    Pretzel bites & pub cheez

Cool place to hang out. Beers were ok. Pretzel bites were really good. Big menu with apps, handhelds, burgers & salads. My sandwich and my wife's burger were excessively salty. My daughter's burger was good. Great pub chips, bland ranch. Service is fast and attentive.

Definitely never disappointed when we go here. The food is always prepared very fresh! They only sell their beer which is the downfall why we do not eat here as often as we would like. Would love to have a full bar like most other breweries. We had Lindsay as a waitress and she was phenomenal even given the amount of tables she had! We will definitely be back!

I went to Fish Moon Brewing Company this evening to get a carry-out order. They have not officially opened their doors for dining in yet but they have been doing growlee purchases,, growler refills, and carry-out food recently. I went on their website to place my order and was told my order would be ready at 5:45. I called them to see if I come in the front door to pick up my order and they told me no to drive around back. I drove around back of the building and they had a tent out back with an overhead door open. I walked up to the gal who was at the cash register and she found my ticket by my last name. She said it was going to be a few minutes it wasn't ready yet, I was right on time for my order. I sat in my truck and waited for my order and it took another 21 minutes beyond 5:45. I did see on Facebook a post where the owner was apologizing for the long wait as they work on getting all of their processes down. My order consisted of 12 wings with the buffalo sauce and ranch on the side, the pub chips, chili queso dip, and the cowboy burger and onion rings. The pub chips were nice and crispy just as they should be and we had the chili queso to dip them in. My Cowboy Burger was over-cooked but the flavor was delicious with the bacon, barbecue sauce, onion ring, lettuce, red onion, and tomato on a brioche bun. I upgraded my side to onion rings and they were cooked crispy as well and were the thicker kind not the very skinny ones. So the hubby ate the chicken wings and said they were good and the Buffalo was a little bit spicy but not hot. They were not overcooked and they were good sized wings. When I went up and talked to the gal at cash register I asked about getting a growler filled with beer and they were out of growlers but I thought it was funny she still showed me the list of what they had on tap even though I couldn't have any :) Overall I would really give this three and a half stars today but given the circumstances and the fact they have not fully opened yet I went with the four. I think when they get fully opened this will be a good addition to our fair city of Rushville.

Great American pub food. Burgers, chicken sandwiches, beer cheese, great apps, and if you like beer, lots of great ones made right in house.

We tried several beers and they were somewhat flat. The dark side of the moon did not have any carbonation. The pretzel bites were good.

It can get pretty busy, though, so if you're planning to bring a larger group, I'd recommend visiting during non-peak hours. One of our favorite things is their great pricing on buckets of Sun Cruisers, and we love that you can mix and match the flavors instead of being limited to just one. It's a small touch that makes the experience even better. If you order the wings, don't skip the signature sauce. We've become huge fans of it, and it's one of the reasons we keep coming back. Overall, it's a great spot to grab a drink, catch up with friends, and enjoy the patio. Next on our list is trying the giant pretzel, which is served with your choice of queso or mustard. Looking forward to giving that a try on our next visit!

I personally enjoyed a favorite of mine, a buffalo chicken wrap which was full of delicious flavors and ingredients. We were able to provide drink tickets, and the selection--from ciders to sour beers--was top-notch and well-loved by everyone. The space itself is warm, welcoming, and perfect for larger gatherings. The assortment of board games was a hit amongst our crew. I couldn't recommend Creatures of Habit more--whether it's for events, hangouts, or anything in between. Thank you again! The building sits on the banks of Driftwood River (now called East Fork White River) and offers spectacular views of the famous Robert N. Stewart Bridge in Columbus, Indiana. Upland Brewing Company is a local brewery that started in Bloomington, Indiana in 1998. Now, they have a number of popular restaurants/pubs across Indiana. The building, built in 1871, served as the Pump House supplying water to the city of Columbus, Indiana. The Pump House faced financial, water and quality challenges over the years, but was instrumental in industrial growth of the city. The Pump House operated until 1950, when the city moved to well water. The Pump House served a number of businesses and organizations since 1950. Upland opened the pub in 2016. We were greeted and promptly seated in the bar when we entered. Our server/bartender, Jess, was attentive and friendly. Several other servers also engaged with us, as well. One brought me a fascinating pamphlet describing the history of the building because I was curious. We arrived in time to sample their 3:00 - 5:00 pm Happy Hour. (I love a good Happy Hour.) We ordered Dragonfly IPAs, which went down smooth on a hot summer day. We also enjoyed a couple of sliders from the Happy Hour menu. The Bad Elmer's Fav burger was good with lots of bacon but my favorite was the Hoosier Tenderloin. I should note that much of the food is locally sourced. The building has a large dining room, bar, private dining, private event room, and a fabulous patio with river views. The landscaping is gorgeous. Their signature beers are available for purchase to go along with the logo shirt and a few other logo items. I highly recommend a visit. The food and beer are first class. The setting is lovely and service is attentive.

