I ordered a st. Croix musky mojo rod and a penn reel for my fishing trip to upper Michigan, paid for overnight shipping so I can go to this trip I paid for with buddies, and only got the reel!Now it's been three days and the day of the trip. So I called when they opened up and they sent me to voicemail four times within almost 40 minutes before somebody picked up! Then after explaining how frustrated I am the guy told me it's coming from st. Croix themselves and that they had not shipped it yet it looked like! I told the man that I ain't order from st. Croix and that I ordered from them, that I paid to get overnight shipping so everything would be here in time for this trip I and my buddies paid for! I told him I want some money refunded at a discounted price and my rod here today for my trip and the man told me he couldn't do that. Well I paid fish USA money to have all my stuff overnighted and here on time for my trip paid a lot for this trip let alone the rod and reel too and I did not pay at Croix I paid fish USA and there the one responsible to get me my rod on time. It's been 3 days on business days on overnight shipping!! And for them to not accommodate me with a major discount and my rod for their bad business highly frustrates me and I recommend everyone to spend there money somewhere else. 1) False advertising - claim to be "price match guarantee", when you ask them to price match, they do not respond. 2) Won't honor daily coupon - happened 3 times in a week, coupon applied, paid, and CREDIT CARD CHARGED, they cancelled the order a day later, no email, no heads up, only if log back in on line to check status. All credit card matched both shipping AND billing address but the order cancelled claiming "cannot verify credit card" while credit card already CHARGED. Had to call credit card company to dispute the charges to make sure they don't steal money. After finding their customer service, the true reason was they didn't want to honor the daily coupon. read more

Maybe this place is good if you live within the area, but i do not recommend mail ordering as returns for heavy or large items is very expensive. FishUSA would do better to provide a means to use their account to return items at a lower shipping rate. $28 to return a $45 item is not worth it, and i dont believe they paid $28 to send it to me. read more

Great price for rod, but I'm a little upset at the shipping.. I order a rod and put all of my shipping information on there, but when the item got to my town it says that it's being sent back to the store because of " incomplete address".. I'm a little confuse because when you order stuff online it won't let you purchase an item if you didn't complete the shipping address section.. I'm sure I put my full address on there that's why I was able to continue on and purchase the item... I had a request to refund my money back because it took a week to get here and then it took another week to be sent back and I didn't want to wait another week for the rod, so I got a refund.. Never have items in stock. I bought 2 reels back in early December and still do not have them. I keep getting emails that I can change my order. Every reel I look at reflects backordered. Placed my order For a total of $390 + dollars and 6 days later they still are not able to tell me if it has shipped or when it will ship. Apparently my order is placed through them but then sent to StCroix for processing and shipping. They have a new system that will not let them see what is going on with my order not from a lack of trying to get an answer. Aaron, Jim, Bill and Zack have all tried to help but no one is able to help to get a definitive answer. yesterday I was told it was shipping and I would receive an email with Tracking. Today they do not know why I did not get that email nor do they know if it has in fact shipped. I have launched many "new systems" within distribution and logistics and each have some bumps but usually a manual work around is possible. Here is to hoping for improvement. Past orders work processed with excellence but were small orders. Sadly on this particular time sensitive order not so much. read more

Found the tiger rod jigging for a great deal from fishusa via google shopping. After i made the purchase, i realized why it was discounted so much. It was a showroom model. I did not have high hopes but the rod shipped in perfect condition with all the tags. I was pleasantly surprised how fast it got here too. I ordered tuesday night, was shipped wednesday morning and arrived at my doorsteps of san francisco by friday morning. I went back to the product listing to make sure I selected the right product. It still showed the discounted price. I contacted the company via email. The reply indicated the rod was not on sale. I wanted to take a moment to thank the staff at FishUSA.com. I placed an order that, to me at least, was a significant amount of money. It was important that I received what I ordered and received it in a timely manner. I am in Hawaii and there is a significant time difference (6 hours I think) let alone the logistics of shipping items here. But the website said they could/would do it, so I placed my order. Ideally everything would go exactly smooth, but reality is sometimes there are issues. The mark of an excellent company is how they handle those issues. In my case a particular reel was not in stock but would be arriving in about 1 week. The good people at FishUSA.com contacted me the first available business day, I ordered on a Sunday, and informed me of such. Since this would not work for my circumstance the rep asked me several questions of what I was looking for in a reel, researched what was on hand or readily available from the manufacturer that might fit my needs and we came up with a solution that I am more than happy with. Everything shipped expeditiously, arrived on time and in good condition. During the ship time I had another question answered via email on the contact us portion of the website that very same night (Again there is a 6 hour time difference, it had to be late there). I am very pleased with my purchase and my decision to do business with FishUSA.com and will be doing so again in the future. I appreciate the rapid responses and effort. FISHUSA: Wow, I had ordered from them before, but always online and delivered to my home. On Saturday 11/24 I decided to go to Erie and do some night fishing on the south pier. Since FISHUSA is in the neighborhood, I figured I would check the retail store out...Well I was beyond impressed. The two gentlemen working the counter were EXTREMELY knowledgeable, friendly, and exactly the kind of people you want dealing face to face with customers of all fishing level. Do not be turned off by how little is one the retail store shelves, they are stacked to the brim in the attached warehouse. I picked out one heck of an assortment of ice jigs and sinkers. Not only are the staff members friendly and helpful, and the selection is staggering, but also their prices are incredible. Although it is about a 90 minute drive for me, I would rather go somewhere that stocks and assists in finding everything you need. FISHUSA is now my first choice for gear. read more

I bought an Okuma rod and reel frome them and neither worked well since the day I bought them. I got the feeling that FishUSA sent me defective products. After nine months of minimal use the reel broke. The gears stripped. FishUSA would not handle the problem. They only gave me the phone number of Okuma in California. I had to send Okuma a check to cover postage for shipping the reel back to me. Okuma took their time fixing the reel and sending it back to me. I will not buy Okuma and I will not deal with FishUSA. read more
