Leslie called him and said that the pool pump was not a free installation and that was a mistake -- which is quite a lie as the pool pump itself has "free installation" listed under the part. This was later verified, although Leslie said it was a "marketing mistake" and after numerous calls to management and corporate, they finally agreed to do the installation. The installer refused, saying he didn't work for free (Leslie should be paying him in this case). After numerous additional calls to the store and manager the guy said he would come out, but the store now said there was a $40 "travel fee" for the installation. AGAIN, after numerous calls to the manager and corporate, they said the $40 was for gaskets and would have to be paid by my son. Ok - my son was willing to pay that. The installer gets there, tears it apart, and said that there was a stripped screw that would have him break the impeller to get it out and the cost now jumped to 370+ dollars. AGAIN, AGAIN, after numerous calls to the store and corporate, they got it down to parts which now totaled about $173 or so. My son didn't like this at all but agreed to pay it. Then the installer said that he needed a reverse-threaded screw that the store didn't carry. He told my son that he would have to order it and when it came back in, he would come back and install it. My son called the store and guess what? They had it in stock. My son told the installer and he said, "that it was too late and he had to come back later to do the work." The installer is a liar on top of being an arrogant SOB which tells you what my son thinks of Leslie Pool Supply right now. Now, he has to take time off on Monday/Tuesday to be there when the installer chooses to return and finish the installation. If this sounds like the kind of Pool supply company you want working for you -- you can have them. See the picture below for how the installer left my son's pool.

The concrete crew led by Lorenzo was also very nice and accommodating. He worked alongside his 5 man crew and everything was done in 2 days. The crew worked hard and quiet and was very neat along the way. And a big plus for the dependability of Tony and also Lorenzo.. they showed up when they said they would. I've been dealing with these folks for months trying to get the equipment fixed on my pool that was damaged in the May 29 storm in Talty/Forney area. Their "30 year veteran" technician has come out to my house on multiple occasions leaving my equipment in various states on UNUSE for weeks at a time. Zero communication with the management staff as to why. I had to be the one to communicate with that. This past month, my pool pump was left in pieces while I was on vacation because "they didn't assemble it" and my pool went not running for the entire week. Now, I am fighting Alge as a result. There is another component of my pool (6 way floor port jets) that has been broken since May 29, and they keep saying they "fixed it". It still leaks like a cive. They kept saying it was an o-ring seal. THE HOUSING IS CRACKED AND THAT IS WHY IT IS LEAKING. They charged me hundreds of dollars for repairs that has resulted in my pool becoming more damaged than what it was. The final straw is when they sent me yet another invoice for $211 after admitting to me (in writing that I am KEEPING for possible small claims court) that their technician screwed up and they are taking responsibility for his malfeasance. Then when I wrote to them that I was not paying for it and if they insisted on perusing that invoice, I would take them to small claims. They sent me a final email saying that there was no need for me to get "ugly" and to never contact them again. (I HAVE ALL THIS IN WRITING). They want to see ugly? Fine, here comes all the bad google, yelp, FB reviews and everywhere else I can post it. I plan on calling small claims court and asking them to pay for damage done to my pool since they accepted responsibility of their technician's actions. Ugly....you got it Sunshine Pools.

Edited to show reply: I fail to I understand what being from a warranty company has to do with the fact that you didn't keep the appointment that you made. You made a commitment to provide a service. You failed to honor that commitment. For someone to respond to a review like this shows what a horrible business person you must be. I really don't think someone could be arrested for a comment on YELP. Maybe you don't understand how laws work. Maybe I will forward your response to the authorities as well. I will be forwarding your comments to the warranty company though. Hopefully you will get no further work from them. Maybe if you had answered the phone when we called, you would have made good on your commitment. He was timely, professional and cleaned up after himself. He took the time to explain it all to me and gave me some reasonable options on repairs vs replacing parts. I had this pool built 16 years ago and have had many pool service people out over the years but I'll tell you, Joe is my guy from now on!
