This place is disgraceful. I didn't see the doctor until 9AM despite arriving to an otherwise empty waiting room at 7AM, while the staff sat in the next room. I received a positive strep test and got nothing more than a prescription for antibiotics despite my sobbing in extreme pain and being completely unable to swallow. I called back later that day to request a letter excusing me from classes. They refused to fax it so I had a family member pick it up for me a couple hours later. It wasn't ready and they made her wait nearly 2 hours for a pre-written form, which turned out to be useless anyway as it had the wrong dates on it. Unprofessional and entirely useless. read more

I tried to be nice to dr. Robles in the beginning of my physical and just ended up giving her an attitude as well... Seriously entitled, disrespectful and rude no blood work was done and well she'll just ask you questions to infer that you're dumb when all you're trying to do is be rather safe than sorry in terms of your health. Aside from Robles being a satchel of baby dicks the two staff members there where actually really nice though! I've been a patient there for 4-5 years. Usually pretty good. But my prescriptions for BP, Cholesterol and a water pill ran out three weeks ago. I called to have them refilled, as I just had blood work in April so it shouldn't have been a problem. They never called it in to CVS. So I called again. Again they said no problem, we'll call it in. Again they didn't call it in. AGAIN I call, and after calling three times, they tell me I need to schedule an appointment. I went today, and the little Asian Dr. said I need blood work. I tell her I just had it done in April. And this obnoxious little bitch told me I was lieing!! So finally she looks it up. Yup. I had it in April. Then she says I have to have a physical. I told her my physical wasn't due till October. I told her I pay for every visit due to my high deductible plan. And if I wait till October, it would be fully covered by insurance... You know what this obnoxious little bitch said?? She said, " That's not my problem"!! Well, she's not my problem anymore, because I told her I'm not comfortable with her anymore, and I'll be finding a Dr. that actually knows their patients history, one who realizes we're not there just to get gauged for money. Several times myself and my immediate family have had to re-visit because visits are rushed and condition or illness is not addressed properly. When you call to speak with MD, NP, PA automatically they ask for another visit. Charging multiple co-pays as well as insurance charge. Finally, they have the nerve to balance bill. I am so disappointed I could cry but where would it get me.. besides being out of $100 because I have no insurance.. Went to CFH on 3/5/19 because I wasn't feeling well.. Had Flu like symptoms, but wasn't tested for it. Was told I had fluid in the ears and a sinus infection and was prescribed Flonase and a ZPak.. Today, 3/7/19 was feeling even worse, I knew something wasn't right so I went to see my fiancé's doctor, who tested me for the Flu and guess what?! Came back positive!!! I won't put the doctor on blast but she knows who she is.. I am so utterly upset, I trusted you to take care of me and you brushed me off like I was just a fool. I also asked for a refill on a med I take and was told it would be an extra charge for that?!?! To REFILL MY MEDS?! What? So because I couldn't afford the additional charge, I couldn't get it refilled... Thanks for helping a patient out who's been going to you for years!!!!! Now that they're under Robert Wood Johnson I guess us little, uninsured pheasants don't matter.. and FYI, you can paint the walls a new color but everything else is still a dump.. I love this doctors office. All the doctors and nurses are very sweet. I love coming here and I live really close by. The only thing is the wait time. If you are a walk in it takes a while for the doctors to see you even though sometimes you are the only one in the waiting room. When you do have an appt the wait time is still long. And I don't understand because you only see the doctor for 15 min max. So idk why everything takes so long. Besides the wait time I love this place. read more

went to Clark 1st Health for a refill on a blood pressure med that they have been giving me for at least 2 years. Since I don't have insurance at this time I paid $100 as self pay. I had to wait over 1/2 hr and when Dr Robles-Galves came in she said she couldn't exam me unless I paid which I told her I did as self pay. Then she went off on a lab for my diabetes which was not the reason I came to the office. She again she said I could not be examine without stick test for diabetes. I have worked for family practices and know a stick test for diabetes has nothing to do with my blood pressure. I finally had it and asked for a refund which I got. This place just want to do tests to rack up your bill. Go someplace else !! read more

