About 30 minutes of praise and worship before a children's lesson that the whole congregation is precut to, then a wider sermon. Long prayers. Decent coffee available. Friendly folks. Although Baptist is not my sect of Christianity, I appreciate this cute little church family.

It was perfect for my aunt, who liked things that are naturally beautiful. From the wood floors and trim, to the balcony, and the stunning wood beamed ceilings. I found out that the church has a very strong structure; it was still standing after a tornado a few years ago. On to the ministers: their sermon was so heartfelt and genuine. Their speech brought out my loved one's personality. They were reassuringly humble and empathetic. They spent a lot of time with everyone. I was amazed at the hospitality! They had volunteers bring tons of delicious food, lemonade, and tea. This place is a treasure for sure!

There were tornados in the area that night and they checked us and made sure we knew we were safe. Being from California and not used to that type of weather it was reassuring that they made us aware and kept an eye out for our safety. We actually stayed there twice this year.

Hotel is currently being renovated but the grounds and rooms were clean and maintained. The room was a nice size with a fridge. Located right off I-40 with easy entrance to the property. Laura, check in clerk, was very personable and polite with a "friend" feeling. She made sure that I had all needed information and where I could park my truck/horse trailer. I passed up several hotels due to unpleasantness and rude clerks while trying to book a room on the phone and so glad that I did. Upon checkout the following morning, the owner also had a great southern polite attitude as well; welcoming, genuine concern by asking about our stay and thanked us for staying. *I would definitely stay here again with or without my pets.

Bagby Gathering Place was the absolute perfect venue for the Landrum Family Reunion!…read more Camp Landrum was a complete success, thanks to Renee and Peter, who went above and beyond to make our family gathering special. The grounds are beautiful and spacious, giving the kids plenty of room to run, play, and explore from one end of the property to the other. Fishing was a highlight for both the kids and the adults, creating fun memories for everyone. We loved having everything in one place--the kitchen, bathrooms, and camping areas. The versatility of the venue made it ideal for our large family reunion. There was something for everyone. My only suggestion would be to add more cabins since there is currently just one and it would be a great addition for larger groups. Other than that, it was absolutely amazing. Wonderful hosts, beautiful property, and an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend Bagby Gathering Place for family reunions, retreats, and special gatherings.
