You order and pay first. Then you go and pick your table. Your receipt contains a number wich they shout out when they deliver the food to your table. The restaurant has no wc. A few tired boiled potatoes, some boiled carrots and cauliflower. An utterly tasteless watery sauce, with only a very faint flavor of apple. This course would have been slightly disappointing, had I bought it as a 80 SEK lunch at some random place. Here, several times more expensive, it's just ridiculous. Main course two: Back of cod with mashed potatoes, red wine sauce and some pork. Entire meal way to salty. The mashed potatoes was extremely heavily infused with garlic - garlic with that extremely bitter taste that comes from being fried way too hard. Almost inedible. I can accept a slip up or two in a restaurant, but when every meal is consistently badly prepared? Not even in a cheap restaurant, which this is not. Maybe the simple classic seafood, that mainly relies on the freshness of the fish would be fine here - But we didn't find out, as we left as soon as we could.

We ordered a bottle of the house red and it was quite nice and easy to drink. The price was very reasonable at 465 SEK. For appetizers, we ordered the Butter-fried Hokkaido bread with cream-fries chanterelles, hot-smoked wild duck, pickled silver onion and Swedish cheese and the kampot cured hamachi with jalapeño emulsion, baby gem, roasted pepper, finger lime, salt-roasted almonds and herb salad. For the main course, we ordered the daily lamb special, the butter- fried cod loin with chanterelles, pickled beetroot, hot smoked pork belly, baked celeriac, grated horseradish and butter chicken broth and the filet of beef with truffle-stewed leek, duck liver croquette, baked portobello, fried garlic, jus on roasted chicken and apple cider with fresh grated truffle. They have some fried delicacies - including fried fish balls (first time for me) and delicious extra crispy fried fish. Not only fried, but they have a nice variety of fresh and smoked fish - we got a huge platter of salmon, whitefish, and other cured/smoked delights - making the entire trip north worth it.
