From the moment my now husband and I toured Fishermen's Inn nearly two years ago, we knew it was the perfect place for us. Patti and the team have done an incredible job transforming the venue and grounds--it's hard to believe it was once a restaurant I remember from my childhood. Throughout planning, Tara was always so responsive, kind, and helpful. On our wedding day, every member of the Fishermen's Inn staff went above and beyond. They were professional, accommodating, and genuinely excited for us, which made everything feel seamless. All the vendor arrivals and little details we had discussed in advance were carried out just as we imagined, which gave us so much peace of mind. The setting itself was breathtaking, and we've continued to receive compliments from guests and vendors on how beautiful, scenic, and welcoming the venue was. The food, drinks and staff was also raved about by our guests! We couldn't imagine a more perfect backdrop for our May wedding day and are so grateful to the entire team at Fishermen's Inn.

Want to get married in 2 months? The Fishermen's Inn has your back! From the very beginning, the staff at Fishermen's Inn were extremely inviting, professional, responsive, and organized. Not only did this make us more eager to book our wedding here, but the beauty and cleanliness of the venue is something out of a storybook. When we brought up the idea of getting married in 2 months, they had no hesitation in making that work. Then, comes in Erin, the wedding planner/coordinator. She made the wedding planing flow without stress and perfect ease. She was diligent, sweet as can be, and had an eye in perfecting/executing fine details from the beginning to the very end. We are so so appreciative of her, her hard-work, and consistent bright energy. She really made us feel at home. Not only did she help us make it happen, the Fishermen's Inn supplies almost everything you could need. The tables/chairs, linen, excellent full course meals with a talented chef, fairly priced add ons (arch, card box, etc.), staff to execute all the task, and more. The only other part we were in charge of planning and executing by ourselves was coordinating a florist, DJ, and photographer. That's it! This was also an extremely easy task, as the Fishermen's Inn gives you a list of suggestions for vendors! Listed below is who we booked with and highly recommend: Florist: Janet Gallagher DJ: My Chicago Wedding with Rob Nicpon Photographer: Kim Ritchie Personal finds for hair and make up: Esme Gonzalez: esmestylistmt Veronica: makeupby_veronica Each one of them were beyond amazing and distinguished in their craft, were fairly priced, and so pleasant to work with. I can go on and on about how perfect our wedding was. It moved without a hitch and was something we wish we could experience all over again. We did not have one single bad review from our guest and many are still raving about it. Thank you Fishermen's Inn, staff, the chef, and Erin for making our dreams come true and for making us feel so incredibly special.

Went to a wedding here and it was perfect. Really nice indoor area for ceremony with big windows looking out to the patio/garden area. Outdoor area is really cute and a perfect place for a cocktail hour. Appetizers were good and all the staff was friendly. The main hall area is gorgeous and with the lights it had a perfect rustic feel to it. Would definitely recommend this place for a wedding. Also the food was really good! Some steaks were a bit over cooked but that's about it.

Lemons.

Everytime i asked for a lemon the severs always gave one i asked for so many lemons they just brought out like 20 lemons slices i asked for more they brought out a a whole lemon.

Lower patio (no table service but you can order food at the bar & bring it here)

Outdoor patio = 4.5 stars. It's absolutely gorgeous Food = 3.75 stars. It's a limited menu, but what's offered is good with a few minor technical flaws. (e.g., potato chips super greasy, got our order wrong but food was still tasty) We stopped by on a whim. It's been over 25 yrs since we were here last. (I still have the matchbook they gave us with my then-boyfriend-now-husband's last name) The weather was spectacular & they had live music. We sat at the bar & service was just okay. (To be fair, she was really busy) We enjoyed the Caribbean Shrimp & Filet Sliders. (Originally ordered the Filet tacos, but nbd) Everything is served as small plates, room temperature. Which sounds odd, but it was actually really good. Guac was housemade, along with the chips (super good) Beef was a nice med rare & the shrimp perfectly cooked. Everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. We're looking forward to coming again with friends.

A family favorite for years. The Fisherman's Inn in Elburn, IL is delicious, elegant and friendly. This is one restaurant we go back to constantly when we are searching for a really nice meal. When looking for a nicer dinner or someplace to go for a celebration (birthdays, anniversaries, graduation?) this is it. I say for a special occasion because it is a bit on the pricier side. The staff is friendly and efficient. They handle banquets as well. Our family has held company Christmas parties there for about 10 years and we have always been pleased. The environment is very fun for young and old. There is even a Captain's Table in the silo you can reserve for larger dinner parties -- that was lots of fun! You may walk the grounds on the paths and also feed the fish in the stocked ponds. Feel free to check out the web site for a bit of history on the ponds, the barn the restaurant is in and for directions: http://fishermens-inn.com/

Fisherman's inn was the most amazing experience ever! Not only is it such a beautiful place but it also comes with an even better coordinator Mandy! From start to finish she was unbelievable. She is always sweet, well organized and easy to work with. Mandy is who made it possible to have Bella my dog in my wedding, that was such a big deal since she's such a big part of my family. She really went out of her way to make our day as perfect as it possibly can be. The only problem with this venue was once you are done being married you may never recover from not getting your monthly dose of Mandy! Worth every penny!

Handmade arch my mom made after we found out that it was $200 to rent theirs right before the wedding!

I'm not huge on wine, but I will say that the cab and rose were excellent. Generally, I liked the whites more than the reds. But maybe because our first flight of 6 were all whites and the second flight was all reds. I'm guessing wines 7-12 didn't get a fair shake. The bar service was empty when we started, but picked up quite a bit as we were finishing up. With 2 bartenders, they did pretty well keeping up and being friendly with everyone. Either way, proceeded to the table a little after 7 and had a bunch of appetizers. Again, perhaps my review is slightly biased from 12 flights (I should mention that I did not discard any portion of any of the flights...cuz... why?), but I thought all the appetizers we had were great. A huge fan of the octopus and baked clams. We also had the calamari, which was also great... but I'd typically try to steer clear of anything fried. I had the zuppa di mare and it was fabulous. With the food and drinks (not counting the initial flights), the dinner bill was $140 a couple including a decent tip for the server. Not too bad for al the meal and drinks we ended up having. The server was attentive, helpful and personable. The area and building seems magical....a castle like building with ornate painting inside and wonderful ambiance. And, obviously a vineyard surrounding. There is plenty of parking and it was easy to find... although a little bit of a hike. Even with the travels, I'll be visiting again.

We hosted 175 people and it was a perfect sized venue. The inside of the building itself has large windows (actually sliding glass doors) which let in lots of beautiful natural light, and also nice wood trim. It's a very neutral space that you can decorate however you'd like. The ladies that help with event coordination are very nice and they loved helping us make the event perfect. The club is almost entirely run by volunteers from the community (it's a charitable organization that does so much good both locally and nationally) and they all did a fantastic job. Our guests could not stop RAVING about the food! The potatoes, chicken, pork chops, and chicken wings were some of the favorites. Everything was super smooth and you can tell how much they all care about making your day special. I would definitely recommend Elburn Lions Club for a wedding shower, reception, rehearsal dinner, etc. or any other group event you are looking for (birthday, family reunion, office Christmas party, etc.)! You will not be disappointed! Oh, and my mom just told me that they just finished remodeling the bathrooms and added a bridal room- such an awesome touch!
