When I arrived for my appointment the receptionist told me they had called and left a message cancelling the appointment. I had never received such a message or phone call. I verified that they had my correct phone number on file, and they did. No excuse for not calling or emailing to cancel the appointment! To add insult to injury, I had to pay $5.00 for parking for this non-appointment. The receptionist seemed completely unperturbed by this snafu, and told me to go to another address where they could do the test. She didn't give me a referral, contact name or bother to get an appointment for me. Thinking the address was for another location for the same practice, I drove there. Turned out it was Sibley Hospital. Not having a referral or appointment or even what department to look for -- and not wanting to wait around with sick people, I decided to leave and go home. This shouldn't happen to anyone, especially someone like me, who has ALS and has difficulty getting around.

If not for the niceness of the nurses this would be a 1-2 star review…read more I was a patient of Dr. Nsouli's a few years ago. I did allergy shots for close to a year and a half I think. I met with Dr. Nsouli maybe 2-3 times during that entire course. So just to prepare you, when you have your first appointment you'll meet with the doctor, you'll see every room in the office adorned with degrees and certificates and news articles etc. but your main point of contact will be a Nurse Practitioner. Did the allergy shots work? Yes...for 4 months. After that, and ever since, it's like they never happened. Every conversation with Dr. Nsouli or his nurse practitioner was about how the research shows allergy shots are effective for about 10 years, but that's only because the research didn't track them further. I do not recall being warned that their effectiveness could wane so quickly. What's especially brutal about such an outcome is that the allergy shot process is incredibly time consuming. You're coming in 1-2 times a week, waiting to get your shot, waiting for half an hour afterward, plus the time to get to and from. I almost cry when I think of how much time I lost for nothing. When I reported that the effectiveness had waned, their suggestions were to put me back on the same regimen of medicine I was on when I first came to Dr. Nsouli. And if that wasn't enough, I could consider trying a different form of immunotherapy, sublingual, but they didn't think insurance would cover it. In other words, it felt like them saying our method didn't work, but here's another one we can sell you out-of-pocket. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in a medical professional. Your mileage may vary, of course, Many people have success with allergy shot therapy. But not everything will necessarily be as rosy as depicted. I admit I should have gone back in person (I did virtual for my subsequent appointment(s) bc pandemic) but I was just too deflated.

The front desk was ok, just doing her job without being friendly. I was waiting in an empty waiting area until 30 min past my appt time. Then the nurse took me to a patient room, telling me that the doc has a patient before me. Eventually, my dermatologist was 45 min late for my appt. She was effective, got me out in 15 min. No check out was needed because I didn't need a follow up appt. Coming from the Anne Arundel Co in order to get an appt sooner, I feel like I have spent a lot more time commuting (1.5 h each way when you count traffic) + waiting (45 min past appt time) than being at the appt.

I've done allergy tests before but because I'm a weirdo and a allergic to basically everything, nothing was ever really concrete until now. Dr. Bailey is patient, kind, and understanding. The staff and nurses are all also very nice! Unfortunately, it's hard to meet genuinely nice people who are willing to help in medical offices. People always seem to be impatient or rude and no one at this office is remotely like that. So that's very much appreciated! I thought I had a Upper Resp Infection, but she said it sounded more like bronchitis! And boy, was she right because the meds she prescribed had those symptoms under control within two days! Other places I've gone to have missed the mark every time...they usually misdiagnose me and give me the wrong Rx! The doctor was very receptive of my concerns, and seemed to genuinely care about the way I was feeling...she even invited me to return in the future for a physical.
