Having never hired a photographer before, it was all a bit overwhelming, especially in the wedding space as there are just SO many options. Before meeting Jenny via Skype, my now husband and I had a conversation with another Seattle-based photographer (also by Skype as we were doing all the planning remotely from Oregon). While this other photographer had a really nice portfolio, we left that lackluster conversation feeling very....meh. Very...discouraged. Then... **Dun dun da dahhhh!!!** Enter Jenny on her magical steed of friendliness, creativity, responsiveness, obvious talent and warmth. She immediately understood the kind of photography that we wanted for our wedding day - FUN! As I explained during that first conversation, we are not the "groom kissing bride's forehead at sunset in a field" kind of couple. She also asked about things we liked to do together and what we loved about each other, seeming genuinely interested and curious about us. Jenny has a knack for making you feel relaxed and free - catching the tiny moments between moments beautifully. We spent about an 1.5 hours before our ceremony galavanting around the streets near our venue for our couples photos. Jenny had previously scouted the area and took us to some awesome nooks that I never knew existed, including a super bright fuchsia wall of an apartment building that I just loved! Following all that, she orchestrated our family portrait time well, even with our two crazy families all over the place. While being the utmost of a professional, Jenny just seemed to blend into the party the entire night. Many of our guests commented about how great Jenny was. Our wedding was on a Saturday night and by Monday evening Jenny had already sent us some teasers, which were all AWESOME and I cannot wait to see the rest! I highly recommend Jenny as a wedding photographer, but heck just for any sort of photography needs you may have!! Jenny is simply wonderful.

She is incredibly experienced and intuitive about light and color and is very warm, welcoming and fun to work with. She helped me choose wardrobe from the things I had brought, chose complementary backgrounds and directed me expertly for the most flattering shots. After the shoot she quickly pared down the shots to a few dozen which we went through together in order to find the final three. The entire process was smooth and easy and under an hour total. Within just a couple days she had gently edited the photos and emailed me a download link. Super simple and quick! I am not especially comfortable having my picture taken and was apprehensive about the appointment but it was an absolute joy and I couldn't be more happy with the images we ended up with. Thank you so much, Jenny!

I wish I could give Tami 10 stars! Where do I even begin...my childhood friend who lives in Olympia…read morerecommended her. I live in California but she said Tami was totally worth visiting for, so I planned an entire family trip around this photo shoot. I had low expectations because the other photographers I've used for engagement, wedding, and other family photos were either not professional, not on time, or didn't have great photos. Tami was AMAZING from the get go. I reached out to her via email and she responded promptly and with lots of info and examples. Fast forward to our trip, on my way out to her studio my 20 month old had an insane allergic reaction to a snack I gave him and he was covered in hives and difficulty breathing. I was 2 mins away from Tami's studio, and was alone at the time with no cell service, so I rushed to her house and she totally calmed me down as I was freaking out because I was so worried about my toddler. She was so kind, patient, and caring. She didn't rush us or anything. My toddler ended up being fine, and she got him to go from crying and breaking down to calm and playful. He's also insanely shy and she actually got him out of his shell. Her photos are sooo wonderful and they were above and beyond anything I ever expected. Thank you Tami for being such a wonderful resource. She was totally worth the trip to Washington.

We just got back from our honeymoon to a full set of edited photos (as promised), plus extras and a slideshow!! While the quality of the photos is outstanding, what truly sets Mariah apart is her personality. She is perhaps the warmest, friendliest person I've ever met...and was fantastic and easy to work with. She coordinated well with our other vendors, including helping sew up the timeline with our day-of coordinator to accommodate several tweaks here and there. On the day of, she even helped ease me through some of the more emotional moments with her gentle and reassuring words! Mariah really went above and beyond to make us feel like we were her only clients, and that personal touch is what made our wedding day experience as special as it was. (Not to mention, her pricing is extremely reasonable too!!) We are so happy that we chose Mariah to capture our wedding day, and I would recommend her hands-down to anyone!!

