There are commercial and private moorage units available for rent here. I've contacted them for pricing, and they've been fair and have communicated well with me. This is also a lovely place to just see the boats and get outside and take a walk. When I've been in the area and need to get out, I've come here for this very reason. There's something magical about boats, the water, the salt in the air. Freaking love Seattle.

Always a great place to visit this Salmon Bay highlight just south end of the Ballard bridge. Morning are quiet, tranquil and beautiful. Sleepy boats, splashing waves and occasional seagulls bring the fishing sport to life. Chinooks, the anchor institution is a great sea food choice. Wild Salmon Seafood Market, Bay cafe, Highliner public house++ make this a great destination away from busy Ballard, Belltown or Fremont. Fishermen's memorial is the most frequent stop here.

So I will just write this up as a tourist because as far as a review as a fisherman, i haven't a clue. We were on a rampage to see as much as we could in one day and this was on the list. It rained All. Day. It was foggy and overcast and that just made this experience all the more delightful. We parked and walked up and down the docks and checked out all the fishing boats and were in awe of the shear size of them and the functionality. I think the thing that we found to be unbelievable was how very clear the water was at these docks! You could see down 4-5 feet and there was much plant life in them. It looked like young evergreens growing in the water, i have no idea if that is what they really were but we spent a few minutes trying to figure it out. It was told to us that this is where the boats from Deadliest Catch can be found, we have no idea what those boats are but we were still happy to see all the ones docked there and get a feel of the area. It is a great quick visit and then onward to finish the list of the must see things in Seattle.

We were too late to get anything right off the boat, but wandered into Salmon Bay to see what they had.
