I felt safe when touching the truck, sitting in the truck, as well as having a conversation with the driver of the truck complimenting him on his service. The battery had died, and although it would jump start, the vehicle was in 'limp mode' and not safe to drive that distance. A driver from Davidson's (Mauricio) arrived to tow the vehicle. Mauricio was very congenial, but obviously not well trained. Since the vehicle had been shut off while my wife and two of her co-workers waited for the arrival of the tow truck, Mauricio was going to jump it again in order to shift the vehicle out of park and release the electronic parking brake. Mauricio discovered that the jumper box on the truck was dead, so he hooked up a pair of jumper cables to the Mazda which immediately caused large sparks and smoke to emanate from the engine compartment. He stated that wasn't normal, and ultimately had to manually place the shift lever in neutral and drag the car on the ramp with the parking brake engaged. Unfortunately, the car did not get delivered until after midnight on 9/23, and we did not discover that there was damage done to the electrical system of the car. Not only were there five small fuses blown, but a fusible link bus bar that supplies 12V to the entire car was irreparably damaged. This required several hours of diagnostics, parts replacement, and clearing of a multitude of error codes to make the vehicle operate normally. Further, when the car was delivered, the driver had to "slide" the car off the rollback ramp due to the electronic parking brake not being able to be released. This is accomplished by putting sliding blocks under the rear wheels. Unfortunately, he began to apply the blocks to the front axle, and when I asked what he was attempting to do he asked if the car was rear wheel drive. No, it is front wheel drive, but the sliding blocks still need to go under the rear wheels as that is where the parking brake actuators are on virtually every modern vehicle manufactured. Again, the driver was very congenial, but very young and obviously in need of further training by management. I even tipped him and engaged him in conversation about the mechanical aspects of front vs. rear wheel drive vehicles, which hopefully will help him in the future. To reiterate, we did not realize there was electrical damage to the vehicle until the next morning. I called Davidson's Towing at 909-800-3131 on 9/23 and spoke to a gentleman named Frank. He stated I would have to call back on 9/24 and speak to "Kevin". I called on the morning of 9/24, again speaking to Frank who stated Kevin was unavailable but would return my call shortly. I waited until after 5 p.m. on 9/24 for a call back, but unfortunately it appears customer service is not a strong suit of this company. Unfortunate. A simple phone call would have done wonders. AAA will be notified and at this time I cannot recommend this business.

Y'all need to create a better process for scheduling new customers and train staff on better…read morecustomer service because if I wasn't so patient and my situation wasn't urgent (or "not a priority" like staff told me), then your responses could really adversely affect those in crisis. I resold a vehicle through Peddle and was paired up with Roy's to handle the tow and payment issuance. The platform makes the initial process relatively easy and you're able to select a date and various scheduling time blocks with me choosing 11am-3pm. I felt the staff was initially pretty responsive but comms became spotty or even borderline rude as my appointment time drew closer and closer. I understand that emergencies come up but I didn't like being given vague or different etas whenever I followed up or having staff overpromise time availability only to be told later that they would no longer be able to come by until after 10pm. This is on top of already having a designated time slot that they should've adhered to or even rejected to begin with. Because my storage unit was not open past 10pm but I still needed to move my vehicle out that week, I decided to reschedule to the next morning. This is in addition to me having to drive from the OC on both days! Though I still experienced a small delay at first, the actual tow itself was pretty standard and the driver was transparent about where the vehicle was being taken to. My overall impression was that staff may be inclined to be more attentive if you were in a severely critical situation but I had a pretty frustrating experience given them being short-handed and not communicating consistently/reliably which led to loss of trust and affected duty of care.

Nothing but good things to say about this towing company…read more Long story short, we were screwed over by LQK Pick-a-Part pickup service and needed someone to tow our car to their salvage yard immediately (we live in LA and had spent the day there waiting for them and they royally messed up our appointment.) We called L&L last minute at around 4:45 and needed to be there before the place closed at 5:30. This tow company responded immediately. The woman on the phone was incredibly pleasant, which made all the difference, and a truck got to us within 15 minutes. It took the guy about 5 minutes to get our non-running car loaded on his truck, and he managed to get to LQK a few minutes before 5:30. They were also very clear about the price before they arrived, which was lower than I expected. Though LQK still screwed us once we arrived, I'm giving serious props to L&L for making it on time and being very nice and professional. They really did their best to save the day and I would recommend them to anyone who needs fast towing!

He offered to sell her a battery. He failed to secure the hood on the Jeep so on the freeway driving to the dealership it was dangerously flapping so she had to pull over and secure hood. DANGER. The driver was unprofessional and unkind. Driver said to call AAA again if she wanted a tow truck which is what she requested initally. Will be contacting AAA to report the incident. Thankfully she made it to the dealership despite the dangers this driver exposed her to.
