The technician had problems installing it and it has always made a scary POP when I use the door. Being a busy single mom, I just didn't open that door and moved into winter. I opened it this spring and the opener broke my garage door. I should have called sooner but I thought there was a warranty on the work and that the company would stand behind it. Several hundred dollars down the drain, I wanted them just to take the opener with them. Frustrated.

With the rollers and spring replaced, we had a new garage door opener system installed four days later and we were set. They are really good about keeping in touch with what is going on and called before two of the appointments to see if we were home as they were running AHEAD of schedule. Great service! Hoping we won't need to call them any time soon, but when we next need garage door service, we'll be calling Ace!

I rarely write reviews at all, but I felt compelled to write one for Summit Garage doors. I…read morerecently had the cables on my garage door come undone at one of my rental properties. I called and was able to schedule service within 24 hours. They identified that the cable issues resulted directly from a spring replacement job done poorly a few months prior (Different garage repair company). The previous company had also left other parts of the job incomplete. Summit was able to offer a low-cost solution for repairing it. After beginning on repairs, another issue was discovered that would require more significant repairs. Summit offered to fix it up to the point where it could potentially last for years to come (although no guarantee) for no charge at all. This company cares about helping people first and foremost. Most companies would only propose options in which charging for repairs is necessary, even when simpler/cheaper fixes are available. The customer service I experienced was world class, and I would encourage anyone with issues reach out to this company!

I have written a few negative reviews for products and services I have received, but this is a…read morepositive review for the best service I have ever experienced. Matt Hanks, the owner of Summit Garage Doors, installed springs on my garage door over three years ago. Recently, the springs broke, so I contacted one of the large commercial firms to obtain a quote. Their estimate for replacing the two springs was $1,600. I then called Matt, who came to assess my situation. Although the springs were out of the standard warranty period, Matt believed they had broken prematurely. He replaced both springs at no cost to me and even declined to accept a tip. I asked him how much he would have charged me if this had been a first-time service call, and he informed me it would have been about $400. The difference between Summit Garage Doors and the competition is that Matt operates from his home, while competitors drive trucks adorned with graphics and provide their employees with uniforms. As a result, Matt's operating costs are significantly lower. I highly recommend giving him a call for any garage door needs. When Taylor was 20-30 minutes from getting to us, he called me at 5 after 5 to let me know. I appreciate the promptness in the phone call. Upon arrival my husband, Taylor and I got to talking about our garage door needs. Initially we brought Jolly Goat out for the possibility of maintenance for the current door we have. After assessment we asked for an estimate for repair and new door. After hearing the cost for repair to the current door, it was decided we will be getting a new door instead. I appreciate the time for them making the drive out at our request. At the end of the appointment, Taylor got the final quote and other documentation sent to my email and measurements completed, so they could get the door ordered as soon as possible. With spring comes spring cleaning and we are looking forward to getting this new door, as the old one is dented, rusted, springs busted,etc... If you are looking to start spring cleaning and your garage door has more creaks than two 48 year old men getting off the couch, give Jolly Goat a call today, it will be the best decision you make for your garage door's health.
