A relaxed vibe in here (except on Saturdays!) where you can exchange money and book excursions and other things on top of planning and booking a holiday. Super easy to pay up all holidays, simply jumping in to pay off a wee bit more at a time up until 3 months before your departure date. Booked a holiday from here that was the backdrop to our wedding and it was amazing. We didn't have a great time with travelling, and when we told them about the specifics they were shocked and immediately got on top of it and fought our case with the parties involved on our behalf. Happiness.

I'm planning a holiday to NYC this summer and the rates here are second to none if you hold a matric card. New York for 279 quid! A serious bargain as a cheap flight outwith student travel is aroud 330. And with San Fran being only 369 its also worth a visit to the west coast of the north american continent! Round the world flights are also offered from 689 pounds with a flight from every major continient and a select flight within each one as well! Definitely the place to stop by if you're planning a trip with your pals or heading solo. You won't find cheaper!

The Virgin Holidays store in Glasgow (within Debenhams) is small but the staff know what they are doing and will assist with anything that you need for your holiday in order to make your time away as special as possible, maybe even some Virgin exclusives. The store is always clean and I've never had to wait to be served, unlike other big name high street travel agents. You will pay more with Virgin, but I'd rather pay more and get a better experience than pay less and loose out on something on the few days holiday that we look forward to, and plan for, for so long. We've been paying up our holiday every month, the staff have always dealt with the payments without any issues and it's great to see a confirmation e-mail coming through as well as being able to see the remaining balance on line. So overall, great customer experience, great product, sometimes exclusives but expensive compared to other high street travel agents

The staff are very helpful, and they will offer to not just book a flight, but search for accommodation, and cool muscle cars to hire to pick up from the airport over there. You can't miss this place on Gordon street. They advertise on the window as they are proud to show off how miles better than the competitors they really are. I used them loads, and never been let down.

Particularly people I don't know…read more Even more with people who are getting paid to sit behind a counter to work for a large organisation with branches all over the world and CEOs who frankly couldn't care less that you are relying on them to do a good job handling the most important decision you will make in your life. There are times when such dependency is unavoidable. Like purchasing a mortgage. Or plastic surgery. Or, in my case, a once in lifetime trip around the world. There were so many decisions to be made on issues I was clueless about. Like whether or not to start my trip in China or Japan or which is best; travelling by bus or train round the USA. Thankfully I was served by a man in this branch of STA who knew exactly what he was talking about and so much more. He guided me in the right direction every step of the way, with such enthusiasm you would think he was planning his own trip. In times like that, all you can do is take a leap of faith. Thankfully, I got lucky and, thanks to STA's help, had the trip of a lifetime.
