Three years later, I can confidently say we made the right choice. My daughter has been attending since she was two and will be graduating this fall to go to Kindergarten. The growth we've seen in her has been incredible. I truly feel like Sunshine House has set her up for success. The teachers are so warm, supportive, and genuinely care about the kids. They were especially helpful during big milestones like potty training, which made a huge difference for us. Both of my kids absolutely adore their teachers, which says everything. I also love that they offer onsite electives you can sign up for--it's such a convenient and fun addition to their already strong program. Another thing that stands out is how they rotate rooms and toys to keep things fresh and engaging for the kids. Overall, this school has exceeded our expectations in every way. My kids LOVE it here, and we feel so lucky to be part of this community.

I'm also very impressed with the school's activities; each day has a different theme, and the kids do activities based on the theme. We are also sent a schedule of the following month so we're aware of what the kids are learning. Some of the days encourage (easy) dress up participation so it is fun for the kids to be involved. While the school doesn't offer lunch, they do serve breakfast and snacks. They also provide nap time mats and cubbies. As a parent, I particularly love the communication! The teachers sometimes leave notes about my son in his cubby so I can read about fun things he does throughout the day. They also post pictures and videos on social media (you can opt out) throughout the day, if you want to see fun stuff the kids are up to. Finally, we found it to be one of the more affordable preschools in the area. We plan to attend Sunshine School until it's time for kindergarten!

From day one, Karla welcomed my son and family with open arms. Even with my son's speech delay, Karla along with all the staff instantly made me feel comfortable, and reassured. Things I love about Kidz Planet: The meals and snacks that come with the tuition. Summer Camp is a must. My son looked forward to water day when it was on the calendar. They are thoughtful with applying sunscreen on your kiddos when it gets hot. The school throws festive events and they have a ton of preschool spirit. The buffer to drop off and pick up is helpful with unpredictable work hours. The brightwheel app is my daily dose of dopamine. I love looking forward to photos and videos of the kiddos. Sadly, my son will be graduating in May. We are sad to leave but grateful we invested this stage of his development with Kidz Planet.

She's formed such strong bonds with so many of the teachers and staff--too many amazing people to name without leaving someone out! The entire Kidz Planet community is nurturing, welcoming, kind, and full of joy and learning. Our daughter absolutely loves going to school and seeing all of her friends. Most importantly, we've seen her grow in countless way, including in confidence, curiosity, and happiness. I could go on and on because we are literally so happy with Kidz Planet and our daughters' development and experience there. A perfect 10/10! She'll be transitioning to TK in August, and while we're excited for what's next, we're genuinely sad to say goodbye to such a wonderful place. Thank you, Kidz Planet, for everything!

Our child began attending Concordia in kindergarten and four years later, they are thriving!…read moreConcordia is everything we could hope for in a school and a community. The teachers are caring and invested. The Montessori curriculum gives the child ownership and responsibility for their own learning with guidance from the teachers, while allowing room for playful curiosity. The school also places a focus on social responsibility, so my child isn't just getting an academic education but a social education as well: learning personal responsibility, learning to interact with mixed age groups, to problem-solve through conflict resolution, and to contribute through acts of kindness at school and at home. The school is delightfully "dumb" in that devices and online learning are not a part of the lower grade levels. The kids are taught cursive and write out most of their works. Homework is not introduced until the third grade level. And I love that kids have the option to work in the way that suits them best, whether that's on the floor, sitting at a desk, or standing at a table. They can work with a friend, or work alone in the quiet room to aid focus. The school understands that every kid's learning process is a little different and helps set the kids up for success. We feel so fortunate to have found this school that is so caring and inclusive of families of all races, ethnicities, gender identity, family structure, and/or socioeconomic status. In addition to feeling like the right learning environment for our child, we are so grateful to have found this community and be welcomed into it. We will be so sorry to leave after 6th grade!

We looked at many preschools before deciding to enroll at Concordia and we haven't looked back. From preschool all the way to sixth grade, this is a special place where the teachers and staff care about each and every child's academic and social development. It really feels like being part of a big family. The school just celebrated their 50th anniversary - they have been around so long that my husband went to the school when he was a kid! Its great to be a part of a long-standing community. Who knows, maybe my grandkids will go here some day!

Decades later, my own son attended preschool and kindergarten here (2023-2025), and seeing him experience the same warmth and joy meant so much to me. This school is genuinely one of a kind. The farm setting creates such a peaceful, nurturing environment that you just don't find at traditional schools. Children get to learn while surrounded by nature, animals, and open space, which makes learning feel natural and exciting. One thing that really stands out is the classroom environment. Many preschool and kindergarten classrooms can feel chaotic, with bins of random toys everywhere, but that's not the case here. The classroom is bright, calm, and inviting, filled with carefully curated and beautifully organized Montessori materials that encourage focus, independence, and purposeful learning. The Montessori approach really works. By the time my son graduated kindergarten, he was already reading confidently -- but even more importantly, he developed independence, curiosity, and a real love of learning. The teachers and staff create a caring, respectful community where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow at their own pace. It's rare to find a school that stays in your heart for decades, but this one truly does. I feel incredibly grateful that both my son and I were able to be part of such a special place.

The teacher to student ratio is much lower than public schools so students receive much more individual focus, plus the lessons are curated to each individuals needs. This really set our older daughter to be advanced when she moved on to public school. Our younger one is a bit more of a handful but is also excelling in this environment and learning program. It's a huge bonus having the farm aspect where they learn to garden, feed animals, and get a more balanced indoor/outdoor learning experience. He enjoyed the play based learning environment, the large indoor and outdoor spaces and the amazing, caring teachers. Our family truly cannot say enough good things about this school. Not only did my son have fun, but he was really prepared for kindergarten. He is in kindergarten now and performing at a higher level than some of his peers and I know that it is due to his preschool education. There are four teachers and I really feel that the low student to teacher ratio is important in this stage of learning. Being in a great school like this for two years helped my shy son blossom into a confident kiddo who enjoys school. It's evident that the teachers really enjoy their jobs and do great work with the kids. Currently my youngest son is attending preschool here and enjoys is as well! This preschool is also wonderful for the great community that it fosters. There are a number of family and parent only nights where you get to know the other families. Parents are allowed to volunteer in the classroom and get involved in so many ways. I highly recommend this preschool!
