floor (there are stairs to climb), you are met with an open space that is light and airy. You are required to take your shoes off before entering the studio. There are many shoe racks available to place your shoes. There is some seating at the entrance before you make your way to the reception area. The reception area has some merch as well as accessories available for purchase. Changerooms (separate for men's and women's) are at the back. There are lockers in the hallway or in the changerooms. For the women's changeroom, there are 3 individual toilet stalls and 2 shower stalls. If you do decide to shower there are also Dyson hair dryers as well. I took a hot HIIT Pilates class during my time at Solis. The props for the class are located outside the yoga/Pilates room where the instructor tells you what to pick up before you enter. There are 2 different types of weights (2 pounds or 5 pounds) as well as 3 different type of resistance bands available for your choosing. There are also yoga blocks as well. For my class we were told to take a pair of weights, a block and a resistance band. Not knowing what exercises we would be doing I opted to get both set of weights and 2 types of resistance bands just in case. In the yoga/Pilates room, each mat is assigned a number. The instructor's mat is situated in the centre of the room but she also walks around as well. Our instructor for the class was great - she was enthusiastic and encouraged us to do our best with the workout as well as provided modifications for all fitness levels. Her instructions were clear and the music she played was definitely a vibe. I definitely worked up a sweat as we went through different exercises to target the whole body (glutes, abs, arms, back, etc.). Before the cool down, we ended class with a cardio set as well. Overall, Solis is definitely a great new addition to the King West neighbourhood offering hot yoga/Pilates and reformer classes in a bright and light atmosphere. Definitely would consider to return if I want to switch up my workouts once in a while!

This particular review is for a sculpted yoga class I was able to attend at Equinox. I can't comment on the membership prices since the class was a free event held at Equinox, however, I still had access to the entire gym after the yoga class. This particular location on Bay St. is inside Commerce Court West where you have to take an elevator up to the 3rd floor to access the gym. Upon entering you immediately face the reception area. The lighting of the gym at first when you enter is dark and moody. The areas with the machines are well lit and the yoga room overlooks the corner of Bay/King. The change rooms are big where there are plenty of lockers available. You are able to find the steam room, showers, and washrooms inside the changeroom. There is ample space to change and shower after your workout. Everything I needed for the yoga class was provided. The room is not heated. The spacing of the mats are generous where there is ample room for everyone to move. The instructor we had was clear with her instructions and the workout was fun. After class we were provided with cool refreshing towels. Overall, the gym is clean and provides many amenities with all the workout equipment and machines you can think of. I took the Hatha class with Reena on Friday afternoon; it was very relaxed and I loved that the maximum number of students for this studio is only around 6 people! The natural light and spa location make this tranquil setting ideal for unwinding at the end of a long day. Even though I was not a guest of the hotel, the staff here personally escorted me to the location to ensure I wouldn't get lost (the spa location is a bit tricky to find). Overall I found the class to be pretty straightforward and Reena provided several adjustments throughout the class. This studio also has props for student use. If you're in the area I'd definitely recommend this class if you can make it several times a week; anything less gets very pricey though. The change rooms and washrooms are very luxurious - there are private lockers and plenty of space. I'm not sure if Passport to Prana members can use the gym facilities, but take advantage of that if you can. The entire gym and spa area is gorgeous! My only regret here is that I didn't take photos. There were only 2 other people participating in the class so it was hard to sneak a few ;-)

Think Twice before JOIN -- DECEPTIVE BILLING & TRAP-LIKE POLICIES…read more If you're considering joining GoodLife Fitness, please learn from my experience and think twice before signing up. What happened to me feels like a deliberate setup to trap customers into unfair charges. Here are the facts: On December 8, 2025, I submitted an online request on Goodlife website to Temporary freeze my membership until April 30, 2026. My billing date is normally the 9th of each month (CAD $116.52), which is exactly why I submitted the request on the 8th -- to avoid being charged. From that date onward, neither I nor my secondary member ever visited the club again. According to information on GoodLife's website, a frozen membership should cost only $10/month. Yet here's what actually happened: * Dec 9, 2025: Charged $116.52 * Jan 9, 2026: Charged $21.04 * Feb 9, 2026: Charged $69.56 * Mar 9, 2026: Charged $69.56 This is completely inconsistent, confusing, and clearly not the advertised freeze fee. When I called customer service on March 24, 2026, instead of helping, they gave me a series of very complicated, misleading explanations trying to justify every charge and ultimately blamed everything on me. They refused to refund any of the improper charges. The customer service representative just kept repeating many times: "We are not pay-per-visit, and our charges are valid and correct." That's completely beside the point. Of course, I know you're not pay-per-visit -- if I thought you were, why would I be paying a monthly fee at all? Their "reasons" were outrageous: 1. You must submit a freeze request at least 3 days before the billing date. This requirement was NOT clearly disclosed during the online process. 2. Only my primary account was frozen, not the secondary account. There was NO clear option or instruction online to freeze the secondary account separately. Any reasonable person would assume both are included. You charge me 2-persong together and you freeze us separately? This feels like a deliberate trap to keep charging extra fees. 3. Cancellation requires 30 days' notice. Meaning they will continue charging you for another full month even after you try to leave. This is not customer service -- this is predatory billing disguised as policy. I was so frustrated that I immediately cancelled my membership on the same phone call, but even then, I believe they will still charge me again due to their 30-day rule. In summary be aware: * Hidden rules * Poorly disclosed conditions * Confusing billing structure * Refusal to resolve or refund * Policies designed to maximize charges, not fairness This feels like a system designed to take advantage of customers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was in the exact same situation with another brand name club. At that time, I was able to temporarily freeze my membership, and later cancel it without any issues. The process was much simple, transparent, and straightforward. I have never encountered problems like the ones I am facing now. This inconsistency is both confusing and frustrating. If you value transparency and fair treatment, Think Twice before JOIN from GoodLife Fitness. There are many other choices out there.
