Quite the busy little corner store. We were in town helping my friend's aunt. We literally went to this store every single day. Such a great store with all the things you need. However, the bakery is top tier, delicious hand made, fresh baked goods. We got the hand pies, you need to pick a couple of each type. I had cherry, pumpkin, strawberry. So delicious. Walked in you had to walk through a gate to get in. Asked where the restrooms were i wad told you had to get the key from the first cashier who was the only cashier open. With a long line ahead of me I chose to leave instead. But you couldn't because every line had a strap to keep you from going through. My husband not being the patient type just took one down. Very expensive place to shop. $7.00 for a pint of ice cream. $3.00 for a pound of frozen broccoli. This is a small town not Rodeo Drive.. plus no shopper rewards. Safeway ice cream pints are only $2.50. The bears are cute outside of store. read more

It's a fairly decent store with a nice bakery and freezers that work. The clerk at the checkout was nice. They have a good selection of goods and groceries (albeit a bit high in price) so why only 2 stars? Well it comes down to caring about the safety of their customers and community, they do not require masks nor clean their carts. Plenty of responsible wearing masks and a few jerks without. As of tonight the state makes masks mandatory again but I won't be back there to see if they comply. read more

A recent camping trip to nearby Lathrop State Park led me to stop here to stock up the camper with victuals. I found the selection to be very good, the produce was good, the place was clean and well lit and the people were friendly. they even feature a small sporting goods section and a thoughtful selection of small items to accommodate those in RV's and Campers. All prices seemed to offer good value. I read a few reviews online while researching the area. I have to say now, either conditions have changed drastically at this business, or those previous reviews were needlessly harsh. Or perhaps big city visitors to rural small towns harbor a less worldly set of expectations? I recommend this place. read more

More aptly named last choice! Stopped to get three sandwiches and use the restroom. Forty five + minutes later we were back on the road with sandwiches on a different bread than we asked for-which was stale-and no one who could find the restroom key. Yesterday I went to get cigarettes and a roll of quarters. They didn't have a carton of my brand but had a lot of loose ones. I asked if he would sell me 10 loose ones as a carton. He said no. I'd have to pay the individual pack price. REALLY!!! That's insane. So I asked for 3 packs and a roll of quarters. He said I had to go to customer service for the quarters. So I paid for my cigarettes and walked 10 steps to customer service and they refused to give me quarters because all I had was my card. They told me that the register should had given me a cash advance on my card for the quarters. This pissed me off since they watched me go through the line and didn't say anything about it. They were ten steps away. They knew what was going on. read more

This is a very nice grocery store. We just needed a few things for camping and were able to find everything we needed. The bakery is really nice with fresh doughnuts (I am not talking about the kind that arrive frozen and warmed up and glazed) these are fresh made. They carry name brand groceries, the store is clean, shelves are well stocked, and the employees are courteous. Yes the prices are higher than Walmart's, but give them a chance. Generally this is where I shop for most of my food items. Never had any real issues, small town prices but what do you expect. Servicr is good, lines move 5 times faster than at Safeway. But I NEVER I repeat NEVER buy meats here. That ground beef may look red and fresh and pretty on top, but as soon as you get it home and open it you'll find the gray colorless crap they hid in the middle. read more

I have been shopping here for about a year. I have had multiple problems and never complained. Today was the last time I will set foot in this store. The checkout lines are usually long. You have to be very careful of what you buy, a lot of the stores products are out of date or very close to it. I have made several purchases of things (cheese, yogurt, ect) that I didnt realize were out of date until i got home. The prices have rang up different from the prices on the shelf multiple times. Today, I purchased cheese on the shelf for $1.79 that rang up $2.55 and also a 20 count bag of lays chips $6.79 on the shelf that rang up $8.79. I don't feel like making a scene especially with shoppers behind me waiting to check out. The only thing I have found that attracts me to t his place is the gallons of drinking water are 69 cents each but you end up paying more for it in the end. read more
