I'd give 3.5 stars if I could. Had Pastor B actually performed our ceremony, I'm sure it would have been absolutely fantastic. He also performed a mini-counseling session for us a few months before the wedding, which was really, really nice. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, Brandyn had to call in a replacement just three days before our wedding. I found out in response to an email I sent the day before the rehearsal. While these things happen, it was more than just a little disappointing to learn that the substitute would not be able to make it to the rehearsal dinner. I was promised he would be given all of Brandyn's notes about us, and to expect a call from him. We chatted briefly later that evening, and I felt pretty much 100% reassured. However, it seemed pretty obvious that little was done to fill Pastor Al in: - My first name and our last name was either incorrect or pronounced incorrectly; this distracted us (and our guests) right from the beginning; - The ceremony was religious to a near God-fearing level; definitely did not follow our wishes; - I had mentioned that I was going to have a reading performed in Polish and English, and the Pastor could only comment on how cool "that language was" after it had been done - clearly he had not been informed of certain details and it was so painfully obvious how little he knew about us. The ceremony was definitely still very beautiful and joyous, but I just wish the transition could have been orchestrated a bit more professionally so that I didn't have to respond to "Darina" instead of Daria the rest of the night. Pastor Brandyn Simmons officiated my recent wedding ceremony and he was amazing! My husband and I are NOT religious, but we wanted a beautiful ceremony done by a professional - and Pastor B delivered. We only met with him once, but we immediately got along. He returned any and all of my emails and phone calls quickly. When we met, we let him know a little about our relationship and how we came to be engaged, and he managed to write a great ceremony. He's funny too! Pastor Brandyn made sure our ceremony went smoothly, and unfortunately he had to leave immediately after - but while he was there, he kept both of us calm, and kept things on schedule. He injected enough religion into the ceremony to prevent our grandmas from crying over their rosaries, but not so much that it made me and my husband cringe. Thank you Pastor B!! read more

Had a good initial experience with Pastor B., but subsequent meetings were not as good. He had down the wrong time twice for follow-up meetings, which we never ended up having and when we connected on the phone, he was always doing something else, resulting in us repeating ourselves numerous times and details being lost in the shuffle. Still, we liked his personality, message and price so we decided to retain him. But he canceled less than 24 hours before our wedding giving three different excuses to three different people as to why. The excuse given us, while awful, meant he could have canceled a few days earlier, saving us the stress of having a replacement minister (which he did find) and not having anyone present for rehearsal. Since we received similar excuses from two other vendors within 24 hours of our wedding, it's hard for me to believe any of them. Also, since my follow-up was deleted, I need to make this perfectly clear... the excuse he gave is the exact same excuse given in one of the other reviews. Fishy. read more

I cannot recommend Pastor Brandyn enough. We just had him officiate our ceremony this weekend and he was fabulous. I was a little nervous because we only met with him once prior to our wedding and it was a good 4-6 months before the wedding. From that meeting, he developed a rough outline of how our ceremony would go and we waited until pretty close before the actual day to plan the details. The wedding went without a hitch and everyone commented about how great Pastor B was. He was well spoken, had a great ceremony planned and we couldn't have asked for anything better. He is inexpensive, effective at what he does and you don't have to worry about how your ceremony will go. I will be sure to recommend him to anyone getting married. read more

We just had Pastor Brandyn officiate our wedding this past weekend. Wow! He did such a GREAT job!! We only met with him once before the ceremony but he was so good at keeping the communication going until the wedding. I had asked him to keep it light and funny but also a little religious. He delivered! He had everyone laughing which kept my husband and I much more calm. When he did the readings he really sounded like he had known us for years and sincerely cared. We used Pastor B for our wedding in June 2011. Like the previous review, my husband and I aren't practicing Catholics but wanted a Catholic type ceremony. He told us exactly what to do so that he did not have to do a rehearsal with him and helped us figure out readings and that kind of stuff. We met with him 2 times, which isn't necessary but it's just how we like to do things. Our guests are still talking about how wonderful of a ceremony it was and how great Pastor B was. I have given many referrals for him to our friends and family. read more

Brandyn was amazing to work with. We originally met him out in the burbs and were over an hour late. We felt terrible, and he didn't care in the slightest. During our consultation, he listened, wrote everything down, and blew me away when his phone rang while I was talking and he didn't even look down to see who it was. That's when I knew he was the guy. He kept us up to date as the date approached and helped with the planning. The night before the wedding, a fellow officiant of his passed away and Brandon came to us and said that he would have to cover for him at another wedding at the same time as ours, but would only be ten minutes late. He was a man of his word, and ten minutes past the time, he showed up pressed and dressed. Brandyn us incredible and we enjoyed working with him tremendously. Pastor B did a wonderful job for our wedding back in Aug!!! We were coming from out of town and were very nervous about not knowing any pastors in the area. Pastor B showed up on time and let us personalize our entire ceremony!! He was very personable and well spoken. I would highly recommend Pastor B!!!! read more
