This place was such a disappointment. We went for dinner and drinks. Ordered our food and drinks .. we got our drinks. A guy from the kitchen came out with a dish that turned out to be to the table next to us. They took it away quick ..it was a little weird that the table next to us got their order before us since we came first. Anyways as it was cold we decided to move inside.. 20 Minutes had passed already. As we are sitting next to the kitchen we can see some Of it..I see the floor is dirty with food.. the same kitchen guy was finishing our plate. We had order lobster. He then drops it on the floor and picks it up. He looked very drunk so we called the waiter over and asked him about this. He went talk to him and came back to apologize and say we did not had to pay for the drinks o food..So we wasted 40 minutes and still no food.. we left and I was shocked! Went to Nyhavn 41 and got served right away.

I want to like Fishmarket but for the price I can go elsewhere and get great food with good service. I ordered the Bouillabaisse and for the equivalent price of $50, the Dish came with about six pieces of small mussels, which two of them were not opened. There was also a prawn (a very small lobster) and some white fish. The service was mediocre as well. I thought it was a typical price for restaurant food in Copenhagen but realized that it was expensive because it is close to a tourist attraction. If you eat away from Nyvan there are restaurants with a Michelin star that are priced more reasonably.

*DREADFUL SERVICE* Where to start?! Well for starters the waitresses didn't bid us a warm welcome and the vibe turned into an uneasy feeling. I ordered a "Plateau fruits de Mer" accompanying "The Selection" of 12 different oysters. In the process of ordering, I was discussing with my partner that I preferred the Gillardeau. I do not know the waitress by name, however, the ginger corrected my pronunciation in a degrading manner and there is no reason for her to act snobbish which made her look like a complete fool. We were not wine experts and by nature, we ask about her opinion regarding which ones she could recommend. Then again her snobbish demeanor rose to the surface, encouraging her to roll her eyes every time we spoke. She cannot expect us to know everything about wine, her education in this field, and service was very insufficient. The platter looked aesthetically beautiful, however, the oysters were not shucked properly. The oysters were not dislodged from their shells and we had to cut it ourselves. This is very basic and when we pay a fair amount for the dish, we expect that this fundamental procedure is known by the chef. On the last note, I want to amplify and address the notion of service. I normally do not write such a negative review, but this case is extraordinary. The waitresses did not even have the courtesy to ask if we enjoyed our food or anything for that matter. The ginger waitress destroyed my experience and I am not afraid to let anyone know that her skills in service are a joke. To act snobbish and a "know it all" towards customers is very embarrassing. She needs proper education and it does not cost anything to smile. The service alone is enough of an experience to regret that I spent money and stepped one foot into the Fishmarket restaurant!!! This review took me 5 minutes to write, imagine if I spent 10. 1 star service

Excellent food, Atmosphere and good wine menu. We chose the 3 course menu with fish items and ice cream. Everything was great. At the end had more drinks and enjoyed that martini too. Prices are good, about 600 dkk/person including wine and the cocktails. I will be back.

Food is OK, not overwhelming , service extremely ..... never mind. Keep in mind this place is working with shifts. No place to go out with your girlfriend or wife, changes to be kicked out and you are sitting very close to each other. Also your neighbors. This review is colored because I just been told that I have 15 minutes for dessert after she checked with her boss. WTF. How on earth you can tell that to a customer. Ok, than just give me the bill. Spend your well earned monies somewhere else.

First time visit was brilliant, second time not even close, starters really tasteless...some of them deffinatly shouldent have left the kitchen in any other way then with the garbage...not what u expect when paying 1000 kr per head.

First and foremost, the staff here are amazing! They introduced themselves and inquire about our likings and preference. In addition, they made recommendations that matched our likings while offering popular dishes that most recently ordered. Their mussels are absolutely amazing. The flavor paired with the green onion is on another holy level. Their seaweed butter and sourdough bread is also a must order. The crispiness of the crust is something other bakers need to contend with. Scallops had a nice Asian flavor to was hard to pinpoint but it definitely ruffled some thoughts about the origin of the sauce. Upon walking in, you'll be greeted with an ambiance that is sea themed and old pier like vibe. Don't be fooled by the decorations, no be distracted by the amazing drinks the bartender was crafting. This place is fun, has good vibes, and you'll wonder why you have not visited this establishment earlier. Great job team for delivering amazing service, food, and memories.

The food is prepared really well, and ingredients are super fresh though. Tried the little donut thing with caviar on top. That was the best bite of the meal. The caviar was so fresh. Was it worth the price? Hm, maybe not? The scallops were also great. Not overcooked. The fish and chips- great, moist. But hm, nothing really stood out. Also enjoyed the seaweed butter and fresh sour dough in the beginning. Overall, good experience. Nice service (people here are nice but not really warm- so it's an interesting vibe coming from the US). Probably great for a special occasion, but wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

There were outside tables, but it was a bit chilly, so we opted for the nearly deserted inside restaurant. We had a table near the window, so it was a great view. The restaurant was nicely decorated and the service was very friendly. I ordered the gravlax open-faced sandwich, which is smoked salmon (very similar to lox) on an excellent sour dough bread. I opted to skip the mustard sauce, but the sandwich was perfect. My wife had the potato open-faced sandwich, which consisted of new potatoes, organic rye bread, lemon mayonnaise (romaleid), fried onions and pickled pearl onions. She really enjoyed it, along with her Spritz drink. Denmark seems to be one of those countries, where you cannot order tap water. Fair enough. However, our water consisted of an open carafe (which I'm sure was tap water), for which we were charged 50 Krona ($8). This seems high for tap water.

Settled on fried fish and shrimp croquettes (ok). We knew it was a tourist trap, but we were looking for better service. Great location on a beautiful day, if not for the excitement of being in the city... the staff could have destroyed it. On vacation, looking to order a drink, I was advised they only had what was on the menu... mind you, as you look around, the establishment next door was rocking a full bar! In my opinion, pick a trap with friendly inviting and help staff... not unless you like it that way!

Picked this spot, not only cause it was by the Canal and advertised as Danish.. but also it's located next to this delicious hot dog food stand I enjoyed earlier after the Canal Tour - has to be good vibes right?! ;) Heh Plenty of outdoor umbrella seating with lovely string lights - most sat outside, as September weather in Denmark feels like AC. Plus, who doesn't love a great view? :) ==BEER== First thing's first, BEER. The waiter recommended Tuborg Classic (more malty) as it is their staff local favorite. Ordered that and Carlsberg (lighter like Pilsner) and I would agree, Tuborg's got a nicer, stronger flavor. ==FOOD== Ordered the chicken tartlet, which reminded me of a flakey biscuit chicken pot pie. It was good but my favorite was the Danish Meatballs!!! Wonderful blend of soft savory meat and sweet cranberry sauce, mixed with gravy! OOO and top it off, a sweet lady in front of us RAVED about the chocolate cake from her three course meal so just had to order it too. SO FUDGEY GOOD... very rich fudge Belgium chocolate with rich vanilla ice cream. I loved it sprinkled with the crumbles texture! I also enjoyed how the waiters were all so kind and willing to converse about local stories with the customers/tourists - friendly staff really added to the great experience here.
