We found out about a library book sale so went to check it out, and found a room full of new and gently used items. It was very well organized and everyone volunteering was friendly and helpful. We got several bags of books and even found homemade treats and jewelry for sale to enjoy. Yum! We were given a calendar of all the events taking place in the next months and it was chock full of amazing activities, all that are free to the public. Amazing! Concerts, movies, card making classes, guitar lessons etc This is a must visit site if you are in town and I would highly recommend checking out their free events and getting involved. The volunteers are a huge part of the endeavor as well, so if you want to volunteer this is also a great opportunity. Wonderful part of the community!

They loved shaky eggs and singing and listening to more books. We will come and max out our library cards... so I was glad when I could get library cards for the girls (max physical items you can take at once is 50, max online from Libby is 15 loans and 25 on hold). Now we don't have to worry about limits since we have 3 library cards. The girls love Crafternoon in the summer and the scavenger hunts around the kid's section in the library. We could spend all day here if I didn't have to work. The online selection is really good and allows us to save lots of money on books. We love the library and all our Cedar Bluff librarians!

Walking around I saw students studying, foreign people reading books or visiting, children reading with parents, those without home computers and smart phones using the free computers. The staff are super friendly. Books are available for a 3 week check out with an additional 3 weeks (2x) for a 9 week total borrow time. Call or go in to have your books renewed. The library offers children's activities, story time, and adult reading time. Books and media can be returned day and night at the outside drop box.

From books, to movies to learning materials.  I also learned they have free movie days, dog therapy days, fun activities for everyone. These are just a few of the things they offer. Collegedale Public Library may look small, but it has so much to offer. For $1, you can have access to internet for 2 hours. For .10cents you can print a page. I generally love libraries. It's quiet, stocked, the employees are so nice, and it really is here…read more However, I came to the library for a specific purpose and that was to use a study room to record a speech for one of my classes. It was clean, had comfortable chairs, an outlet, and a whiteboard. The only thing that ruined this was the fact that it isn't enclosed at the top so the large study group next door would have been able to hear everything I said just like I was very aware that they're using all their smoothie and coffee trips and Kroger runs for their class. I ended up only writing my speech and filming in my car in the parking lot. It wasn't even private enough for me to be able to take a quiz or efficiently study. I thought being that it was so close to a college that it would have been a typical study room and be quiet with privacy.
