Fisk is currently running a colab with Stop-BKK, a take on modern Thai cuisine. However, I was rather let down by my overall experience. From the start it felt like they were short-staffed. It was one bartender/server running a 14 seat counter and he was having a hard time keeping up. They would have done so much better with a second person assisting. Because they were so overwhelmed, they really didn't refill water and it took close to 40 minutes before they took drink orders. The food itself was rather lackluster. The menu stated one of the appetizers being "Pumkin Chips." However, it was just those cheap shrimp crackers that you can get at any Asian supermarket. The Crispy Walleye, was a little too thick, with parts of the fish feeling tough and overcooked. The curry sauce itself was also too spicy, completely overpowering the flavor of the rest of the dish. I think there is potential for this collaboration. But execution is lacking and improvement is needed. read more

Great place! We really enjoyed it. We had to make a reservation about 1 week in advance. They only have counter seating space. Service was great and attentive. Place is super romantic and relatively high end. Food was pretty delicious and unique as well. They have some nice fish dishes. And they had some specials. Wine list was good and they also had some non alcoholic cocktails as well. Bread was great and a sizable portion. Salmon eclair was pretty unique and delicious. Fisk soup was amazing, my favorite dish on a menu that we tried. Tuna tartar was great. Very fresh and tasty. Dessert we had some raspberry and some eye cream. Was very light and not extremely sweet. We dined in at Fisk on Friday night. We have dined at EBBE as well and loved our experience so we were looking forward ro dinner here. This restaurant is in the same building as EBBE and it is more casual and serves "family styled" meals to be shared. The food in my opinion was still Michelin starred level as is EBBE. I would highly recommend the Fisk soup, crab salad, and tuna tartare. The Fisk soup is made with a fish broth, but it is not fishy it is actually creamy and herbacious and has two or three different types of fish in it. It was rather enjoyable and we got the cup which was more than enough. The crab salad was very creamy, we never found out what type of crab was in it, but the pink grapefruit paired well with it and it was very Floridian. The tuna tartare had the salt and acid that I love and I also love tuna. This one was my favorite out of the crab salad and tuna tartare. They had no issues accommodating my having Celiacs Disease and everything we had was gluten free. There is a parking lot on the side of the building. I would recommend a reservation. The restaurant on this side is pretty small so it's all bar seating or otherwise called Chef's Counter. The bar seats are very flat and have no real back support so that actually is pretty uncomfortable and there are no bar hooks for your purse. They have wine and beer. The wine selection is good. The overall space is nice, clean and chic. The decor is simple and aesthetic. Price wise it is a bit cheaper than dining at EBBE, but it's still expensive. We dined at EBBE and it was $$$$ and here it was about $$$. I would recommend both restaurants and they are both different. read more

A delightful birthday dinner I am a fish addict. I love it so much I've even had it for breakfast. I had EBBE on my list for some time, and when I saw Fisk emerge on the scene, I knew I had to try it as well. For my birthday I chose Fisk to get my foot in the door, so to speak. Walking past the back of the restaurant we could smell the grill, and knew we had to get something grilled, it was so tempting. EBBE and Fisk are the same building, same entrance. Fisk is to the right as you enter and EBBE to the left. We were greeted very quickly and seated at the bar. All seats at Fisk are at the bar. The chairs were not uncomfortable at all. We chose a few cocktails and so much food. In short, it was all delicious and meticulous and filled with flavor and nuance and love for the ingredients. Crab salad - i loved the presentation and the phyllo cup. the crab salad was refreshing and light. Beef tartare - again, great presentation. It was very good, mustard forward Salmon eclair- this was one of my favorite dishes. Textures, flavors, letting that salmon shine ...it was divine Fish soup- wow this soup is like an explosion of herbs. Its creamy, herby and just makes you feel alive Grilled turbot- We'd never had turbot, and this was a gorgeous introduction. Grilled and seasoned to perfection, the turbot was filleted in front of us (dinner and a show). Fabulous. It came with lemon potatoes, spinach and english peas. I could eat that side dish all day every day. Swedish Meatballs- good grief these are exquisite. Soft, tender...the lingonberries added a sweet tart element and dang. Just incredible. For dessert I had a strawberry crumble that was light and perfect, with a 1,000 vanilla bean ice cream, sweetened only by the vanilla. I'll think about that ice cream for a long time. Husband had a chocolate creamsicle dessert that was also excellent. Im not a huge chocolate fan, but it was very good. Fisk is truly a delight for your palate, a must for any Tampa foodie. I can't wait to go back, just describing these dishes made me want to go make a reservation. read more

