Your Floor Store was highly recommended by a good friend for my large flooring project including…read morethe kitchen, living room-dining room combination, stairway landing and hallways (upper and lower). The job required removal of old laminate, old LVP and installation of the new LVP. The new flooring was placed over the hallway and kitchen existing tile requiring leveling from room to room. Early in the project there were issues with the leveling and I offered to pay extra for the additional leveling cement. Despite the additional leveling, I am left with significant uneven flooring. The floor is so uneven in the dining room that I had to placed extra felt pads on the chair at the head of the table to offset the unevenness as recommended by the store owner. The problem is when you move the chair with additional pads to a different spot, that technique does not work. In the corner of the room, there is still at least a 1/2 inch gap between the chair and the floor even with the extra pad. I believe that this job should have been done by a more experienced professional. An experienced floor installation professional would have known what to do in this situation and most likely would have recommended a step between the hallway and dining room or would have done a more gradual leveling with the cement. I would also recommend that the owner pay more than one visit to the jobsite to make sure the project is going well and the installation is done professionally. Smithtown, NY
