From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming and kid-friendly, which immediately puts both children and parents at ease. The entire staff is incredibly professional, compassionate, and genuinely caring. ALL the Doctor's are phenomenal. They take the time to listen to all concerns, answer questions thoroughly, and provide clear, practical advice. What I appreciate most is their ability to connect with my children, making them feel comfortable and safe during check-ups and vaccinations. The office is well-organized, and appointments are easy to schedule, with minimal wait times. I highly recommend Agoura West Valley Pediatrics to any family looking for exceptional pediatric care. They have created a warm, supportive environment where my children receive the best possible medical attention.

DO NOT let your child see Dr. Weidmen. My son just came from an appointment with him, and it was…read moreabsolutely traumatizing. He gave my son ZERO prep for a nose swab and then very aggressively shoved it up his nose, making my son cry and thrash in reaction. He then used a tongue depressor very forcibly and without warning to do a swab of his throat so aggressively that my son immediately threw up in reaction to it. My son is three years old, and while I understand medical tests can be difficult for them, if the doctor had given me ANY CHANCE to prepare my son for what was about to happen, this could have gone differently. My son was crying, asking what was happening to him, and said he didn't want anyone to touch him anymore. This is not how a three-year-old should feel after a doctor's visit. This type of experience is what makes children scared of Drs. and is completely unnecessary. I will say, outside of this experience, we have loved this practice--especially my son's two primary care providers (although they have both left the practice at this point--sadly). There are so many wonderful doctors and nurses here, but this experience with Dr Weidmen was SO BAD that I had to let other parents know that he should be avoided if possible.

Our oldest hit the teenage years at a speed that we weren't prepared for. After speaking with…read moreparents; reading articles and books; and personal experience, there was so much of the behavior that was "normal" (not to be confused with Good). My concern was in finding ways to minimize the amount of resentment we were building as parents, and finding ways to better communicate and bond, during this VERY TOUGH development time (Lord help us all). I found Teen Therapy Center and reached out. Kent called me and spent an amount of time on the phone with us that I felt exceeded how much time any healthcare professional had spent with us in the past. Fast forward a few months of weekly visits, and although we are far from the MAGIC cure of teenage attitude challenges, I feel confident that all of us are on the same track as far as bonding and building a healthy relationship. As issues come up, we reach out to Kent. I hesitate to text him because (1) I've never been able to reach out to a provider that way (2) I'm afraid he'll find us a burden and fire us. I'm grateful that he takes the time to reach back out to me. The process is not inexpensive, by any means; however, for us, the lifetime damage that we can cause ourselves as a family, far outweighs the financial aspect of this therapy. In Kent's (and the Center's) defense, I will say that he is active in the community, offering free blogs, webinars, events, to serve the community. He is active in trying to find ways to provide more cost affordable services. It is unfair to accuse Kent and his team of being more concerned about money, than of our children's well-being. That is absolutely not true.
