The name of the company is not important... the names Kylie Croker and Kyle Bonnington are. I had a negative experience with London Area Bathrooms / Kyle's Tiles. This story is hard to believe that so much could go wrong with a company in such a short period of time I included references and links. The TLDR version of this is that this is the quality of work we received and were billed $14,400.95 for this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Pmyt0ex9JJ-VIEifEXdPn4axe1Ls_1d4/view?usp=sharing They have refused to refund our deposit and have stopped responding. We hired a legal firm and they did not respond to their or our letters to them. Long Version: I had signed a contract with their company to renovate 2 bathrooms, they took our deposit, and signed a contract, and refused to finish the job. We walked through the house and talked about the work to be done. We talked about the work the plumber would need to do to repair the stack. I was given their website and shown photos of work Kyle said he had completed. The website I was given, londonareagroupofcompanies.com, no longer works. Saved version of website homepage: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XQNVDzHph5hpz5W9iwjLeqqe0h9Uh7Ab/view?usp=sharing Shared version of the page on their website showing their work: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1W1TSIVuAFng_B2WSp7JUqztVAhsVMZzf/view?usp=sharing I should have noticed that Gallery was spelled wrong, but Kyle was showing me the photos on his phone and I did not notice it. Here is one of the photos on their website that they claimed to have done: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1H92Mjd1-aDA6JXASc1xRlLarI66tbhsA/view?usp=sharing Here is the photo on a different website: Bathroom Remodeling Los Angeles | Bathroom Remodel Contractor (trigbuilders.com) https://trigbuilders.com/services/bathroom-remodeling-los-angeles/ The original author of the photo is probably this one though: Green Renovation Group Inc - Home (facebook.com) https://m.facebook.com/greenrenovationgroupinc/ When I address this with Kylie Croker later, she claims: "As far as our photos, for quality and SEO purposes, our website developer uses shutterstock photos that we pay for the right to use (as many companies do) We wish we knew this prior to signing the contract with this company as we would have avoided them. Kyle Bonnington also told me that their company is an established company, and has been in business for years. They had an experienced crew, including drywallers and laborers. They had a plumber they use and told us the amount to fix our stack would be $1500 to $2500. Their website also states "Our trusted and experienced crew works efficiently and effectively to guarantee absolute satisfaction". Bathrooms.pdf - Google Drive I was told a $3,200 deposit would be due in order for them to start working. The remainder would be due on the last day working on the project. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AjdVkQLQ_7zDLh2QJfPw4evF2jdOMGZG/view?usp=sharing I asked Kyle Bonnington about the time frame of this project and I was told his crew would start on Tuesday and be done on Thursday. I told him I needed an actual quote from his plumber and would like to speak with him to avoid any confusion. I signed the contract with Kyle and then the issues started occurring. The plumbing costs had increased to $3,800 and there was not a clear explanation of what the cost was covering. I had asked for a quote from their plumber outlining the work to be done. This was not provided. When we talked to their plumber, I had learned that he had never worked with this company before. It was the first quote he has ever given to them. We had received other quotes regarding the plumbing work required to fix the plumbing stack. I decided to go with one of these quotes instead to fix the plumbing. This was because we had met this plumber and he had seen the job and provided us a clear breakdown of the work to be completed. The plumber was scheduled to be there on Wednesday. The day after Kyle was to start working. This was done to ensure the necessary work was completed prior to the plumber arriving. Kyle arrived late on Tuesday, by himself, and did not stay long. He did not complete the required work prior to the plumber to start working. Kyle told me he would arrive before the Plumber Wednesday and remove the toilets and open up the section in the downstairs wall exposing the plumbing stack. Kyle wrote on the wall where he would be opening the wall. He was also supposed to talk to the plumber and tell him where the drain and water lines were to be installed for the downstairs vanity... The one thing that really stood out to me is that they were willing to make 5 trips to my home in the course of this: 1 for the initial quote;1 to sign the paperwork (as in, they let us think about it and came back when we were ready!); 1 to do a confirming measure (I really liked that they did that!); 1 to install the windows and doors; one to finish the job. Please note- each trip would have been approx 90km EACH WAY! Thanks for being so great! We are very satisfied with this experience.
