I booked my session on her website, photographybyvanessajane.com, which was very easy to use and provides great examples of her portfolio. Also impressive was her response time - she replied back to me within an hour. Her rates are extremely reasonable as well, and she has many session options to choose from. On the day of the session, she met up with my son, husband, and I at a location of our choosing (The Rhododendron Garden in Federal Way, WA), and immediately got to work! She has the perfect personality to put her clients at ease, and within minutes had my grumpy teenager smiling and laughing! We all had so much fun that our session just flew by and before we knew it, our time was up. Within 2 weeks, I received an email from Vanessa with the link to the finished pictures. I LOVED the results!!!! Each picture brings a smile to my face. She captured the true essence of my son - that smiley, loving young man that hides behind the salty, moody, grunting teen that normally lives in my house and eats all the food. I am having a hard time picking my favorite picture. Still not sure which one will win out and go out to the relatives and into the yearbook. Needless to say, she did a fantastic job and I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Vanessa!!!

Angie is definitely a saleswoman and is passionate about photography. I signed a contract for a booking for a work photo. My employer decided not to pay for the booking. I ended up with cervical cancer and never completed my session. Sometimes, you have to lose money to learn not to sign contracts. It is not uncommon for photographers to have non refundable retainers. My biggest complaint is communication. It was difficult to reach someone via phone. Emails are usually returned within 3 days.

They were both awesome, I had never done anything like this before and did not know what to expect. It was great! I got to the studio and got my hair and makeup done, which was so fun to be pampered! Then mike went over what to expect from the shoot and showed me some pictures of other boudoir shoots so I could visualize what it was going to be like and what the typical poses were. Then he asked to see the outfits I brought with so he could plan backdrops and props. There was a bathroom to change in and at first getting into the outfits was uncomfortable, but once he started taking the photos and showing me the pictures I got more comfortable. He was very professional, if I needed privacy while changing poses he would go to the other room and then come back in when I was ready. He tries to give as much privacy to make you feel comfortable. Going into the shoot I thought it was going to be weird and uncomfortable but it was so much fun! It was such a confidence boost and it helped me feel comfortable in my own skin. Mike and Karen made me feel comfortable and beautiful it was way more than I expected going into the shoot. The photos turned out amazing, Mike was so prompt with getting them to me so I could pick out the ones I wanted and the communication was easy and fast over email.