Matter of fact I'm not sure if I want to go back. We were sat in an almost empty restaurant but that was most likely because of time of day (around 2). Our waitress though took awhile to come greet us. She took our orders and to start off on a wrong foot our 2 cocktails and WATERS took over 10 minutes to come out. I know this because I had a text I had sent and being aggravated I went back and looked at the time when I sent it . Later on our appetizers came out. It was about 20ish minutes after our order went in. Then our food came about 5 minutes after that giving us little room left on the table. I know it was an almost 45 minute wait to get everything. I ordered the blackened chicken which was amazing my first visit a couple months previously but this time it was dry and definitely blackened .... AKA burnt! The manager was checking on the other tables she had with an additional waitress running around so I assume our waitress wasn't the only one taking care of them (4 as seen in picture actually) and when he popped by to ask how everything was he took my plate to remake it. 15ish MORE minutes go by and I asked the waitress if she could check on my food and she said 'well chicken takes a while to cook'. In disbelief I jokingly said I can make it faster at home so please just get mine to-go since my parents were already done and had been done for awhile. We got to-go boxes for their leftovers and my food came out shortly after . We received $ 40 off without asking so I appreciated getting something for 1 1/2 hours waiting in a nearly empty restaurant and no meal. I went home and when I went to heat up my food AGAIN the chicken was charred and extremely dry. I ate the sweet corn farrotto which was atleast good and trashed the chicken. Since it was now dinner time I made my own meal With the time and overall poorly done meal(s?) I had I think I'll avoid it happening again by just going elsewhere. It's a shame because we went here with a party of 8 previously and they did so good. We were honestly thinking this would be our spot for special occasions after that but it's likely not worth it since the manager and chef left us hanging and yet again served something subpar. I'd of hoped they make absolutely sure my simple chicken dish was correct the second time around I didn't take a pictures of food we got unfortunately. Our appetizers looked and tasted good but they were eaten quickly because we were starving by the time they came out around 3 so no time for those pictures either. I was then too busy sending my food back and eating appetizers. Once my chicken came out togo we all just wanted out of there! Then once I got home I was too aggravated and gave up any reason to go get my phone I suppose. Why bother? They didn't bother to make it right after all except to give us some $ off but I still wasted my time that day and again when I got home making my own food . The manager will definitely remember this disaster though

Before I begin my review, I would be remiss to mention those skeptical souls who think of Lil'…read moreCharlie's, not as a beacon of culinary excellence or a palace of palatial pleasures, but a den where dwell the foulest demons of ignorance of cooking. Charles Baudelaire, before whom I bow as a servant to a master, once said "On peut juger de la vertu d'un homme à ses goûts en matière de nourriture". Well, he technically said no such thing, but I wish he would have. Baudelaire would have smited upon the tongue those fanatic cretins who maintain and uphold the absurd opinion that Lil' Charlie's (Heaven banish the thought!) is a bad restaurant. I have heard many of my fellows complain of stomachaches and nausea accompanying a trip to this paradise of cookery. Alas! they exaggerate their sufferings, seeking to blame Lil' Charlie's for their own puerile digestive system. For those who criticize the food itself, I have no words. Indeed, I must restrain my tongue; for no fire burns too hot for them, no poison good enough to scorch their iniquitous throats, no--but I must hinder my rash flow of words: justice makes me speak thus. Now I shall presume to speak of the menu. Presume, because who can hope to accomplish the feat of expounding, in mere human words, the transcendence that is the cooking of Lil' Charlie's? I feel as Dante felt when, looking into the eyes of his lady-love Beatrice (oh! those luminous eyes 'lucent-weeping from the dayspring'!), he laments his inability to capture the beauty of it in words. To use Browning's phrase: "Poor the speech; be how I speak for all things". If Browning stumbles in his speech, what can I hope to say? Nevertheless, I set sail in uncertain waters, trusting that my words may carry me through. The food itself is the platonic ideal of perfection. The pork sandwich, Homeric in its proportions, leaves no hungry waif unsatisfied. The chicken wings come in divers seasonings. Jamaican Jerk? Parmesan and garlic? Classic Buffalo? Lil' Charlie's has you covered. The salads are a pleasant meal in themselves; one cannot eat them without conjuring up images of sunny pastorals or the Ecologues written by Theocritus, where joy-drunk shepherds recite their bucolic verses to one another. I shall go so far as to compare the summer salad to a painting by Watteau. Such is the magical power wielded by the chefs of Lil' Charlie's. The one stain upon the pure tapestry woven by the Muses themselves may be said to be the Father Franz Chili. It was rather too oily and contained NO beans! Absurd! Maddening! All in all, it was still a somewhat palatable meal. I must end my paean to Lil' Charlie's without praising the many other attractive features that lend it lustre. The atmosphere is homey and attractive; the tables are as clean and polished as a verse by Virgil. I blush with shame that I cannot hymn the staff, angels of culinary perfection, as is fit. All I can add is that Heaven shall reward them the highest sphere among its many mansions. And, to you one young man who laments the time it takes to receive your food (you know your name, oh unfortunate one!), all I can wish is for your tongue to cleave to your jaws and your liver to pour forth upon the earth. Let your voice be silenced ever and anon. FINIS
