Me and my daughter love fishing and when we checked in to Barrier Island Station, we were thrilled…read moreabout fishing the area. Our first visit in this place, we talked to Kelly and she's a very sweet, friendly and helpful. She recommended places to fish, possible fish to catch without over promising and bait to use. We also asked her about the charter and she hooked us later in the week to go fishing inshore (about 4-5 miles in the Atlantic). This was our first time experience in the area and of course, I didn't expect to catch anything but just to experience the trip. Captain George was very experienced and fun to be on the boat. Very professional and friendly and good at what he does (navigating the boat safely and finding the fish). Noah was our first mate; quiet and fun kid to be on the boat helping us all with our catch. Thanks Noah for all your help The other folks on the boat were funny and was just having fun during our entire time fishing. It was a great experience with great people in the boat enjoying the day fishing. At the end of the trip, we took home about 15 good size spanish mackerel. Cleaned and seasoned them for grilling and it was insanely delicious! if anyone wants to experience fishing during any season, contact Sharky's and they will hook you up.

Sharky's was wonderful to work with. We booked a very last minute fishing trip for our family of…read more4. We have a 9 and 12 yr old and we could not have asked for a better experience. We went out on The Sea Hag with Frank and his second mate Scott. They were so fun, patient, and knowledgeable. We caught a lot fish and made some really great family memories!! It exceeded our expectations, would absolutely do it again!! Kelly was wonderful as well at helping book the trip. A great company to work with, we had a wonderful time!!!

Nice place to watch the ocean. The bar Fish heads is very nice…read more The nachos are some store bought chips with cheese wiz and canned chili poured on them. But they are only 4.00. So if you understand the place then you will like it. Cheap beer cheap food on the damn ocean with no bs. The food ( burgers fries dogs fish tacos) all involve frozen stuff being fried and brought to you by a friend ly person. Its hot and cheap and when a really big wave come up you can feel it in your feet.

Good fishing pier, I suppose. Lots of stuff in the shop if you need tackle and bait. There is the…read moreFishheads restaurant, which serves breakfast sandwiches in the morning if you show up early and are hungry. The pier sways a lot at times, but it's kinda relaxing, imo. A guy broke the line on a large skate or ray at one point, at the end of the pier, so there's good stuff to be had. For bait he had been using a spot his son caught in the middle of the pier, so work that upselling magic here if you can. Service was generally good, but an employee yelled at me for parking in the handicapped spot, despite my handicapped placard, just because he didn't see my father walking with a cane on the other side of the vehicle. I even pointed to the placard when he first mentioned it, but he said it again. Maybe just look next time? Maybe I have a disability you can't see? Oh well. There are other fishing piers down here that I can go to next time I come down. Maybe the people there won't jump on me for not breaking the law.
