Every team member demonstrated this compassion; from the bathing aid (Ronnie), nurse and case worker (Anastasia), social worker (Sandie), Admissions Director (Gaza), to the Bereavement Coordinator (Nathan). Please forgive me for other team members that I didn't have the honor of meeting in person but I thank you as well. This team constantly updated me on my dad's condition and made sure I was well informed as to what to expect next. I don't know how the owner (Joey) accomplished such a feat of finding an entire team with compassion, but I am thankful that he did. We never had a need for supplies or equipment, and when a team member made a suggestion for different supplies or equipment it was immediately executed. I had a good experience with another agency in my city but the caregiver they provided couldn't move to their OC location. I did a quick search and found Comfort Keepers. It's always nerve-wracking to choose an agency you aren't familiar with, knowing you will be stepping back and letting someone else support your loved one. Having a stranger in your house is something to get used to and not always an easy transition. From the first meet and greet with Karen and Chelsea I walked away feeling that they had a genuine concern for my father, and also my mother, who also would be in the home with him. My father has 7 day a week support and it's made such a difference in his health, wellbeing, and demeanor. He considers his "helpers" as family and hasn't had an odd fit yet. The staff is communicative when there's a sub or a change, and we're able to communicate scheduling updates easily via the phone or their website portal.

I urge you to carefully consider this before contracting with any hospice provider. Unfortunately, our experience with Faith & Hope made an already painful situation even harder. In April 2025, my mom suffered a massive stroke. She was placed under Continuous Care (CC), which meant she required critical, around-the-clock nursing support. We were told her case would be re-evaluated after three days. However, the care was stopped in less than 24 hours and we were given only 4 hours' notice that services would be discontinued. At that point, it was clear our needs no longer aligned with Faith & Hope's philosophy of care. We scrambled to hire private help on extremely short notice. That night, my mom was in significant pain & experienced agitation. She needed her medication adjusted and an increase of the dosage frequency to help manage her symptoms. The next day, we made final attempts to Faith & Hope to reassess mom's eligibility for CC, even though the on-call night nurse, when we asked, did acknowledge that we were free to seek another hospice provider. We waited all day for a response from Faith & Hope, but heard nothing. Faced with another evening without adequate care, we transferred my mom to a different hospice. They gave us the right care without hesitation. Sadly, our mom passed away only 4 days later. The only positive experience we had with Faith & Hope was with Nurse Theresa. She cared for my mom with compassion, dedication and a true commitment to patient advocacy. Theresa's thoughtfulness and support helped guide my brothers and me through an incredibly challenging time, and for that we are deeply grateful.

When my father-in-law went into the hospital in critical condition and then transitioned to comfort care, we weren't sure what we were going to do to about where he could pass. He was not able to return home and we live in San Diego far from the community who would want to be near his bedside during this sacred time. Then, they told us about this hospice house. It was smack dab in the middle of Tustin where his entire community is. He was in his own room. Everyone that came in introduced themselves to him, even though he couldn't respond, and told him what they were going to do to care for him. They provided snacks, beverages, and a separate sitting area for families when taking a break from the bedside. They allow people to sleep overnight to be near their loved one. No restrictions on visiting. A volunteer came and sang to him. A chaplain visited and prayed with him. They've offered to make memory bears out of his shirts. It was really a beautiful place for him to be. We are so grateful and appreciative.

We had tried other places and by far and above, Silverado was and I'm sure still is superior. We have moved to be closer to our daughter and I'm so thankful Gene is again in a loving environment, however, Silverado is a role model. It needs to be said, also, there are wonderful walkways, courtyards & outside dining (& just sitting) and residents freely walk everywhere. Beyond refreshing. Drawback? It is costly. It was worth the sacrifice. Will it be right for everyone? I'm sure not. But it was for us.

I was grossly disappointed with Care Choices' Hospice service. To start with, their contract and…read moremarketing materials are materially misleading, and internally inconsistent, in terms of the care that they actually provided. Their representative rushed me through the sign-up process without any clear explanation of the services that they were going to provide. Specifically, their communication to the parties involved (Assisted Living, the attending physician, and me) was vague, ambiguous, inconsistent, and confusing at a time when job descriptions should be crystal clear. It is Care Choices' responsibility to coordinate care and especially to make sure that "their" patient is being properly attended to. Hospice services are not just to provide a hospital-style bed and a wheelchair. As a direct result of Care Choices' lack of clarity, the Hospice service was waiting for the attending physician to treat, the attending physician was waiting for Hospice to treat, and the family was waiting for the patient to receive necessary care on a prompt basis. As it was, the patient's care was overly delayed, which caused the patient medical distress and the family members completely unnecessary emotional distress.