For foodies, Fisk is a must try. The Smoked Salmon Eclair had a WOW factor and stole the show. The Potato Crusted Walleye fried fish was cooked to perfection (the second time around) it needed a bit more seasoning. The Sweetish Meatballs (not your IKEA ones) with the longa berries, shaved pickles and mashed potatoes were delicious. The concept is interesting, it's a shared place. Fisk is small bar seating only. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about their menu which changes often. read more

Haven't been to Fisk in a few months and, to my surprise, they have a new menu! Everything was absolutely delicious! Octopus, salmon eclairs, and lobster ravioli appetizers were fabulous! Duck and swordfish were great and, as always, the meatballs were exceptional! Fish Wellington was good, but we preferred the other entrees. Strawberry compote for desert topped off a great night! Ocean provided exceptional service at the bar, and Amanda greeted us and seated us upon entering. We love Fisk and hope they great their Michelin Star soon! read more

Meh. It was good but not great. The husband and I went for our 21st wedding anniversary in August. We had high hopes but it just fell short. It was our server/bartenders first night and she knew nothing about the menu. For the price we paid we expected much more. Hopefully it's gotten better over the last few months. read more

This was our second visit, and things have only gotten worse. We had a 9pm reservation but were told the kitchen was already closed when we arrived. After speaking with the chef, they agreed to seat us if we ordered immediately. The server was acting strangely, pushing us to order before we even sat down or saw a menu, and at one point randomly asked us what day it was? We were then brought the wrong entree. We accepted it to avoid delays, and although we were told it would be comped, we were still charged full price. The whole experience felt rushed. We were in and out in about 40 minutes. What was supposed to be a nice dinner turned into a scramble to order, eat, and leave. The space also feels cheap and unfinished, with bar stools that are way too wobbly. Overall, the execution does not match the quality you would expect from any upscale restaurant, let alone one connected to a Michelin-starred kitchen. read more

Very nice first impression of Fisk/Ebbe with my best friend for my birthday. We did not realize initially that the building was split between the two restaurants. The decor was elegant and tasteful. Dishes came out very hot and with good timing . Service was good, not bad, but not excellent. Both my friend and I had dead flies in our wine glasses, which did detract from the nice occasion for us at such a refined place. They obviously did replace them, but the way it was handled felt a little too casual for the setting, which surprised me. Lastly, I would have loved a better breakdown and description of the dishes and their elements as they came out, especially since the menu gives very little detail. I am accustomed to that level of detail, particularly in Michelin-rated settings. It just would have elevated the experience. Overall, great food, atmosphere and evening for us. Should be Better I arrived at 5:30pm since I had a 7:30pm curtain at the Straz. No one was in the restaurant and two other parties came in before I left at 7:15pm. The space is two restaurants in one separated by a curtain. On the other side is "Ebbe", a one Michelin star restaurant where a tasting menu is served. No one ever came into that space. I sat at the bar on the "Fisk" side. The setting is clean and pleasant. The very nice server was able to help me with the menu and made suggestions. I started with the Smoked Salmon Éclair, then moved on to the Fisk Soup, and then the Potato Crusted Walleye entree and finished with the Strawberry Crumble. Everything was pretty good when it should have been at least very good. The cocktail list is very limited and nothing is original, just a few standards. The wine list is also very limited and pretty unimpressive. Prices are on the high side. When I got the check, I was a bit miffed that I was charged $10 for a bottle of water. The server had asked me at the start if I wanted still or sparkling. I said "still" thinking it would be tap water unless asked if I specifically wanted a bottle. So, with tax & tip, it was almost $13. They add a 20% gratuity which is clearly stated on the menu and check. But the gratuity is also taxed which is annoying. I really like tasting menus and would have been interested in the "Ebbe" side. The 11-course menu is $295 with paired wines for $185. With tax and tip that would cost almost $620 for one person. I'm glad I tried the "Fisk" side which only set me back about $170 total for one person. I see no reason to return to "Fisk" or try "Ebbe", even with its Michelin star. read more

I think the good at Fisk is outstanding. I have been 3 times and each time the food and service was excellent. Today's visit was for a fish and chips special and it was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant read more

Disappointing TBH sat at the bar, not at the fancier prix fixe restaurant section. An "old fashioned" was just bourbon with tho small ice pieces, not the usual garnish but that's ok. Had to ask for napkins but hey! Salmon eclairs were good, but crab salad didn't evoke much. Soup was ok, more salmon. The fish was a bit bland and almost cold. Desert was good. Then the lights went off for the next 20 minutes! A chance occurrence, likely not their fault, but a completely missed opportunity to acknowledge the fact and come up with a save by offering a glass of anything on the house.
