I had a deeply concerning and unsafe experience with the service department regarding my Volkswagen…read moreTiguan. I brought my vehicle in for a diagnostic due to a high-speed vibration. I suspected a CV joint issue but made it clear I was not certain, which is why I happily agreed to pay for a diagnostic. After drop-off, I was called and informed I would be charged a double diagnostic fee, with only half applied toward any repair. The vehicle was taken into the shop and I received findings in well under two hours, which raises questions about the legitimacy of the fee. I was then quoted additional thousands of dollars for coolant and oil system "leaks". When I asked whether these systems were pressure tested for leaks, I was told no and that the recommendations were based solely on visual inspection. I have no errors/lights and no measurable loss of fluids so I denied the additional services and proceeded with the CV joint replacement as intended. The most serious issue occurred at pickup. As I pulled out of the dealership parking lot, the skid plate immediately detached from the bottom of my car and flew off while driving, creating a serious safety hazard. I am extremely fortunate no one was behind me. I retrieved the skid plate and returned it to the service center within minutes. The technician and service manager admitted: - The skid plate had been removed during service - Screws and washers were missing - I was not notified of the missing hardware during the diagnostic or at pickup - The vehicle was released anyway, knowingly with missing hardware Instead of replacing the damaged part or properly reinstalling it, the service team zip-tied a broken skid plate back onto the vehicle and refused to replace it. I was told that "you don't really need it anyway" and that I should have known parts were missing because I brought the car in for a specific issue. I am not a technician. I relied on a certified VW service department to identify safety-critical issues, notify me of missing hardware, and return my vehicle in a safe condition. Releasing a vehicle with an improperly secured underbody panel after removing it themselves is negligent. This experience showed a lack of transparency, accountability, and basic safety standards. I would strongly caution others before trusting this service department.

Worse service ever. Appointments mean nothing. Waiting 5 hours for an oil change while listening to…read moreservice personnel tell customers it takes 1.5 hours to get the service completed. I will definitely be looking elsewhere for my service needs. Richard G.
