First, I would like to say that every staff person we met at F&F was so nice and accommodating…read more Very responsive to all of our needs and did everything with a smile. We were in building 105 which had five bedrooms and four baths. We had about 14 people from several different families and this was a perfect setup for us. Very large common area with several tables and many chairs. Various sized bathrooms with a mix of tubs and walk-in showers. One room had a king size bed and the other four each had two double beds. It was right across from the pond and disc golf course which we liked. Just a short walk to the pool and Soda Steve's restaurant. The water was hot and showers had good pressure. A/C worked well. We liked the property's gift shop and little game room with the ping pong and foosball tables. Having said that, I'm not sure we would return in the future. As many have mentioned in the reviews the "resort" has not aged well. Our building was musty and outdated. Many things were bent or patched together. Some of the blinds did not shut, handles were loose, light bulbs needed replaced, light fixtures had a few bugs in them and the exterior was shabby and poorly managed. The cooking items in the kitchen were just a hodge podge of items. Many windows had film on them that obstructed the view. Three of the rooms had floor to ceiling wood paneling and were very outdated. You got the feeling the friendly staff cleaned as well as they could but were having a hard time keeping up with the older property. Building 105 is located right next to an abandoned looking private residence. For $1200 for two nights you really expect more. The skating rink was a concrete floor in a building that was not air- conditioned. The hot tub jets worked but the heater was broken. There was no internet or wi-fi. There was a TV but no cable and channels were very limited and this was pretty disappointing. We were disappointed as well that there were no queen beds but only double beds. The rooms certainly could have accommodated queen beds. We all agreed that the quality of the place was the level of a Motel 6 or less which is a shame since the property is really laid out well and has a lot of potential. Hopefully an investment in funds can someday bring this place back to what it used to be.

The Rowe Family Center is an event space at Okmulgee First United Methodist Church in downtown…read moreOkmulgee located in a separate space from the church sanctuary. There is a large private parking lot and plenty of parking spaces just along the side of the event space as well. There are nice big restrooms and a nice size kitchen space as well. I recently attended a birthday gala here and the space worked wonderfully. It was beautiful and the catering staff did an excellent job taking care of the guests and the space.

Then out comes ol' Frank, proudly sporting his Dallas Cowboys hat that looks like it's been around since Staubach played. Extremely nice couple trying to hang on to the place these days it seems. The wife said they sure could use the business, and I'm all about supporting a place like this. Not that I needed a reason...the price is among the lowest you'll pay anywhere, and you just cannot get this built-with-my-own-two-hands charm at some chain spot. The room I'm in is quaint, wood paneling and you can tell it was built by caring hands and maintained by the same all these years. Clean room, plenty of nice clean towels and get this--two full size bars of Ivory soap. 2 sinks, nice soft king bed, fridge TV microwave, dresser, just a nice cozy place that you'll never see at some cookie cutter chain motel. The Mrs. (wish I had gotten her name) told us to be sure to make it for breakfast, which I'm certain will be excellent. Don't pass this place up. Disclaimer: they don't have WiFi. But I still say it's well worth staying here if you can live without it.

We hiked, fished (brought our own gear), kayaked (hosts had 2 kayaks), played giant board games/corn hole/Connect 4 (all provided at the location), and had a wedding reception at the pavilion. All the employees were really nice and it was reasonably priced. It's an older hotel, but our room was clean and cute. It was a very quiet and peaceful stay. This hotel is close to Highway 69 and Lake Eufaula State Park. Right across from the hotel is a gas station. We highly recommend this hotel!
