I told her she could really do anything to my nails, but she still consulted with me about basic things such as color, vibe and shape. I ended up LOVING my nails, a basic nice neutral color with a classy pop of fall fun. She is creative, warm, friendly, and very knowledgeable about all things Alchemy. Not just services, but products, color lines, and ingredients! I saw Christine for my massage-- and she's out of this world. She works your muscles very hard if you ask nicely, and will get any kink or incorrect knot out of your back or shoulders in no time. The best service by far though, was my facial from Erin. Her derma-plane skills are the best I've ever seen. My skin came out SUPER soft, zero hairs left. She has great attention to detail and caters every step in the service to you, and your skin. Her custom selected masks are really great, and the cooling mask was my favorite part. She also gives really good hand massages, which are included in the facial! She's skilled, sweet, helpful, and very informative about post-facial steps to take. Overall I give Alchemy 5/5 again and again!

She said I'd make a great redhead, but that wasn't my goal; she talked me into highlights (some of which begin 1 - 1.5" down the hair shaft) and a glaze. She started applying highlights, but had the receptionist finish them. Marta came over and said she was having someone else cut my hair so she didn't have to rush me color (?). Long story short, I felt rushed and like an annoyance. The glaze is already washing out (had this done 4 days ago), I can't put my hair up now, and the color is not even close to what I really wanted. I'm embarrassingly conflict-avoidant, but I spent over 200 dollars for messy color and a cut that I hate. I wish I had known that I would be passed off between staff and stylists and my hair goals dismissed. I expected more from a premier salon. I haven't let anyone at the salon know I'm unhappy because I don't want anyone there touching my hair again. I can't stop thinking about the money I threw away. I saved for 2 months to be able to get my hair done. Beware.

All stylists I've seen there really take their time to help you find what works for you and looks good on you. They are happy to discuss time, effort, budget, and other factors that go into your style/color. I've gotten haircuts there, color, styling, and have taken my daughter to get her hair cut. When getting shampooed they give a relaxing head massage and then wrap your hair in a nice hot towel before cutting/coloring. Complimentary bang trimming. They also offer different hair products you can purchase. Going there after COVID, they are following all safety guidelines and have appointments appropriately spaced out. They all three came back to me stating an employee had asked them not to touch anything. She told them "girls you don't need to look at those things, that for older girls, leave it alone." Valid- they're young, but it could have been delivered in a kinder way. I decided to go with them so they could look at the brand they wanted to check out without any issues. My 17 year old was looking at the same brand as we approached. The employees who had previously addressed my younger girls immediately approached me and rudely stated "this line is for mature skin, these girls don't need to be looking at it. It's ticktock famous but they don't need to be looking at it." I was shocked. My 17 year old then told me the same employee had told her to also leave the products alone. First off, I would never bug a 10 year old $70 face lotion. Second, nor would I buy young girls a line of products made for mature skin. But, they can look. And I would have purchased some of the items for my 17 year old. After that, we got what we absolutely needed and left. Bottom line- I understand people steal and young kids make messes, but all information can be delivered professionally and, most importantly, in a kind way. Not a great way to get customers to spend money. In less than 5 minutes that employee had told 5 customers NOT to make a purchase and was incredibly rude. The highlights he put in were subtle but really "popped" and for the next month (or more) hardly a day went by that I did not get a compliment on my hair. Neil really listens to what you want for your hair and also tactfully offers creative suggestions and tips. He is also a wonderful conversationalist and when he offers you a cup of tea, it feels like you're having a good visit with a friend, although he is very professional as well. His prices are appropriate for the great service. When you find a stylist like Neil, it feels like you've struck gold or won the lottery. I'm glad he's chosen Terre Haute as his home base.

I have naturally blonde hair, I dye it a chocolate brown, so Im constantly getting my roots touched up. The stylist who did my hair put the color on my roots and instead of letting it sit she pulled it threw immediately to the rest of the hair, I knew she didn't let it sit long enough on the roots and I knew they weren't going to be dark enough. She ended up having to dye my roots THREE times, by that time they still weren't dark enough I have patches of blonde throughout my hair, and you can still see where the color changes from where my roots were grown out. When she went to wash the color out of my hair she literally burnt my scalp to the point I had to jump out of the chair almost, and don't get my wrong I love hot water! She was very aggressive throughout the whole time I was there, jerking my hair really hard, brushing down very hard on my sore scalp, she actually burnt my head 3 separate times while washing my hair. My hair is now damaged and broken off in certain areas. She gave me her card and said she would fix it if I came back in the following week, when I went back to the salon they said she no longer worked there. I ended up talking to the owner who said she would get it fixed by one of the other stylist, she never called or attempted to fix the horrible situation that happened at her salon. I'm horrified at the experience I had Cache Lauren, as a business owner myself I would never let a customer leave unsatisfied without trying my best to resolve the issue. I now have to pay another stylist back here in Florida to fix what her salon did. Overall poor customer service, poor quality stylist, poor ownership. I will be sharing my experience with everybody. Learn how to run a successful business, how embarrassing.
