Hi ..I'm Sonya Dr Moore is amazing. His staff too. Dr Moore…read moreis the greatest. I thought it was gonna be a grueling anxiety filled experience. I was wrong about that. Dr Moore made me so comfortable..even the atmosphere of the office ..the soft music playing in the background..the crisp light air in the room..the television that displays a calm view directly in front of u. Dr Moore is very respectful and he lets u know what needs to be done without making u feel afraid..He actually helps u through it while he maintains his own focus of the procedure. I could sense that he has years of experience By the way he communicates you know that u can trust him right away. Before I knew it 1..2.3..overwith and I felt nothing cause he numbed me real good and the assistant is on point with the suction and assistance. Before I knew it, it was time to get up and I cried tears of happiness because it wasn't what I worried it would be . Don't let anxiety stop you. Go to this office. He is a blessing and professional. 6 stars if I could

Ms. Angela and Ms. Tomika are hero's! They understand people! That shouldn't be hard in the world today but you guys know it's hard to find at any business. They both take the time to make sure my needs are met to the best of their ability. When I was in pain and needed a root canal they told me to come right in and worked with my dentist to make sure I was seen ASAP. They are real with you and I wouldn't have it any other way. Their lights warm up the waiting room! Next onto doctor Moore. For someone like me who has always had dental problems and needed a dentist more than a regular doctor i have had so many experiences. Doctor Moore is truly only of kind. He's my dentist but he talks to me with such great care almost like a dad talking to a son. Coaching me through any procedures and information I need to know. He's makes something as serious as root cancel a walk in the park. I trust his expertise because I know it's not only coming from his experience as great dentist but from his heart as a caring human being. I feel safe, cared for and respected. What more can ask for in this world today. Thanks parkchester l, your awesome

I love how I got a referral here that's 100% useless. I took the referral to 3 different hospitals…read moreover the week. Despite the fact that I explained in those hospitals exactly what the referral was for they all told me that they can't accept it because they can't read the handwriting on it at all.

Not sure where to start, my father (age 71) was referred by a Bronx Dental Clinic in Castle Hill…read morefor emergency oral surgery. The only in-network provider that accepted walk-ins on such short notice was Manhattan Oral Facial Surgery on Grand Concourse. The word on the street is... this dental clinic accepts several walk-ins daily but you need to arrive by 6AM or you may miss your opportunity. Super-thankful for this intel because we arrived at 6:15am and there were already 14 people on line, standing in the rain until opening time. We finally registered at 8:45AM. The receptionist asked for a specialty referral from the referring provider which I confirmed was faxed over the day before. It was clear to me that without the specialty referral in-hand, there was a chance my father would not receive the emergent dental care he required. In my opinion, older patients usually lack the expertise needed to navigate the complex bureaucracies of health care, so the onus is on the providers' office. If you're missing any supporting documentation (e.g. referrals, discharge info) from referring providers then your administrative staff should support this task. After all, you'll need this information to submit your claim to get paid so it would be counter-productive not to help the patients with obtaining these docs. Now to the actual care provided, my father chose local anesthetic for his tooth extraction. The whole procedure was done in five minutes.....Yes, five minutes!!!! Here's the thing, this is patient care, not a pit stop at the Indy 500. My father's tooth was extracted before the local anesthetic even kicked in which makes sense because he told me he felt the entire procedure. This clinic is about flipping patients as quickly as possible. It's like a factory and the dental professionals are an assembly line that focus on manufacturing the perfect revolving door of patients rather than delivering the quality care they deserve.

Then when did find one, there was an insurance issue. When all else fails, go to the best hospital you can find and Montefiore was it for me. Though the dental clinic is a bit out of the way for me, the trip was worth it. I had to do a walk in because the appointments were months away. I arrived at 9 am. Though I found out that doors open at 8. I waited until Noon to be seen. Not that bad if you have a book or your phone to keep you busy. I was first seen by a dental nurse who took my x-ray on a 360 machine almost immediately after registration. The room can get really crowded so be prepared to stand, there are a lot of older people and persons with disabilities so I decided to stand until the rush calmed. I was seen by a general dentist who came in and explained my condition. I needed a root canal. But the infection was pretty deep and I may have to have an extraction. Luckily when they dug in they found it could be saved. I was then seen by Dr. Hwang. She and her assistant were communicative and patient. They explained costs and the plan of care. She told me that we were not going to rush into surgery, just get me out of pain and get things to a better place. I walked out of there feeling like a million dollars* (Not sure cause half my face was still numb). But they set me up with my next appointment and told me that everything would be done in stages. No rush. I felt like once I was face to face I was being attended to and not seen as a number on a very busy day. I look forward to continued care with them.

Trustworthy, caring, thorough!…read more My dentist recommended me to the practice, telling me he'd seen superb results in people with deep periodontal pockets and infected tissue like mine. I knew going in that I had some serious issues; I'd been hearing for years I needed to see a periodontist, but it takes everything for me to get to the regular dentist -- they terrify me. Now, though... it was clear, from the pain in my mouth and just to look at my teeth that I needed serious help. So I went. Everyone is friendly, informative, the vibe in the place is welcoming -- you can tell people like working there. Dr. Cote is very informative and positive. He set me up for deep cleaning to try to treat the problems and said it looked like I could keep my teeth. Yay! First deep cleaning I had a hygienist -- John, I believe -- who was very gentle. Second deep cleaning was Dr. Asuaga, who was thorough; no pain and all went well, but John was perhaps too gentle and Dr. Asuaga was determined to get every last little bit. Alas, it was not enough, which I was expecting. So now it is time for laser gum surgery to manage the problem. Pricey, but... I paid upfront because I trust they will help me keep my teeth. Dr. Cote said this will solve the problem (provided I up my dental hygiene habits and go to the dentist more often), and I believe him. No one was trying to up-sell me. Dr. Cote said if the procedure was one I could not afford, I could go every 3 months and keep up with cleanings while I saved. No pressure to sign on to a procedure my insurance won't cover. The only real vibe I get is that he'd like me to keep my teeth -- and that is what you want from your dentist. I will update when laser surgery is done, but I do not anticipate any stars being removed.
