True Story: I had to use a passport and go through customs to get a haircut here…read more People (including the people at the border) thought I was crazy. I don't care - It was TOTALLY worth it and I plan to continue the insanity every time I need my locks trimmed! If you have curly hair you know the lengths a curly girl will go to for a good haircut. I have received one too many bad haircuts in my life to take any more risk with my curls. Luckily, even though I have to go to a different country to get a cut, Jennessa is not too far from me. Jennessa has the cutest curly-centric boutique on the face of the earth. One shampoo bowl, one cutting chair, one drying chair and walls filled with curly hair product. Basically my dream place. I have been addicted to devacurl products (the line Jennessa uses) as well as the whole curly girl method for about 7 years now. I have had cuts in Chicago, NYC and Michigan. My experience with Jennessa was BY FAR the best. Jennessa has taken it upon herself to become the curly hair guru of Canada. I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to sit in her chair. I learned so much from her and she was wonderful to speak to. You truly can feel how passionate she is about curly hair and helping everyone discover their inner curly girl! A haircut with Jennessa is not just a cut - its a lesson, an experience. I learned so many new things during my appointment. I feel like a brand new curly girl! Jennessa cuts curly hair like it should be cut - dry and curl by curl. She is also trained, certified and an educator for http://www.devacurl.com/. After my cut I am not only sporting a super cute refreshed look but I feel like my curls got a whole new life (after some product suggestions that she gave me). If you have curly hair I understand not wanting to be crazy like me and going across the border all the time for cuts - but do it at least once. Learn about your curls. Get a lesson from the master. You will be so happy that you did! (she does book up very quickly so plan in advance!)

I can honestly say for the first time in my life, I actually feel like my hair is pretty. The salon: Super, super classy. The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming. Also for those with sensitive respiratory systems, it did not really smell like most salons do. Aaaaand, they have me AMAZING coffee! :D The cut: I didn't really have a clear idea of what I wanted, and I did a terrible job of explaining, but she worked magic and was super happy to take suggestions and I NEVER felt like she was taking over. She and all the other stylists were super affirming and I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair in my entire life. Even with just the cut and set I learned tons about how to care for my hair eich was dry as a rock. Don't be scared of the price, if you already dislike your hair, what do you have to lose? And if you love your hair, I promise you won't regret it. They will only even make your curls better, no matter the state they are in.

Very knowledgeable and eager to share tips and tricks. As a chain salon, sometimes they can get a bad rap. But this particular establishment has my two thumbs up and a kick a$$ hair do to prove it! Antonella, the owner has been cutting my hair for about 10 years. She used to work at a different…read morestore, but when she left and opened up her own Salon, of course I followed her. She does a great job cutting and colouring my hair. I usually bring a picture in of how I want my hair cut. Rather than cutting my hair exactly like the picture, she knows what will work and what won't work with my hair, so she tweaks it to fit me, which I love. One time she cut my hair and I didn't quite love it when I went home. I came back in and she fixed it no problem, at no charge of course.. When I get my hair coloured she keeps track of what products she'd used before so she knows what she has used before, and if it worked well or not. She's completely honest about it too. For instance, she has tried many different things to get my hair the red colour that I want but it just doesn't stick well with my hair. I went in one time and wanted to try it again. She told me that if that's what I want, she'll do it, but that it will fade quickly because my hair just doesn't seem to want to work with that colour. Blonde would work best, she said. The staff is very personable. They chat you up, offer you a drink etc. They make you feel at home, and they know their customers well. Even me, who only comes in every 3-4 months (sometimes more). Now that I don't live in Windsor anymore, I always try to book my appointments for when I know I'm coming home to visit. This means that I usually book 2-3 months in advance, which isn't a problem. They take walk-ins too if there's room. My boyfriend came when I got my hair cut, and while Antonella didn't have time to cut it b/c she was double booked, one of the other hair dressers did. There is a number of stylists there, so the price range varies. Obviously you pay more for experience, but it's still not that expensive for a Salon. They also have a variety of great AG products, which they use right in the Salon. Something that I really like, b/c then you can buy the product that was just used on your hair if you like it. The only bad thing I may say is that it can be busy sometimes, so make sure you leave yourself lots of time. It's definitely not as bad as going to the Dr. though! Plus, you leave feeling nice and pretty. The parking lot of quite small too. While I've never had a problem getting parking, I am not the best parker, so it takes me a few tries to get into a spot sometimes! lol

She was also very unsure about everything she was doing like she never even went to school for hair. The outcome of my hair was not good. It was all choppy and not even the color I asked for. She also managed to not distribute the color properly. After she saw how it looked she told me she would try and fix it but I did not even want her to touch my hair again. Very disappointed with my hair now and lost all that money for very bad results. Go else where.