I have used Dr. C. Fernandes as my primary doctor for years but I never really liked her bedside manner, she is not friendly and hardly looks at you when she walks in. She makes you feel like you are an inconvenience to her. I love Dr. Paola and now she is no longer there!!! I used to make my oppointment for when she would be there. Great facility ! Clean and bright. Front desk people were quick, professional, friendly. Nurse took my vitals, fielded my questions. Dr. Mathias examined me, explained my options, sent my prescriptions to the RiteAid a block away. Couldn't be happier about this place. I got in the waiting room at 8:30; at 9:30 I was walking out of RiteAid with my prescriptions. One hour for paperwork, examination, consultation, drive to the pharmacy, pick up and pay for the drugs. I visited this center yesterday (Saturday 10/7/17) at 4PM after my boyfriend insisted I go to urgent care after I slipped on the carpet and fell down half a flight of stairs yesterday. I have herniated discs in my lumbar spine, that through yoga, chiropractic care, and daily doses of Advil, do not give me any pain on a day-to-day basis, but he was concerned that the fall could have aggravated my discs. I visited the Edison location at first, and because there was no X-Ray technician on-site, I was sent to your Clark office instead. After filling out paperwork on the Phreesia system, I was escorted by Jason into the examination room, but I was appalled at the bedside manner of both Jason and the HCP who examined me (a short Asian woman with salt & pepper hair). Both Jason and the HCP asked me - before Jason performed any vital checks and before the HCP examined me - if I had been drinking and if that caused my fall. Aside from hobbling due to the tenderness in my back and legs, I was showing no signs of intoxication nor had I consumed any alcohol in the whole week prior to the accident. I said to the HCP that if they really thought I was drinking, she could test me if she wanted to, and she then said to me, "It doesn't matter because it leaves your system so quickly, which is why it's called alcohol". This is actually not true based on the rates that alcohol is metabolized by the liver; I teach a Responsible Drinking training course to the associates at my organization, so I know this topic very well. The conversation felt very accusatory, which I did not appreciate because I was physically in pain, and because many accidents can happen without the influence of alcohol. The HCP poked at my lower back and tailbone, asked me to squat once, and then sent me for an x-ray of my tailbone. After an initial look of the X-Ray, she then prescribed me Ibuprofen, told me to sit on a donut pillow, and told me to get Icy Hot. All of those things I could have and would have done without coming to Urgent Care. I expressed my concerns about the fall aggravating my herniated discs and told her specifically that I did not want Oxycodone or Percocet (which I was prescribed for pain after the accident that caused the herniated discs in 2011), but that I felt I did need something other than ibuprofen because I take that daily. Her response was that something like Tramadol or a muscle relaxer would just make me dizzy, and I was rushed out of the center. I felt like I was being talked out of what I know I needed based on my current condition, and I'm not sure why. My boyfriend walked me to the car, and I had a question about what I should do if the pain gets worse even with the high dose Ibuprofen. Rather than have me walk back to ask that question, he returned to ask the staff what we should do. However, despite it being before the closing time of 5PM listed on your hours of operation on the door and online, the doors were locked and all the lights were off. Everything about this visit felt rushed, I don't feel my needs were met or even properly discussed, and I really did not appreciate being accused of drinking by multiple members of your staff. I understand that I came in at 4PM when the center was closing within an hour, but I would think that patient care should be number 1. I could not sleep last night, and this morning, the pain is not in my tailbone at all - despite your HCP insisting that's what needed to be treated - but rather I'm getting intermittent shooting pains along my spine and a feeling of cold and numbness in my lower back, so I will need to return to an urgent care facility or an emergency room. The fact that I have to pay a co-pay or deductible, which I know I'll have to do by law, for this level of care is absurd. I'm also very disappointed, as I've been around healthcare professionals my whole life. I've volunteered in hospitals, I've worked in retail pharmacy, I've worked for a pharmaceutical organization, and even health coached at a medical facility. My mother is also a nurse, so I know what good care looks like, and this is not it. read more

I live in Clark and only use Clark First Health for emergencies. For that, it's great. I had a sinus infection, which they quickly diagnosed. They asked all the right questions ( current meds, health history, etc.) Fast, convenient treatment. They called in the the prescriptions to the RiteAid down the street and I was home recovering in an hour. The doctor was thorough and skilled. I've seen the waiting room crowded, but they move the patients through efficiently. The hours are great - early morning to mid-evening and open every day. read more

The doctors are good and I have never had a problem with their care. The worst part of this office is the wait time! Takes forever for them to call you back (when there's only 2 people in the office) and once your in the exam room there is another long wait time to see the doctor ...
