He loved it, but I had to help him eat it, as we didn't want to leave any of it behind. I had a few mussels the first time in my life and they tasted great. I've not had any mussels since, for fear they wont be near as nice. If I am ever back in the area I am going to make sure we get back to Britannia Shell Fish for some yummy seafood. The guy serving us was a nice rocker dude, who chatted to my partner about the rock tee shirt he was wearing. Turned out, he had been to same rock festival that year. Toveys is a family business and it shows - friendly service and a generation-to-generation passion for seafood is evident in all their signs, customer banter and the beautiful display of fish they sell. They not only supply you and I with fresh produce, but also lots of the restaurants and hotels around the city - evidence enough that this is the place to go. The scallops are plump, the mussels abundant and the mackerel glossy and line caught, the refridgerated section includes an appealing looking selection of game, which includes hare, grouse and venison.
