A doner kebab is served in a pocketed bread, while a dürüm kebab is served with a thin wrap rolled around the same ingredients. I ordered the chicken doner kebab. They accept credit cards. The chicken was somewhat salty (1 star off), but the veggies and sauces were tasty. The bread was buttered and toasted, so it had a nice crunch. The doner kebab was big and messy to eat. I wished they offered a larger paper wrapper. There was no seating, so you have to eat it while walking on the street like a savage or pick one of the dirty street benches out front to camp out at. Dürüm is neater and more portable, so you might consider that option if you're self-conscious. Tip: Grab several paper towels from the counter with your kebab *before* you get sauce and grease all over your face.

So off to the gym I trotted and worked off the yummy food and cheesecake from the Yelp event the night before only to work up a healthy appetite with enough room for one of these 'incredible white dogs' By the time I returned to the market there was already a healthy queue forming. A chap had pushed in so I had to wait about 5 minutes for the next batch of weisswurst. I decided to try the Weisswurst in the style of currywurst. €2.70 gives you a readily skinned and chopped up weisswurst with a side serving of pickle, dried onions, sweet mustard and an oven fresh Laugenbrötchen...that didn't last long, I practically inhaled it... so I was forced to purchase the Bayerische Hotdog version too ;p !!! At also €2.70 you get the same thing in the bun, uncut of course, don't want any little potential mouthfuls falling on the floor do we now! I was very happy indeed. I love weisswurst! The Bayerischer Brunch is a platter of two weisswurst, sweet mustard and a Laugenbrötchen. for €3,80 you can also get a meal deal with a drink too at €4 o r€5 depending on the combo. Maximillian the chap behind this yummy enterprise is lovely and friendly so if you like weisswurst or have never tried one, pop by the market on a Wednesday and I am sure Maximillan will serve it any which way you like!

After reading the other Yelp reviews, I realize that the most confusing thing about Der Fischladen for a first-time diner is that the side shop with the fish counter--the most intuitive place to enter--is devoid of atmosphere. And the other confusing thing? The meal itself. The fish in question was devoid of flavor because I couldn't taste the batter, though it was certainly tender. (A tad too tender, if you ask me though, as I questioned whether it was a little undercooked.) The chips seemed like frozen fries from a local supermarket and the ketchup tasted too much like curry ketchup for my liking, though I saw a later diner request what must've been normal ketchup from the server. Maybe we should just let British pubs do what they do best instead. And to be fair, it seems like Der Fischladen's specialities are actually the fish market on the side and all of the other fish dishes so the verdict is still out when it comes to the healthier seafood options.