We made first contact and arrangments via email and she was always incredibly friendly and professional. She has flexibility and client appriciation that we did not find with any other photographer (We spoke to probably 10 before deciding on Mariah!!!) The day of our wedding Mariah was easy to communicate with and was actually waiting for us at Golden Gardens. She worked fabulously with our officiant and witnesses. The day was super windy so it was a relief to have her calmness and direction to make sure we had beautiful pictures to remember the day. Ohhhh and she even saved the day with bobby pin for my not so wind proof hair. She delieverd our photos in two weeks as promise and with a really beautiful slide show to boot. Her talent is an comes at an incredible value. Our photos really caputred the day and the love my wife and I have.

Robbie and his team are the best in the area. I originally saw him on a sponsored post on Facebook…read moreand decided to contact him as I fell in love with his style of photography. Robbie called me the same evening and we talked for awhile about my goals, dates, and what he offers with pricing. He was super personable and made sure everything was clear. I ended up booking him for photography of my wedding which included engagement session. During the engagement session, he was so funny and made both husband and I feel comfortable. This created genuine candid photos of us laughing and being playful. With new photographers, it's always scary and may feel awkward but Robbie made everything so effortless. I don't remember the turn around for receiving the photos but it wasn't anything crazy and reasonable for how busy his scheduling is. For the actual wedding, again, Robbie was on time, interactive, and made the guests and wedding party comfortable. He brought an assistant with him to get every possible photo we could dream of and let me tell you, the photos are all AMAZING. All Robbie kindly asked for was a plate of food during reception. How could you not provide that to him & his assistant when capturing the most special moments and there for 10+ hours that day. Due to getting married during July (the busiest time of year for weddings) I believe the turnaround for photos was a few months. The anticipation killed me but so worth the wait! Robbie and his team throughout the process of everything was great on communication, transparency, and really making sure you receive photos you absolutely love. I even recommended him to a couple in my wedding party who were getting married and they booked him with no hesitation! If you truly want someone you can feel comfortable with and photos you want to show to everyone 24/7 then book Robbie!

Booking Robbie was the single biggest mistake we made in our wedding planning…read more We hired Robbie in January 2024 for a fall 2025 wedding. At first, he was professional and responsive -- offering tips, ideas, and fast replies. But after we paid the deposit, our experience drastically changed. Robbie offered a complimentary engagement shoot with our package, which also included a planning meeting. On the day of our scheduled meeting, he was a no-show. When I texted him, he replied, "I knew I was forgetting a meeting! I'm at a friend's birthday lol," and called us from the event. He seemed distracted and rushed through the call. He then suggested rescheduling the shoot due to weather concerns. Since we were flying in from California, this meant rearranging our travel, rental car, hair, and makeup -- at our own expense. After making those changes, he later admitted he had double-booked, and we needed to revert to the original date. After the shoot, it took several follow-ups to receive the photos. He gave vague excuses and claimed he "thought" he had emailed them (he hadn't) -- the same excuse he previously laughed about using on another bride. He also shared details about being behind on edits and personal life issues, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. When we finally received the photos -- four months later -- they were not up to the standard we expected. We chose to redo the shoot with another photographer, which caused delays in our stationery and added unexpected costs. Ultimately, we decided not to move forward with Robbie for our wedding and notified him over six months in advance, which we believed met the terms in the contract. He disagreed and demanded the full remaining balance. After a series of tense messages, I let him know I would be consulting legal counsel, at which point he ended communication and stated, "contract is terminated." After posting this honest review, I received a message from Robbie threatening legal action if I did not take it down. Rather than take responsibility, he attempted to intimidate me into silence. I've reviewed the contract carefully and confirmed via legal consultation that I met my obligations -- including canceling with ample notice and never disputing the non-refundable deposit. I have every right to share my personal experience, and I stand by what I've written. Vendors who respond to valid criticism with threats instead of integrity reveal exactly why the criticism exists. In summary, this experience was unprofessional and disappointing. Don't let his portfolio fool you -- the experience isn't worth it.
